My 10' tree began developing a lean from the first year we put it up. Balsam Hill said in December 2019 they would send a replacement tree. In October 2020 they sent an email to confirm my shipping address, I responded the next day. By Thanksgiving 2020, the warranty-replacement tree had not arrived. Their "customer service" person said my email must have fallen through the cracks. A new tree arrived December 7,2020 with a VERY wobbly stand. Balsam Hill sent a replacement stand that was covered in rust and flimsy with less cross bracing. Because the stands seemed unstable, I was hesitant to set up the warranty-replacement tree. When I finally did set up the tree, it leans worse than the original defective tree. It is now December 21,2020. I have no tree for Christmas despite spending nearly $1K. Balsam Hill is dragging their feet on honoring their warranty. I definitely got taken by this company.

I purchased a $1600 Rockefeller tree in November. First week of December one of three boxes showed up. After 16 calls to customer service I still do not have the other 2 boxes and no idea as to when or if they will arrive. On one of the calls I asked their supervisor if this tree will arrive before Xmas and his reply was I should by a lottery ticket and I might get lucky. This is probably one of the most unprofessional companies I have come across. They are all about market and nothing else. In addition the quality of the tree is no better than what you can get a Lowes, Costco, etc. Not worth the money or hassle. We are now trying to get a refund which is also proving difficult.
I would advise anyone who is thinking about purchasing from this company to stay clear. You will spend more time with customer service trying to hunt down your item. I posted the part of the tree they did decide to send me...

I ordered a 36" led battery light Christmas Wreath from this company, and when it arrived it was 26" on a stretched out good day. They would not give me a full refund, and said I must pay $10 for return shipping as there policy states, " For a return fee to be waived, the item received should be damaged,/flawed,/defective. To keep this short, I can only say, look up the definition of flawed, and defective, then think twice about ordering anything from this company... Godspeed. View Pics below... Does that look like 36" on measuring tape... NOPE!

I spent close to $1000 on a Balsam Hill Tree in 2015 or 2016, due to the fact they claim their trees are lifelike in appearance and are pre-lit in a manner that a single bulb won't bring down the entire string of lights. Well that sold me and the first year everything was fine. However, each year after that I had "stings" of lights go out. What happened to a single bulb won't bring down a string of lights? I called their customer service number on two occasions when I first started having problems and I was sent replacement bulbs. The problem is it's near impossible to determine which bulb(s) are bad. I then was forced to start adding my own lights, to cover the bare spots on the tree. This year (5th/6th year owning the tree) "95%" of the bulbs are out! My wife called Balsam Hill customer service and she was told, they need to get managements approval (which my wife was told should not be a problem) and they will send me 5+ sets of lights (pre-strung) for the tree. Today, I get a call from a Balsam Hill customer service rep and I was told my request was denied because my tree is out of warranty! When I expressed my dissatisfaction and asked the customer service rep, why would I ever spend close to $1000 on a tree that each year the bulbs start going out? I was told by the Balsam Hill customer service rep, anytime you purchase something that is electronic, you have to expect things will go wrong! What amazing customer service and I highly recommend to everyone, save your money and "don't buy anything from the Balsam Hill Tree company". To think I spent all this money, had problems after the first year and each year thereafter and this how I'm treated as a customer! Stay clear of this company! Buy a tree from Costco for half the price and if there is ever a problem, they embody the meaning of customer service and will resolve it at any cost for customer satisfaction. I learned my lesson and I hope this helps others.

Absolutely horrific shipping and customer service. Rest assured if you have any issue at all YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SOEAK TO ANYONE WITH ANY AUTHORITY. Every request is sent to the “back office” and yet there’s no way they can connect you to the back office to actually speak to them. This company is completely disconnected from consumers and only care about money. They have also rigged the internet (they have great tech teams) to have no google reviews and they filter the reviews they post on their site so there is nowhere to actually voice complaints that make a difference. STAY AWAY. I ordered my tree Dec 9, 2019. STILL WAITING ON IT and it’s Dec 4, 2020.

I ordered a lighted garland in October to avoid the holiday rush. Put it in closet and opened day after Thanksgiving to install. Lights did not work. Held for 30 minutes and then requested callback. Callback never came but emailed and received response that since 30 days since receipt, tough luck. No help whatsoever for a defective product. Was previously a loyal BH customer but no more. They do not stand behind their products which are made in China.

We were so excited to order this tree. It arrived quickly but the tree did not light up when assembled. The bottom 2 pieces connect perfectly - the top part would not light up. So they sent us another tree - said keep the first one & hopefully between the 2 we would get 3 working pieces... well same problem with the 2nd tree. We sent them both back over 2 weeks ago & I am still fighting to get my refund. My next step is to protest the charge on my credit card. SO AWFUL! Oh & I left a review on the tree so people would know that it was defective. It's been over 3 weeks & my review is still not on the website... so shady!

After just one year whole section of lights went out. They do not have a replacement section to send me. So sending a string of lights I have to manually place on the tree. How Mickey Mouse is that? I told them To send me a replacement tree and I would sent the Replacement tree back. Which seems reasonable considering the amount of money the tree cost. Agent was very rude and kept talking over me. Next tree I will just save my money and buy from Walmart.

Came in the time promised. As we ordered it after the holidays and therefore received after Christmas we only opened the box and looked at the tree without assembling and “fluffing”. The needles look very lifelike. I’m anxious for next Christmas now! I can’t currently give it 5 stars in good conscience as we did not put it all together or decorate it.

I purchased 3 of the polar bear stocking holders and I am glad I did. They are adorable and great quality. Put 2 of them on my fireplace over the Christmas holiday to hold my grandchildren 's stockings. They have a great weight to them, which I like
Had to purchase the third one for my future grandchild that will arrive in August
These are worth buying.

I have ordered several items from Balsam Hill over the past few months. I have been pleased with both the service and the products (Christmas tree, Christmas stocking, and Spring wreath) that I have received. All were very nice items that we have enjoyed and will continue to enjoy.

The tree I purchased is not full enough, even after fluffing, to hide the metal pole. That is disappointing.

Poor quality. Tree stopped working after two days. Then the return process was terrible!! Horrible experience with customer service and even worse with the supervisor. Have had two other trees with them and have a problem with one of those too. Very disappointing experience when you’ve spent over $700 on a tree. Clearly customer service doesn’t matter nor does a returning customer. Steer clear of balsam hill!!!!

I love Balsam Hill. I’ve ordered 2 trees and 2 ornament storage chests and have been pleased. The trees are beautiful. The only disappointment is that I noticed when I was packing up after the holiday that on one of the storage bags, the seam was ripped open.

Our old tree from Balsam Hill has several lights out. Called and spoke to CS rep and decided to order replacement lights. The replacement lights don’t fit...new base design. The trees are way too expensive for average folks.

Ordering our new tree from Balsam Hill was so easy! It arrived quickly and was packaged perfectly. It will take a bit of time to fluff up the branches, but the included gloves make it so much easier and prevent those pesky scratches/red marks on the arms and hands. Our tree is full, just as the description stated, and the branches do not sag with our heavier ornaments. We love it!!!

Yes, we bought the tree on 'clearance'. The website read that the BH Fraser Fir was discontinued and a new Fraser Fir would be manufactured and marketed in 2020. One could reasonably assume that the clearance sale was to sell the remaining discontinued BH Fraser Fir trees in stock. Balsam Hill sold me a used tree. On delivery, I took photos of the box noting holes punched in the cardboard, and how the box was haphazardly taped for shipment. I almost refused the shipment from FEDEX. Opening the box, all the pieces were there but you could tell from the bubble wrap that was torn and re-taped and the half dozen branch tips that were broken off and in the bottom of the box that this was not a new, discontinued model tree. It was a tree that was used and returned to Balsam Hill and possibly could have been 3 years old since that is the length of a new tree warranty. We like the tree OK. Setup and fluff up videos were helpful. Its hard to get past spending that much money on a tree that someone used and returned for some reason. Balsam Hill should have disclosed that this was not a new tree. I feel deceived.

I ordered a Narrow Woodland Spruce tree after Christmas of 2014. The first year I used it was 2015. It is a pretty tree and has a nice shape. It looks realistic. However starting in 2016 some of the lights would not work.
I ordered some replacement bulbs and fuses in 2018. In 2019 large sections of the lights would not work. I called Balsam Hill and they told me my tree was no longer under warranty. The man told me how to change three different kinds of fuses which I did. The lights would still not work. Then he told me to buy lights at someplace like Lowe’s and replace them on the tree. He told me there was a video I could watch online about how to do it. However, after I did this, my tree melted onto the lights. I found this to be appalling- the fumes were horrible and it seems like a real safety hazard to me. When I called Balsam Hill they did not seem to care at all. All the man told me was that my tree was no longer under warranty. I have pictures of the bulbs covered with melted plastic which I would like to attach to this review but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that.
