Have used this company several times and what makes them great, over and above the great value for money, is the staff. Simone and Salvadore are superb and so friendly and efficient They make the process easy and quick I will defiantly be using them again

Has to be the worst car rental out there, I booked a car through Rentalcars.com and I was told that no money would be taken until I picked the car up, then they took they took money from my card in months advance.
When I arrived at the malpensa airport in Milan I had to wait outside for almost 2 hours in a thunderstorm for a shuttle, it only took 8 passengers and there were many waiting.
Then finally when we got to their lot and I had waited for almost an hour in line at the desk they start to try and sell me insurance for 400€ almost as much as the rental of the car, I declined and told them I had a visa platinum card with full coverage.
At that moment when they realised they couldn’t sell me the car they take my card and say to me that they can’t trust my card because it may be fake.
After some arguing they threw me out and told me I couldn’t do anything they could not give me my money and I could call Rentalcars.com and they’d give me my money back, which I did but after Rentalcars had called b-rent they declined because they told them that I had brought a debit card and that’s why they couldn’t give me my car, which is a lie because the card is clearly a credit card. They refused to talk to my bank or see or do anything that could have fixed this and threw me out with no money and no car. I then headed back to the terminal walked up to an avis desk and was driving off in a car from Avis in 15 minutes, I used the same card they had declined with no problems.
It seems to me that they won’t give you the car unless you pay this ridiculous insurance doubling the original price, and since their service is awful and with the insurance they are way more expensive I don’t see why anybody would rent with them.
After this incident I’ve decided that from now on I will only rent with the big rental companies and avoid Rentalcars as well.
Rentals like this are giving small rental companies a bad name, and are only making it harder for decent rental companies to fight the big ones

Be careful with B RENT!!!
Via check24 - a rental car online Service - we rented a car in Olbia / Sardegna for one week. For us it was important to have the maximum protection - so we decided to choose an insurance that would cover all possible case of damages - with no excess. We booked and payed this insurance upfront via check24. A few days before our holiday - we got the Information, that our rental car company on-site would be B RENT.
When arriving in Olbia, we had to wait in a queue for more than one hour - outside on the street - indeed the "office" of B RENT is nothing more than a small container at a parking space. However, this wasen't the real problem. When it was finally our turn, B RENT stated, that the insurance that we have booked upfront was not sufficient (by the way, we heard that the 2 account managers next to us, were telling the same story to the customers next to us) They told us, that the insurance would not cover any cases in which the chassis of the car is damaged (which mostly is the case, when you have an accident) as well as any other damages that are not resulting directly from an accident with an other car (eg damages like windschield chips through stones,etc.). They further told us, that if we not taking the additional insurance provided by B Rent (for € 155) we would have to bear eventual costs up to many thousands of euro in case of these damages. So what were we supposed t do? We were forced to take the additional insurance...After our holiday we were contacting check24 and informing it about this case - and they said - that this was not true. The original insurance would have covered all damages. But B RENT did not accept this. Reading through the evaluations here of other customers - they made the same experiences. So - better not book a rental car with B RENT and choose another company.

I was happy at the end of the service and even wrote a good review but a few days later, checking my account, I found out they charged me 23 euros. I wasn't informed of this and immediately asked for an explanation. They only answered I was charged for an extra day and that's it, no proof, no detailed explanations and all their following answers have been like this, super brief with not enough information. In the end they said I returned the car 40min later than expected but they haven't been able to send me any proof of this besides a paper written on the computer with no signature and nothing. I'm really disappointed for the lack of transparency and honesty. I hope I'll get my money back.

Good price, nice almost new car!
Had experience with this rent car service. Great price and good set of options which are included into base packet (no charges for additional driver and etc.). I got option with full insurance coverage (free to drive). And it was really the cheapest price I was able to find! There were no problems with car and with return service! Recommend for all travelers! But don't try to save money - get "free to drive" option! Italian's parking is a big problem in some towns: it's really possible to get small damage on car body! Don't create reasons for your own concerns on vacation (and extra payments on car returning)!

Don’t fall for it. B-Rent is not a trustworthy company to rent you car. We booked a car for 5 days when in Sardinia to drive around the island. Upon check-in, we received a very badly damaged car with no alternative available. We made sure to note all damages obviously, but as as we all know car rental companies happen to run a ludicrous business. We took well care of the car, even gave it a carwash before handing it back in (they charge you a cleaning fee otherwise). Upon returning, the first thing the lady said ‘no insurance’. We had indeed chosen not to pay the extra charge. From the sound of her voice, she was out to find something she could nail us on. 15 mins later, she found a little star in the window (one of those caused by normal usage). It so happens at check-in the windows were not checked. We don’t recall causing this but anyone who has a car fixes this with a little gel. Oh no, the whole window needed to be changed and we would be charge in excess of €350. Absolutely ridiculous and something we did not agree to. Obviously we didn’t sign the documents and disputed the charge. She said head office would contact us. No one ever contacted us and 6 days later we were charged on our CC. I bet the car is still driving around with that little star (considering the damage it already had which hadn’t been replaced) waiting for the next tourist who is made to pay the same charge. We’ve emailed several times to resolve this, but B-Rent have ignored our emails. They won’t speak with us, this seems to be a common theme with other customers. We won’t leave it at this. Only days later we rented a car in Croatia and had no problems what so ever. There is a mitigated risk for both parties but this company abuses their power and position. Stay away for it!!

Alert Alert! Worst experience evert. Despite numerous daily calls, 99% of which were unanswered and emails to customer service, including promises of being called back we have still not heard back from this horrible company about items accidentally left in the car. God knows what you would do if it were a passport. Never use this company. Booking number 718342172 if you want to get back to me @rentalcarscom

Incredibly long wait at Cagliari airport. 3 clerks for 3 customers ahead of us, half an hour of waiting. Check-in procedure took another 15mins, and actually getting the car resulted in another 20-minute torture. The vehicle had so many damages that a huge list had to be written in order to avoid having to pay for repairs at return. Cannot recommend.

This rental car company is a nightmare.
In matter of fact the process will run with my lawyers.
They say something about the insurances and after they check something different on the check-in. For someone not use to this kind of process is very easy to be involved in a big problem.
I had to pay more than 400€ because of a brooked glass, supposed brooked by me???
Not recommended and I will let know all the sites and social media.

I have travelled all over the world and this is by far my worst ever experience collecting a hire a car. I was in Italy for one of the happiest occasions in my life, I was there to get married and spend my honeymoon there. Everything was planned and paid for, so should be straight forward. After queuing and waiting for what seemed a lifetime a despicable arrogant nasty female greeted me at B-Rent with "voucher, driving license, credit card" nothing else. They obviously work on a commission basis as the tactics to force customers to purchase their car insurance is completely unacceptable in this day and age. I paid for the full package with Wisecars and was told I didn't any additional insurance. B-rent INSISTED that I MUST purchase their insurance, and when I say insisted I mean she was literally shouting at me. I refused to pay for further insurance and she took a €900 deposit from my credit card, I asked to confirm when this would be paid back to me she said "it might be". This whole process extended the car collection by about an hour, which in turn made me late to check in my hotel. It felt like I had been in a boxing ring and had to box my way out.

B Rent of Milan certainly live up to what their name suggests. The staff were rude and unhelpful creating friction and unease, both on arrival and departure. We were chastised for replacing a punctured tyre in a garage nearly 2 hours from Milan, telling us that we should have either used the repair kit (they don't have spare wheels for some reason even though we enquired about this at pick up) or called roadside assistance. The tyre was beyond repair anyway. We tried to contact them after reaching our destination and were not given much advice on how to proceed, other than to bring up the issue when we dropped the car off. Yet at drop off we were then told off for not calling them immediately - whatever we did seemed to be wrong! As we explained what happened the member of staff was pulling faces and acting as if we were the first people on earth to have punctured a tyre or committed some sort of crime - when we were just trying to do the right thing in their interests. She clearly had no idea how to handle this relatively simple situation, immediately saying we would likely have to pay €400 to replace both tyres! Finally when she conceded to speak to her supervisor (over WhatsApp but refused to allow us to speak to them) the situation was clarified and we ended up paying €210 (to replace two tyres plus a €70 admin fee). This was taken from my €800 upfront deposit, the remainder of which would take 7-21 days to be returned. The general sulky attitude and disinterest in our problem was not helpful as customers who had already paid them a substantial amount of money. There was no customer service to put us at ease (after what had already been a relatively stressful ordeal) or to encourage us to ever use their service again. In fact, throughout the whole interaction (both at pick up and drop off) we were made to feel as if we were inconveniencing them or committing some sort of crime for daring to hire a car on our holiday. Needless to say, we've now come to know what the 'B' in B Rental stands for

The worse car hire company so far. If it wasn't for pure luck I would still be waiting for a car now. They sell you an extra 37 Euro insurance saying that Booking.com insurance is not good at all.
It took me more than one hour to get a car, but not what I had booked. All the cars had no fuel in, the "upgrade" with full tank was a ripoff (station wagon automatic instead of a Cinquecento manual). All the cars are scratched but they don't even aknlowledge that. They just let you sign and go f-off.

Avoid at all costs !!!!
From someone that’s been lucky enough to travel all over the world this was my worst ever experience when hiring a car. Rude, arrogant customer service and tactics to try and force customers to purchase their car insurance. The elderly lady In front of me was nearly in tears she was so confused. Even though I paid an extra €11 a day with holiday cars to insure the car and on their paperwork it says you don’t have to purchase local insurance B-rent INSISTED we MUST purchase insurance. This lengthens the whole process to around 45 minutes as all customers are confused and questioning this. We refused the insurance and had to pay an €800 deposit which we still haven’t had back. When I asked about this being put back on my card on returning the car they refused to and said it would ‘automatically return’ within 5 days. As of yet nothing had been returned.
It’s only a matter of time that there’s a serious investigation into this company and all the reviews back this up. Trust me on this. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Wish I would read all negative reviews before using this company.

Rented a car in Naples. When we returned the car - NO DAMAGES, FULL TANK - we were told everything was fine. Not given a copy of receipt, nor e-mailed.
Come home to find additional 40euro charge on credit card. Who knows why? No one told us, we have no receipt at discharge. Would not rent with them again. Still no explanation.

B-Rent has not yet transferred my money back even though they admitted it was wrongful debit. See two emails below.
B-Rent tried to charge me many times even though they state in their last email that it happened once and it was unsuccessful.
This is the info from my bank: B-Rent tried to charge me on 12th July, on 16th July, on 19th July, two times on 24th July. All the preveiously mentioned transactions were rejected.
There was a last transaction (Tansaction number: A74463) on the 29th July what was accepted and the 242 EUR has been deducted from my account and arrived to B-Rent's account.
All above are facts and all proof exists in my bank's system and obviously in B-Rent's system too.
The last email from B-Rent:

The price of the service was extremely cheap so we took a gamble on B Rent. We never checked any reviews but we booked a little late and just took the cheapest option on the comparison site.
Well, B Rent is right. It is second rate. The B is for Bad.
Upon arrival to Catania airport we waited for an hour to be seen. We could hear the aggressive upselling from the agents and the customers politely telling them they didn’t need it, with the agent trying to convince them over and over. Well, I’m not that polite and I know when I’m being mugged off. So, when we were finally seen by what must be the worst example of upselling by the most miserable, humourless woman I’ve ever met in a situation like this, I quickly told her that it’s okay, we don’t need extra insurance as we have worldwide cover with a third party company.
She tried to tell me that we don’t have it, pointing to some sign on her desk, telling us that Sicily is a high risk area and we have basically got no insurance so we have to get their extra insurance. After showing her our documents that tell us that when they sold us their rental through the comparison site that it was included, she disputed it. But they cannot change it like this. The Consumer Rights Act in the UK protects us against these bait and switch tactics and they are bound by the conditions on which the agreement was made. We bought the rental agreement through a company that they approve to sell for them, so I told them that we are covered and further to that, we are covered for all scratches and bumps etc through our third party insurance but she just wouldn’t have it. She was arguing with me, telling me I was a liar, that we will end up paying hundreds of Euros.
In the end I had to tell her to stop talking and that she was extremely rude and needed to sort her attitude out. I was in no way rude to her, but I knew that I didn’t need to buy €400 of extra insurance. I checked the contract and there is nothing about Sicily being a restricted, non coverable area. They could not enforce this, it is not in the contract, and I believe it is just a way for them to con you into paying a crap ton of more money. I contacted our third party insurer who said we are covered. I contacted the comparison site who said we are covered. I contacted B(ad) Rent to confirm and complain and guess what, they never picked up the phone. I called 5 times and I couldn’t get through.
The worst thing is that someone who is more vulnerable could be shafted for a lot of money by these methods. It is unacceptable and I don’t understand how it is legal.
We got the car and it was a completely different car. We ordered a SUV type car and got a much smaller car. I had researched the MPG, the boot size, the fuel type and I got everything opposite from what I wanted. I wasn’t happy but I didn’t want to deal with that horrible woman anymore. The guy didn’t even check the car over with us. He reluctantly came and took a record of the damage that was present on the car, which was lucky as I believe they would have tried to pull a fast one later on if we hadn’t.
The car didn’t have an issue with it. We got it back to the airport after our holiday and returned it, and this time the customer service agent was very friendly and had no issues with the car.
Our experience is a 3/10.
* Unbelievably rude, arrogant, aggressive woman serving us. Trying to upsell us and getting abusive when someone defies her.
* Completely different car.
* Had to convince the lazy attendant to check the car over with us.
I’m only giving it a three because of the price, the fact the car didn’t give us any problems and the return was pretty smooth.
I will never use this company again and I implore you to avoid it.

Found this company through a comparison website from our airport car park company (APH). Selected due to price/ car.
We purchased the rent of 2 family cars from Florence for 2 weeks, and also bought a separate insurance to cover any insurance excess.Upon arrival at the airport waited a lengthy amount of time for transport to the rentals and finally got to the car rental desk quite late at night. We were met with 2 extremely persuasive, insistent, arrogant men who took us through the basic insurance included and frightened us to death about what wouldn't be included and how much we could pay for even the most minor of scratches (whilst repeatedly advising that in Italy we must expect scratches/ bumps due to the driving of their own countrymen).
We showed them the contracts we had printed from the car hire company we had booked them through (Cartrawler) and the car excess insurance and they were not interested and wouldn't even look at them, only repeatedly saying in an irritated and patronising manor that we weren't covered. By this time (probably at least 45 minutes including paperwork and online agreements having to be read and signed), late at night, with a lengthy queue of increasingly annoyed customers behind us, we capitulated and paid for the extra full insurance (a further 330 Euros each). Both parties felt only confused and anxious by the onslaught of insistent persuasive talk and gave in under pressure against their better judgement.
Many lessons learnt but heartily do NOT recommend this company. All contact telephone numbers continually engaged.

They kept our money paid in advance even though we were not allowed to rent de to having a debit card instead of a credit card. Every penny they kept. A woman behind the counter just smiled and looked at the cealing. A man just kept repeating it was company policy, refusing to even look at us. This review will be flagged by b-rent. But its the god honest truth. Dont go there.
I am perfectly aware that i misses this in the conditions. Thus, i have rented cars several times before and this has not been a problem as long as I have sufficient funds to cover the deposit. I don’t even care about the 270 euro I lost. I only want an answer to why this condition is important. No other dealer demands credit card. Reading the reviews below one get suspicious to say the least...

I rented car from Olbia airport. My first impressions were very good, not long to wait, friendly staff, very good car and good pricing.
It was not until we returned home that my views changed. I was given the impression I had paid a deposit for fuel which we would be refunded if fuel tank was returned fuel, which it was. The paperwork received at the desk whilst indicating cost was not specific, ie "free to drive" was the description. It now turns out this was for insurance for which I specifically said I did not want.
I emailed both the broker and B-Rent, aside from an acknowledgement, I received no response from B-Rent. My car broker did manage to get a response along with an insurance invoice. This was the first I had seen the invoice, if I had been given or shown this at the desk I would have had opportunity to refuse it.
I now believe with all the friendly chatter I was conned into paying for insurance. If this had not happened I would have happily given a 4 or 5 star rating as every other aspect was very good - such a shame. Gordon Watson
