Have had to redact review detail on the owner even though that information is freely available on Companies House. Like so many others here.. previously a very happy customer but suddenly everything’s gone dead. Website and phones are down and no one responds to emails. Companies House reports they are overdue their accounts so I fear the worst and will never see my current order for suits or shirts. Horrible way to treat customers with no communication or engagement. The owner is clearly a man of extremely poor character and very little moral compass.

Paid for a suit in January 2019 and was told it would take 8 - 12 weeks. It's now August 2019 and no progress. No response to emails, website fails to load, phone disconnects. Can only assume they've gone out of business and I've lost the money. Avoid at all costs. Updated on 6/8/19: Spoken with Trading Standards and the Insolvency Service. Looks like they were due to be struck off the list of registered companies, but that's been put on hold following an appeal. All emails now bounce back. Have lodged a case with Trading Standards and been told to put something in a hard copy letter to ASTF, then follow up again. Rubbish way to treat loyal customers regardless of your trading circumstances. If ASTF comes back, they'll have lost me as a customer, and many others I suspect.

Honestly very poor service. Decided to go with these guys as was GETTING MARRIED. wanted a nice fitting suit. Had to wait months to find out the initial measurements were completely wrong. Unable to change it/alter it before my wedding. Unbelievable. If I could give these guys a 0 out of 5 I would. Didn't even offer me any alternatives when it was there fault I'm the beginning. I mean how can you make such big mistakes when measuring??? That should be bread and butter. NEVER GO WITH THESE GUYS.

Suits not delivered and zero response to refund request. After ordering my suits more than a year ago and loads of rubbish service along the way, they lost my suits after my last fitting. UTTERLY APPALLING customer service, they won’t even speak to me about my request for my money back. Calls and emails go unanswered

Absolute fraudsters. It's nearly a year since I paid for my suit, and I still don't have it. I was promised a refund in October 2018, but that's never appeared, and whenever I chase, nobody answers the Customer Services telephone, nor do they respond to emails.
I notice that they are still spamming me with "special offer - pay up front" emails. I assume that the company is in financial difficulty, and is punting out these offers to try to get some money into the business.
Do not touch with a barge pole - one of the worst companies I've had the misfortune to deal with.

Bought 4 suits and all had holes in crotch in under a year. They said they would replace but that was 9 months ago and no movement. Customer service lies, doesn't pickup phone and didn't call back. Terrible quality and terrible customer service. Do not buy.

Ordered and paid for a suit in December 2017!!. After a number of abortive attempts the finally said they would honour the contract. Now it seems they have gone into liquidation - Again!!!

This would be a ZERO STAR review if I could. Utterly terrible, I've been waiting for a suit for a year and 10 shirts since January - I foolishly believed their reboot story. I've done all the measurements, chosen the material etc and not update in months. I call, mail and so on and get no response whatsoever. You are better off setting fire to your money - giving it to these shysters is throwing money away.

Just like a lot of the comments on here...avoid! I made an order in January and still waiting.
Their customer service is abysmal, if you do get through which is near impossible you will be met with the same response..2 weeks. Never received an email/call to inform me of delays.
This is my 3rd time ordering with ASTF. Kicking myself for not heeding the warnings. I first came across ASTF when they visited our offices, nearly everybody who ordered from them has experienced long delays.
Like some of the previous posts I was seduced by an offer which was too good to be true.
Heed my advice...AVOID!

You'll see how the all 5* reviews switched to all 1* in August 2018. Such a shame to see this company go down so hard, but then to limp along in this way providing next to no service.
My story is the same as everyone else's. A suit ordered and paid for, but no delivery and no customer service response. At least I'd paid through PayPal and their cost reimbursement system works. Got my money back and took it elsewhere.

I was measured for a suit on 19th April 2018 and was required to pay in full in advance. It is now 11 months on. They have not made the suit. They do not reply to me. I am suing them.

Went in for an initial conversation with Maxine, who was extremely useful back in early Dec 2018. Was advised not to get measured until after Christmas because of obvious size changes over the festive period. Returned early January to be measured, and my best man did the same early February. This is for a wedding on June 1st.
I chased after 8 weeks and was told it was nearly finished and would ship the following week. I chased after 12 weeks and was told that they had no idea where our suits were. I asked bluntly if I should find another option, to which I was told "yes". Another company had to get me a suit made with an express service which cost me just as much as I've lost to ASTF.
I've tried countless times (through phone calls, in-person appointments, emails and even recorded letters) to contact anyone in management to discuss my case and organise a refund. Absolutely nothing. Even their email addresses no longer work and you can no longer book an appointment with anyone.
An absolute scam of a company. Completely unbelievable.

Same as other recent reviews - ordered a suit in November 2018, told 6 weeks delivery, then heard nothing. After lots of unanswered emails, eventually got an apologetic response saying would be 10 January 2019. That came and went, and after lots more unanswered emails, I eventually contacted my credit card company and raised a chargeback :(

Ordered a suit for our wedding in January, advised wedding date was May. Chased, chased and chased and was fobbed off with excuses about a flood in their factory (it was an earthquake the year before) - it's just lies. The company clearly has no cash to pay its suppliers, so the suits aren't getting made. Yet ASTF keeps taking people's cash. It's an utter con. Paid on my credit card, so going through them to claim the money back. DO NOT BUY A SUIT FROM THIS COMPANY. AVOID.

As everyone else below...I was promised a "perfect" suit almost 2 years ago now for my wedding. Had to eventually go out and buy another 2 days before my wedding.
I was promised a 50% refund with the option of tailoring a brand new bespoke suit. I accepted (I was just frustrated with their customer service and wanted an end to it all). Still nothing.
About a year later, I call them due to pathetic delays, awful measuring etc. My suit arrived through post and it was AWFUL. Measurements were all over the place. I called them up and let them know that I did not want any further tailoring appointments, it was just a waste of time. I asked them to process my refund (I would have just accepted the 50% and wash my hands with them). Since then, I have contacted them every month.
I am always told it is in process and can only be signed off by the CEO (who is scum as everyone knows!). I can now no longer reach them at all.
I wish to go for a full refund now because I am so annoyed - a waste of £1300.
Can anyone advise on steps they have taken that have been successful? I would have taken legal steps but this will cost more than I would get out of it which is so unfair.
Hope to hear some success stories.

Could only give one star as no option for zero.
Went to ASTF full of optimism - good initial consultation and then zero follow up after.
I chased them via phone, email, Facebook and in person.
It’s been 3 months hence I contacted my debit card provider and got a chargeback payment for the full price.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I'm a repeat customer, having ordered from A Suit That Fits many times in the past. Previous orders (before the ownership change) had been a positive experience and great customer service. My last order in November was the polar opposite. Whilst the initial consultation was (as usual) very good, customer service following this has been appalling, to say the least.
I was told the order would take 6 weeks. 6 weeks later, no email, no call to tell me why it was delayed. I called the helpline. Rather than being answered in the UK, this went through to a call centre in India. The person dealing with this couldn't tell me anything useful about my order, and just told me it should be another week. Another week later, no call, no emails, logged in online and nothing had changed. Tried phoning the helpline, but no answer so I left a voicemail, I've not received any reply since. Sent them an email, but no email reply since.
I decided that if this is how customers are treated when their orders are late, it's a very bad sign of the state of the company and that I would reclaim the money via the credit card company (through which I've now received my refund).
I'm sorry to say that the company is now letting down its existing customers and staff. What was once a successful story (at least from a customer satisfaction perspective), is now a nightmare.
If you cannot respect customers who have paid good money, by at least communicating properly when things are late, then you do not deserve to be in businesss. I would strongly suggest that anyone thinking of placing an order does not, as your money, or time, would be put at risk.

Please avoid the headache and try another tailor. I bought made to measure suit over a year ago due to the various fitting and time delays I never quite got the perfect suit. My last visit to them they took my suit to make the necessary adjustments (mainly the sleeves were too narrow), but never heard from them again and found online that my suit was discontinued. I was aware of all the negative feedback, but what angered me more was these emails enticing more customers to place orders. At the end of the day the company is a gimmick which over promises and never delivers (quite literally). Very luckily I managed to get a credit card refund as they understood customer service.
