I believe I'm the only person in the UK so far to have a B2G bike and I'd like to convey an honest appraisal of my purchase and the bike itself after about a month of ownership.
Let me begin by saying I had previously owned an electric bike, which was a Grace MX2 Urban - Speed Pedelec variant and I've had some motorbike experience too, so in coming to decide on a new electric bike I was looking for something a bit special!
Checking the internet I had come across some potential models from various manufacturers amongst whom were Back to Green, however the Blue XTR Special 3.1 ticked all the boxes for my needs. I wanted a bike that didn't look like an electric bike and that could handle some minor off-roading if necessary, but most of all would give me speed speed and quality. I believed with the Blue XTR Special 3.1 I would get this from a Swiss manufacturer, in a similar way to the German quality of the Grace MX 2 Urban. But with that bike I always wanted more speed than the Bosch system could offer, and the price on the B2G bike was set about right too, so I ordered the bike.
I have to say I found the online purchasing process painless and thereafter the contact with B2G was fantastic, but it appeared I'd have to wait a bit for the model given the pecking order on parts favoured the big players before them. I was prepared to wait and it was certainly worth it! When the bike arrived it of course looked so much better than the images conveyed.
Naturally I was eager to get on the bike on its arrival but had to get the small assembly sorted before this could happen, this was easy enough and although the battery was charged I put it on charge for some time just to be sure. The initial ride was treated with caution as B2G had informed me that the 2.8kw on tap was roughly equivalent to a 100cc motorbike so I set it on power level one and off I went..
A little twist on the throttle immediately conveyed the strength available and I'm not exactly a small person at 179cm/111kg and this was on the lowest setting!
Obviously I couldn't resist though and switched up to level three and opened up the throttle, well.. to say what happened next left me pleasantly surprised would be an understatement! Really the power and speed is intoxicating and you'd have to be in top gear and keep the pressure on in spinning the pedals to have any hope of keeping pace with the might of the motor and frankly I doubt anyone would believe you're the one making this bike go that fast!
I have calmed such matters down now after B2G let me know that it's best to go gentle at first for the sake of the battery, kind of like running-in a fast car when it's new.
As for the bike in general it looks fantastic and is highly equipped. It's just right for me size-wise and it's reasonably light for what it is, it stops quickly on the capable disc brakes, rides very comfortably with the cushion of fairly wide tyres, Rock Shox front suspension forks and Brooks saddle which will only become more comfortable as it shapes over time.
I ordered a rear rack and this also is a quality item, the only problem I have had is has one of the pedals broke, luckily an electric bike meant that I didn't have to pedal to get. I've ordered some heavy-duty Shimano pedals to replace them.
Now onto something I'm having to learn with use of the bike, which is range and battery charge and I have to guess what speed I am doing.. Here's the only area that the Grace MX2 scores over the XTR 3.1 with the Bosch Intuvia display providing all you need to know. With the XTR 3.1 all that's displayed is the battery voltage, so I'm looking out for an application that might assist with some of this, maybe other models have different displays though?
So in summary.. am I happy with the bike? Yes absolutely so and I would have no hesitation in recommending B2G to anyone in the market for a fast, high quality electric bike that's going to give you excitement and ensure you'll always be itching to be back out riding whenever you can and that after all is why you'd buy such a machine in the first place!
All the best

I have been looking for a strong e-bike to ride my kids to Chindsgi up the hills in ZRH, and after testing a few, including the biggest brand in CH, I came across these guys in B2G and their "flying machines"!!
It took quite some time before my XTR Blue 3.0 was put together - but the bike was definitely worth the wait! The speed, the power, the stability ... it's totally different league compared to what's else on the market! I definitely recommend to visit the shop in Kloten and have a test ride - you won't look elsewhere.
On the service level side - I'm confident that Koray and team will get it all sorted to top notch.
