Outstanding service, better than John Lewis. I was going to buy this Samsonite bag from John Lewis, but they had terrible customer service. Then I saw BagsDirect's after Googling and I was skeptical as it was discounted and I'd never heard of them before, especially as I was spending over £100 I was not sure. Although after researching them they seemed to be a credible online business, so I ordered but, just my luck, I didn't research and ordered the wrong bag (one that would keep my laptop safe).
BagDirect to the rescue again, I called them first thing and they were amazing. Even though I was my mistake, they were more than happy to change the bag and include the discount code, telephone customer service was outstanding, followed up with updated priced, dispatched, including prompt delivery.
The item arrived, in original Samsonite packaging. By far, better than John Lewis by far!!! I would highly recommend.

AVOID!!! I had such a horrible experience with them today i still can't believe what happened. I made an order yesterday and checked out,paid everything was fine. Today i saw a full refund from them. Without any message. I called them to know the reason. I got such an uggly rude woman on the line saing that i should read and its note very clear that the minimum order should be 150£ the 50£ is for orders over the phone! . On the website its note 150£ and down there minimum order 50£ nothing about over the phone and when i said ok can you place the order over the phone then? She started to lought!!! . And the website allowed me to check out and to pay all was fine just a lier!!! Or is it because my name is not British?!!! I don't understand the reasen but what 100% sure is , is that she shouldn't had to speak to me like this and if it was not the minimum amount the website shouldn't allowed me to check out. She was so rude and finelly when i said that she is doing very rude she disconnected the call! When i wanted to write them an email after that i got a replay from Microsoft back that my message didn't arrive because they think its spam!!!! What a shame what an uggly behaviour ...these people are just cowboys believe me stay away from them if you want good service

Ordered a weekend bag for a Christmas present. They emailed days later after payment saying out of stock but should be back in 7-10 days. Didn't happen. Numerous emails and phone calls with no reply. Ended up getting a refund and shopping else where. Poor customer service.

Ordered an item and was told it was in stock. I had a delivery notification from DHP which they then cancelled and could not get the item for a further week.
Customer service was terrible and they did not care. they did not make any effort to rectify.

I was nervous about ordering from BagsDirect as I haven’t heard of them HOWEVER I am a very happy customer and will be using them again.

I have tried to order a suitcase 2nd time . First they are taking the payment and stating the item is eligible for next day delivery , next day they are sending an email that this item is out of stock . After the first experience I thought I will give them another chance ( I wanted to order the same suitcase just different size ) but there is not point . Apparently they don’t have stock . They are ordering it from the main shop and that is what they advertise .
Advice : when people don’t get the item on the brand’s website ( bcause it’s sold out ) they go on google and try to search for another place to order it from . That is not a good idea that you are still showing the item on your website ( with a “next” sign ( means , next day delivery) and later sending the email that the delivery is in delay because the main website doesn’t have it in stock . Well , we know it’s not , that’s why I wanted to order it from you .
And then obviously , because they already took the payment from your account , you have to wait to actually get your own money back . They could have just not taken it , couldn’t they ?
This website is a joke .

I stumbled across their website by accident and I have to say that the customer service was second to none.
Two new suitcases ordered online at different times on a Sunday and they were here on Tuesday morning. I was kept up to date with the progress of my order at all times.
I would highly recommend this company.

I’ve been using bags-direct for 7 years now. Bought holiday suitcases several times and laptop bags + rucksacks. Product is always reliable, there is a great selection everytime I go on the website and the customer service is very friendly.

What can I say about Bagsdirect easy online buying, very efficient , friendly customs services always taking to friends and family how good Bagsdirect is. I personally want go anywhere else to buys. After reading a number of reviews I was really nervous about ordering from this site but it was a great price and the item was what I really wanted for my daughter!
Nothing to worry about, kept up to date with my order... a slight delay on delivery from Friday to the Monday due to the beast from the east weather - I was emailed regarding the delay and the item arrived nicely packaged and perfect! No negative comments from me!

Ordered a suitcase from their website which appeared to be in stock given I was allowed to add it to cart. They took my money straight away and then I received an email the next day to say it has been discontinued. I asked for an immediate refund which 4 days later still hasn't arrived.

Terrible customer service.
My suitcase broke after using it for the first time.
Have been told it's a manufacturer problem.
Also told that they are not a big company so cannot just replace/refund.

If I could give no stars I would.
I ordered an item costing £146.25, plus extra payment for NEXT DAY delivery, 28th of Dec 17. I had actually expected it to take a couple of days given the time of year. The courier couldn't deliver until the 2nd of Jan 18, five days later, not the NEXT DAY. I was leaving 1st Jan on a work trip, the item was returned for refund.
Bagsdirect dug in and refused to refund the courier charge. Apparently as I didn't burrow in to the terms and conditions to realise that my extra payment for NEXT DAY delivery is only applicable on items ordered Mon-Thur..... Silly of me not to realise that "NEXT DAY" has a different meanings depending on the day of the week!
Then I received the extremely condescending reply (below) explaining that I should have know what Bagsdirect meant by NEXT DAY.... especially as it doesn’t mean actually mean NEXT DAY.
I have never in my life written a review on any website before today but I dislike being treated like an idiot.
Its also worth noting that even their reply Bagsdirect say I shouldn't have expected the delivery the NEXT DAY, while referring to it as NEXT DAY delivery!!!
"The reason that you were only partially refunded is because we despatched your order on time. We despatched your order on Next Day delivery on the 29th. As this was a Friday, your item would have normally been with you on the Monday as weekends are not working days. However in this occasion, Monday was New Years day, another non working day. So considering your order was placed at 22.50pm on the 28th, we got the bag to you as soon as possible, on the next working day, hence the partial refund.

I purchased two American Tourister cabin bags on 17th of March and paid £5.95 for next day delivery as it seemed like a good deal. I received a call on Monday the 19th of March and was advised by Bags Direct that they had only one bag in stock and they had to order the second one from Samsonite who are the supplier. Further, they would give me a refund of £5.95 for the next day delivery charge paid to them as a good will gesture. The lady said they would receive the stock from Samsonite on Thursday 29th March and I would receive both the bags on Friday the 30th. I mentioned I was flying out on the weekend and needed they bags as promised. Everything was fine till Thursday the 22nd of March when I received an email saying there has been a change in your order and it will be delivered on Monday 26th March. I called them up and asked them as to why they had done this and they blamed Samsonite stating that they had delayed sending the bag to Bags Direct and I would receive it on Monday! This was of no use to me as I needed the bags before I left on holiday. I asked to speak to their manager and asked if I could receive the bags on a Saturday and she said I would have to pay £10.50 for delivery. This is just ridiculous! They committed to something and could dot deliver and were further asking me to pay for delivery. They promise one thing, blame some one and don't deliver. I would have got my bags directly from the manufacturer. Now I have no bags to travel with! Stay away as they seem like a middle man who do not hold stock and just buy the stock when an order comes through!! Just avoid them and buy elsewhere, false promises and time wasters!!

Whilst I'm sure there will be good and bad experiences with all businesses, we were very pleased with the service we received from Bags-Direct. We were advised of a delay to our order and offered alternative stock via email. I spoke to customer services, was not put on hold and spoke to a lady called Heena on the phone who was courteous and helpful throughout, and who called us back to advise us that our bags would be delivered early.

I bought a suitcase from Bagsdirect earlier this year and delivery was prompt. After one use there was already a problem with the zip. This was returned to Samsonite under the warranty and within a week a repaired suitcase was returned. Upon using this suitcase again, the same problem occurred so the suitcase was returned again under warranty to bagsdirect and has now been missing in action for a month with no follow-up from Bagsdirect and an overall message that they can not provide me with any indication on when the suitcase will returned at all by Samsonite. I have received no level of client service from them on this last return. They do not care and there has been no pro-active follow-up from them. The only message I receive is 'we don't know'.

After reading a couple of negative reviews, I was slightly hesitant about using these guys but they completely exceeded my expectations. The bag I bought (American Tourister Soundbox) was the cheapest around and also arrived next day (DPD) even though I bought it on the free 5 day service. Great experience.

Terrible company, Go elsewhere!
Ordered an American Tourister nearly two weeks before my holiday. I only got an estimated delivery date after payment which seemed to cutting close. I contacted the company and got a rudely worded reply promising me I'd get it in time. After one day before my holiday I called to see if they were going to fulfil my order and a very rude woman who seemed to lack basic English skills told me "It was impossible!". They refunded I'll give them that a few days later but what a complete headache and I had to take my broken suitcase away with me. Never again, shop elsewhere!

Very very satisfied!!!! It was the first time I buy in Bags Direct and the price was so competitive that I was a bit scared but I am greatly surprised because my samsonite suitcase has been delivered on time and very well packed. I have been informed about what was going on with my delivery all the time at every stage since I placed the order. And finally I received earlier than expected. I give 5* with no doubt!!! I would buy again. Strongly recommended.

They took over a week to actually send the suitcase. It appears that they didn't have one in stock (even when the website showed that it was immediately available).
