At this point, I did not answer as I had a gut feeling that it was bogus. Then I get this email and also received a cashiers check in the amount of $3,955.00 telling me to use some of the money to make purchases for the business and to keep $700 for myself. Here is what the last email said:

How are you today? I am sorry for not corresponding accordingly, I have been battling health issues and I have been in the hospital. I hope you received the employment agreement documents from HR. I have a few tasks for you, I have listed below the items I need you to research. Follow the instructions below to complete your assignment.

1. I need you to get me a competitive quotation on 10 laptops (500gb HDD and 4Gb ram), 5 printers and scanners. These items are needed for the new office.

2. I also need an idea of gifts we can purchase for 10 teachers (7 female and 3 male) in an orphanage.

3. I need a quote for toys we can purchase for 15 kids. 7 boys and 8 girls ages between 8-10. Educational toys preferably, 1 toy per child. No price range.

4. I need you to find out how many Walmart, CVS and Kangaroo Express stores you have around you, Let me know how close they are to you.

5. I need you to find out 3 warehouse around you, let me know the sizes, payment plans and location.

6. You will receive a package via www.usps.com with tracking 9470101699320025792422 containing a paycheck to be processed for your weekly salary and for purchases of the items you are working on. Once you receive the check, take it to your bank today and have it deposited into your account. Funds will be available in your account under 24hrs if not instantly. Let me know once it is deposited and when the funds will be available. It includes your weekly salary of $700 so you can use it when it is available.

I asked a computer friend to help me investigate and I've seen others on this site complaining about the same company.

Craigslist Listing for a part time job. This a completely bogus and the start of theft identity. Stay away from providing additional information.

I received an email after applying for multiple jobs on indeed saying that this company had received my email and that i was being shortlisted for an employment opportunity. I had recently applied for a lot of jobs online so this did not seem abnormal at all. I al seems to good to be true though and it was! BEWARE PEOPLE THIS IS DEFINITELY A SCAM! please do not release any sensitive information. Luckily they only got my email, telephone number and address.

After posting my resume on Monster and Indeed, I received an email from Acmon Systems stating that based on my resume I was hired as a Personal Assistant for Kyriakos Metaxas, CEO of the company. They claimed they would be sending me paperwork from HR to fill out (which THANKFULLY) I did not receive until today along with a Cashier's Check for $3,955 so the only info they have on me was what they got from my resume (Name, Address, Cell # & Email). I received a text from Kyriakos Metaxas cell phone (205) 286-8728 shortly after receiving the check in the mail asking me if I had filled out and faxed the HR forms needed. I replied that I did receive the Cashiers Check and all documentation and was turning it over to the police since this was an obvious scam. I changed my email password, and I did call the local police who started to block all communications with the scammer, report it on here, and not to worry about it since they never got my bank info or additional personal info. Should I do anything further? I have attached the emails, a copy of the Cashiers Check, and the USPS shipping label to show where it came from. I have blacked out all my personal information.
