Staff was very friendly and go carts are always a good time. Highly recommend this place.

This place is top notch. Staff was very informative and kind. Went on a date with my my girlfriend here and we both had a blast. Races cost the same as what you would pay at the ones in the mountains or the beach and they are a lot faster. I also thought it was very cool how they track your race data and give you the printout after you finish.

They were awesome, down to Kathrine giving us great advise and answer all our ridiculous questions to Nick at the axe throwing who let us have a couple free shots each everyone was enthusiastic and excited about their jobs I would highly recommend and will be going back soon. Also if you go on a day writhing your "birthday week" they give you a FREE race!!!

Fun indoor speedway with well maintained carts. It would have been nice to separate those of us who wanted to actually race from those that were on a Sunday afternoon stroll!

This place is loads of fun, fast karts, torquey, and fast track. Staff was courteous. This place is very similar to K1 but a larger track.

Yep place to let your road rage loose !! My son found this place and I though ooooh at 50 something this is going to be a waste of time. Let me tell you I was so wrong. The whole electric go cart thing was great. They are extremely fast but also the races are managed very safe if your there with kids. The track supervisor watching over the races simply hits a button if there is a wreck ( some mom running into a tire) and it automatically slows everyone down. Not to mention no gas smell!! Did I mention no gas smell!!! Yep so that also means the races can be done inside in AC....very cool :))) ... i May have liked it so much because I won every time .

We were really excited to go to the Autobahn Indoor Speedway. We arrived and signed up, it was an easy and quick process. We asked about the time of our heat/race and they said it was the correct time. At that point there were about 40 minutes until our race. It was a Friday night so we understood that there might be a wait, but expected to race at our quoted 9:20 time.
We ended up not getting to race until more than an hour after our time (10:30 pm). When it was brought to their attention, there were no apologies, races with numbers higher than ours continued to be called. If it had been positioned that there could be a massive difference between expected time and the actual time it would've been better.
It was a lot of fun to drive. I love go-carts. No complaints there aside from the fact that if you get stuck in a heat with younger kids that are tall enough, but have no business driving/controlling a speedy go cart it can result in lots of slow downs/blocking that prevents faster/more fun/ more competitive experiences.
But the fact that we had to wait for as long as we did and spent as much money as we did, I don't think I'll go back. I had a lot of fun driving the carts. But the wait and service was a bummer. It really brought the entire experience down and threw off the rhythm of our entire evening.

I can only speak to the axe throwing. We didn't do go carts. Our group of 8 was helped by Patrick and Johnathan. They were fabulous and patient and able to give specific one on one instruction and critiques to our throwing. Sounds like an unsafe thing to do but was very safe. Our group was 16-60 in age and all had fun. We practiced and then Had 2 competitions. Was great for the athletes and competitive souls in our group as well as the non coordinated and non athletic. We will return. Only complaint it's a little hot inside the venue.

Super fun... clean place that's set up really nice... however there was only one guy checking in people at the desk so the payment time took very long.... the set up for the game was easy and informative... I did three races and it's very clear some of the carts are faster than others ... but I guess that just comes with that type of activity! Still a fun time!

We came here specifically for the recently-opened axe throwing attraction, and we can't wait to go back!! The experience was one-of-a-kind with its personalized instruction that allowed us to not only learn the different throwing techniques but actually improve by the end of the hour. Our instructor was extremely knowledgeable, passionate and personable, not to mention an impressive axe thrower. We can't wait to bring a larger group of our friends here for a fresh change up for a night out!

This place was not good, they charged us way over on a Wednesday. And the workers in the front were being very rude, and the racing guard treated two young(16) girls like idiots. Especially the guy who had black earrings red hair and smelt like smoke. Would not recommend. Tree top was better.... they have better class over there :)

It's all fun and games until someone gets hurt. Go kart itself is extreme fun, but with minor safely issues it can damper your experience. Like a little incident that my little sister experienced today. More precautions should be put in place. The go karts have open wheels that your feet are exposed to, there is not a wheel cover to protect your feet from the wheels going at high speeds. they did offer cros for feet protection, but it offered little to no protection. Another issue that triggers me is that the staff was very inexperienced with first aid. They showed little to remorse, as we left they asked "are you leaving yet, okay. Have a nice day" . To anyone who is reading this it's great fun, but if your experience any kind of injury you are on your own. The staff will not be helpful.
UPDATE- My little sister now has an infected foot. Yet to hear a response from autobahn management. Truly disgusted with lack of communication they are not providing nor responsibility

Lots of fun. I recommend going as a whole group those. We raced with people we didn't know and a guy completely ran into my husband. His back was bruised the rest of the week. If you go with people you know, people you know tend to be more cautious.

I had been here with two friends and a five-year-old a while back. While my coworkers were overjoyed and couldn't stop talking about coming here, I as an Asian American cannot find anything interesting about driving around in circles for leisure. Driving for me is to get me from point A to point B. I can see why kids want to do this though. Since I did not partake in operating any of these motor vehicles, my review is based on the experience of a spectator in this establishment as I'm sure many non-thrill seekers would appreciate. The place is huge. HUGE! The registration area outside the racing area is pretty much spotlessly clean. Loved that. The inside had plenty of seating where people waiting for their turn (and me!) could sit like at a restaurant. The one complaint I would have is that there is no food. Hopefully they can offer some food in the future, as every Yelper can agree with me....Food is life. As my two friends got into their racecars, I became the designated watcher of their purses and the five-year-old since she wasn't allowed to drive. She was sad at first, but we got to see her mom race around! I got to see my friends race back and forth from last and second to last place so that part was entertaining for me. They show the times and laps of each driver on the big projector screen. I'm fairly certain I will never pay money to drive one of these things, but I definitely do not mind being the purse watcher while my friends drive!

Before I start let's just say FAST electric go carts!!!!!! We came here on a Saturday at a spur of the moment race with my daughter and good friend... we all did the 3 race tickets... saves ya 10 bucks so why not. At fist my 12 year old was sad because she did not get do drive the adult carts.... the adults raced first, and there was only 3 of us on the track the fist race.... fast is an understatement... then my daughter got in her car after our race finished.. she had the track all to herself... the smile on her face was worth the pricey admission :) she has raced many gas carts before so I knew she would love it... this track has a lot of curves so too speed is hard to achieve... but fun none the less... we all raced 3 races.. so on our second and third adult races we had a total of 10 drivers... this really makes it difficult to get your best lap time.... and when other drivers do not heed the let the faster drivers pass you get a ton of squealing tires and break lights.... i for one floor it almost the entire time :)
Great way to spend an hour on a Saturday afternoon...

Clock ticking away, wheels squealing all to get a new best lap time. What a great way to spend an hour!
When you first arrive they have the typical check in procedure for a place like this. Going over basic safety and rules for racing. Quick and easy process and then you're off to the races. They have two classes of races, adults and juniors. The adult cars max out at a higher top speed and are a little larger than the junior sized cars.
Into the pits....time to gear up and get ready for the first race. Watch the screens that display the race you will be in next and identify the car you will be racing in. Into the car and its time for the race to begin. Once everyone is out on course its pedal to the metal, adrenaline pumping, race action.
Our first race was a great introduction! My friend and I and one other person. Really allowed us to get a feel for the cars and the track. We won't talk about placement in this race though...I mean it was our first race and it was learning the course. After the race you get a 10 minute break so that the Juniors can get their turn. Trust me you won't mind this break, as it turns out this is quite a work out on the arms.
Now a journeyman racer, and a full squad of racers it's back for round 2. This time was even more fun than the first race. Little more difficult to race with 8 people on the track. Speeding through turns and figuring out how to pass groups of racers all while trying to get better lap times. Racing at it's best.
Third stint behind the wheel was the best yet! Trust me on this one if you haven't had an opportunity to experience this place you need to try it out. They offer race packages during the week and weekends that save you a few $$ over buying individual races. Also, they offer corporate packages so you can have company meetings or team building outings. Unique experience that you should really give a try.

So fun! We did this with a group of friends so we were able to have our own races! The first race my car was messed up so that stunk because I wasn't able to keep up and ended up crashing from it slowing down and speeding up on its own. That hurt! Luckily the guy noticed in the middle of the race and "stopped" the race to see what the issue was, they gave me a refund for the race which was very nice. Second race was awesome! My car was fast and I was able to enjoy the speed and sharp turns! Highly recommend for groups! It does take a while so I'd plan on spending hour or two depending how many races you do, they have 10
Minute intervals between races so you can't go back to back.

What a fun place!
Great design inside and it seems clean.
The staff was professional and gave clear instructions.
The actual cart and races were fun.
Equipment is well maintained it seemed and I had a blast. I wish the races were longer but they have a business to run.
I will be returning here as soon as I can.

My office recently had a party here and it was a fun, unique place to go! Even if you're not driving, the set up keeps everyone involved on the sidelines. There is space for private parties where you can cater in food and drinks. The staff is really friendly and has your best interest in mind. Their goal is for you to have a good time! We will definitely go back again!

My trip to Autobahn Indoor Speedway was an interesting experience. First, it's located in the middle of nowhere with no food establishments close, and they do not serve food. This is important to note if you show up on an empty stomach because you may be waiting a while for your turn (more on that later).
I showed up with some friends around 7:30 on a Friday evening. We all signed up and watched the instructional video. It didn't take long, maybe 15 minutes until it was time for our group to drive. I don't particularly like high speed environments, so this wasn't my favorite place to be. That being said, I felt safe in my cart and heavy duty helmet. It was also interesting to get a printout afterwards that showed how each person in our group did and how each placed.
When my group was done we decided we would sign up to go again. By this time, many others had arrived. After a brief delay, we tried to sign up and learned that we wouldn't be able to drive again until 10:30. The entry fee isn't cheap, and, after paying for multiple rides in advance, I wish someone had told us about this potential extended wait in the beginning. It almost certainly would have influenced our purchasing decisions. Given that there isn't really anything to do while you wait and we were getting tired, we decided to call it a night.
Moral of the story, only pay for multiple experiences if you have time to burn. They said Saturday is crazy busy, so I would suggest avoiding that day like the plague.

Had a blast here! I'm definitely going to keep this place in mind when planning a party or team building meeting in the future. Very clean and the safety gear and karts were in great condition. If you're looking for something fun to do on a date or with the kids, you'll have a great time here!

Vroom vroom, kart racing on an indoor track. This place is serious fun.
The Autobahn is a great idea that is well executed. The karts are modern, electric vehicles that are capable of speeds of up to 50 mph. The facility is a huge warehouse that is heated and air conditioned. The climate controlled environment will really be appreciated during the Alabama summers.
To ride, you are required to agree to a lengthy waiver that made me pause. This could be dangerous... is my insurance current? After some brief instructions, you get a head sock and full racing helmet. I felt like I was Mario Andretti. My heart began to beat faster as I climbed into my racing machine. After a cautious first lap, I remembered to breath. The course is very technical, and the numerous turns require complete focus. The racing is timed so you are staggered at the start. Once the starter waved the green flag, my instincts took over. I raced like my life depended on it. The 14 lap race probably took 7-8 minutes, but time flew by. There was a lot of passing, bumping, and jockeying for position. It was exhilarating!
Our group had three races (practice, positioning heat, and final race) as part of a package deal. After all the sliding, bouncing, and being jarred around, we agreed three races was just enough. For each race, you get a printed report that contains detailed statistics. It includes finishing order, fastest lap, average lap, and more. Once you are added to the computer system, they will keep track of your racing history.
Autobahn was a wonderful experience. The facility and karts are first class. The staff was knowledgeable and helpful. Until next time, it's back to driving the minivan for me.

I wish I could legally change my last name from unhappy. This was the best experience you can have in Alabama! The karts go at high speeds, and it provides friendly competition. I feel like a real F1 driver when I'm there. The wait and the price are definitely worth it. Quality racing! The people working there were friendly and helpful. It is pretty much impossible to not know what to do. 10/5.
