I'm very particular about a few things when it comes to my well-being. My dentist. My ENT. The person who cuts my hair. And who I chose as a Primary Care physician. After living in Louisville for 4 years and going to immediate care on the rare occasion I felt sick, I decided that a) I'm not getting any younger and 2) I really should get a doctor instead of relying on whomever is available when I do need medical care. Once I made the decision to get a PCP I started doing some research.
A lot of research.
A HUGE amount of research.
From the very beginning I kept coming back to Baptist Health Medical Group. In particular, Dr. Wanda Lowe. Sometimes you just get a feeling about some things. I talked to many offices and read a lot of physician's reviews and all roads (and reviews) kept pointing to her. I made my decision and made an appointment to on-board with her. Appointments for new patients was bout 5 weeks out at that time, but I wasn't sick or in need of immediate care so I waited it out.
Appointment time came and I made my way to the office. Keep in mind I live in J-town, so it was a bit of a drive, but I knew this was the right doctor for me.
When I arrived I did some fast paperwork and sat down to wait. Less than 10 minutes later I was taken back and met MaBell, her assistant (for lack of a better word) who took some vitals and went over medical history, allergies, etc. After then Dr. Lowe came in.
I was very impressed with this visit, being my first one to this facility. Dr. Lowe was very thorough and very personable. Her patient manner is very relaxed and attentive. She takes the time to listen and doesn't rush to conclusions. She is genuinely very nice and, based on my comments about Dr. Lowe to my wife, she decided to user her as her PCP as well.
If I could give higher than 100% to this office I would. The office is very clean and nicely appointed, the staff is very friendly and very helpful, and everyone I met is concerned and cares about the practice and the patients who come here.
I know it took me some time, but in the end it was the right choice for me. As long as I'm in the area and Dr. Lowe has a practice, here's the place I'll be going.

This is a new location and a revised name for this practice. Previously know as Louisville Sports Medicine they have now joined the Baptist Health Group. The new facility is very nice and has a the new modern equipment. I have been seeing Kali Edwards for years and she is very good.
