I can't speak for all branches but my local branch are brilliant. I have a trade account with them and although they are not my main supplier they go above and beyond to help and their products are top class.

I have a trade cash account and these days I mostly use my friendly local TP at Fakenham (Norfolk) for a range of items, especially timber, which is decently priced. I've also used the Dereham branch quite a lot, mainly for heavyside materials. Delivery was always a pleasure, driver Leigh always willing to go the extra mile to unload my goods exactly where needed. It's great that TP have branches in other towns and cities where I can use my trade acount, and ordering online is a breeze. Overall TP isn't always the cheapest but I do rate their service and convenience.

Placed order online initially and was given a provisional delivery date. Had a telephone call the next day to say delivery would be 3 day earlier. Fantastic result! Great customer service when I had a query via telephone and email. Speedy responses and friendly team. Everything delivered in perfect condition and exactly where I needed it. Will definitely use again when required and will recommend them to everyone.

Read the small print. My advice in dealing with this Company is whatever you do make sure you read the small print. Its cost us a fortune. This would be no stars but apparently you have to leave a star.....

TP accepted our order on 10 August and immediately took our £340 for the item. We received notification that the order was accepted and would be delivered to our post code. A month later we still had received nothing and I phoned them and was informed "we don't deliver to our area" despite a TP depot being 10 miles away. I was then informed I'd have to wait another 5 days to be reimbursed when it can be done by BACS in 2 hours. If I had not phoned and complained I doubt whether I would ever have received a refund. If this is how TP treat their customers I can well see the company going under. Dreadful company.

Absolutely shocking customer service. Few hundred pounds on a shed that never turned up. No contact from the supplier and lack of effort from travis. Awaiting a refund.
Will not be using travis again

Be careful when you get a delivery with Travis Perkins in Newport.
My neighbour got a delivery yesterday and these people drove totally on my front garden and destroyed whatever there was. I’m still alive just because I’ve jumped out from the grass.
I tried to chase them but they didn’t stop.
Very professional 👏🏻

Quite aweful service from the Burnham on crouch branch.
Not only over ordered and forgot delivery day but been waiting for collection and refund for over a week.
Promised collection today (after terrible attitude from lady in branch) and surprise didn’t turn up
In today’s environment I’d expect better service.

Forget contacting Buildbase & MP Moran, who NEVER call you back. Go straight to Travis Perkins,Watford and ask for Alex. We wanted a clean stone and particular sizes to go under permeable paving.
Alex was able to source the product for us whereas the two other suppliers were not interested, probably because it was a small quantity. Paid for product, delivered within two weeks. Very pleased with the customer service from the beginning to the end. Delivery driver,Shaun lovely guy, who had to make a couple of adjustments to get the bulk bags over the fence - nothing was too much trouble. Great customer service. Thank you.

Last Friday I had a so called delivery from Travis Perkins of concrete slabs, concrete, sand to lay a base for my garden shed. The elderly man turned up with only my supplies in his van. He stated the company policy now, due to covid, was only to do kerbside deliveries, not able to go on to customer property. As my garden is in the back of my house, I asked how the stuff was supposed to get in to the rear of my property. The man said it is not his problem, he shouldn't be lifting this stuff and if I didn't like it he would go. I then said he could drop the stuff outside my front gate. He just about managed to get the small bags of cement & sand off the van but then said the slabs were too heavy to move so he was taking them back. He had no equipment to move anything so I suggested taking the slabs individually off the van. He asked, "are you going to help me" to which I had no choice but to agree or probably never see them again. We both lifted these slabs which were also left outside my property.
Well I don't know what any one else thinks, but this is not any kind of delivery service. TRAVIS PERKINS IS A DIAGRACE !!!!

I visited my local branch of Travis Perkins last Monday -- it is situated in Boleyn Road , Stoke Newington, London. I needed fence panels and a lot of help as I am not a builder! I was treated with great courtesy and kindness by Dee who was so very helpful. I was under the mistaken impression that I could carry the panels home on the bus. Dee really went the extra mile-- personally collecting the panels from another branch to make sure that my fence panels were delivered in time. I needed them very quickly as a handyman had already been booked to fit them. Dee needed to consult with Danny who I think was the manager. He was also very helpful. . It was a fantastic start to my week. To think that such kindness still exists in this world-- I highly recommend this branch!

A big thank you to Travis Perkins Team at Ashton under Lyne, for prompt Saturday delivery. Mr Kershaw for providing a price and for the delivery driver and their excellent customer service. Purchased a bag of 20mm shingle for hard-standing. Driver has placed the Bulk Bag in the best position to enable me to do the work.

Last year I bought some wood from Melksham store. . They cut it into a manageable length for me so I could get it into the car (albeit at a specific length I asked for). Happily said “No problem, it’s all part of the service”. I Returned today to abruptly be told “We don’t do a cutting service I can give you a saw”. As a very amateur older female DIYer trying to build a chicken run that was rather rude. I promptly went to another company a stones throw away who happily cut several pieces for me. Even taking the time to work out the minimum number is planks I’d need. I know where I’ll be going in future.

Really annoying experience.... Thought I had prepared an easy trip for myself by going online and through click & collect at the Pancras branch.... Got my text message confirming my purchases were ready for collection ..... I turn up and thats actually a lie, the items were in stock (but not if I arrived ten mins later as someone was in the process of buying the last of the plywood I had already purchased!).. However I had to go to the till area get a proof of purchase print out, take it out to the yard and search for everything! (Apparently its only small items like screws that are bagged up ready for customers to click and collect, why did my order of huge timber get accepted and confirmed ready to collect?!).. Then after insisting for help from disgruntled staff with larger pieces, the poor team member had to hand write each item onto a docket and sign it for me to take back in to the counter in order to get my actual receipt. J.O.K.E.....Waste of paper, the team members time and mostly my time! Took two hours instead of an anticipated 15 minutes, please engage common sense and cut the red tape, docket nonesense. More importantly: STOP MIS-LEADING CUSTOMERS! Click and collect means just that, you're a timber merchant are you not?! If I wanted to order screws and hinges I would just have them delivered same day on Amazon Prime lol! Otherwise products were fine.

I visited the Travis Perkins branch in Penrith after having a bad experience in a nearby building merchants. Feeling very disheartened when I walked in the door I was greeted by a gentleman who told me that they didn’t have a bathroom showroom but the Carlisle branch did. I made an appointment for a site visit and went the following day to to make my choice and discuss ideas. Kelly was great she made suggestions and wrote everything down telling me that she would send it all to me in 3D form and was happy to change things if necessary. I would highly recommend the company.

Second time ive ordered ton bag of gravel and wont be doing it ever again. My first order about 4 months ago arrived late but because they have a local branch in pocklington decided to give them a second chance. Went into the depot on 13/8.ordered & paid in full. Was told it would arrive the following monday/ tues (19/20 aug) nothing arrived. Rang them on the weds 21/8 and given a cat & dog story . The usual crap.....lorry broke down and only one lorry ! FFS ! As of fri lunch 23/8 still no gravel ! Go elsewhere for home deliveries . If youre lethargic, dont give a toss, this set of morons will suit you to a tee

Placed an order for delivery over a week ago and told they could not deliver until this Monday.... 16:45 phone call to say could not make delivery cause lorry was too big to get down street...
1: had a delivery 6 weeks ago no problem
2: branch is just around corner so they know where I live.
3: I moved in to my property 8 weeks ago, removal truck was huge and they managed.
Conclusion: was late in the day and could not be arsed.
They claim to come tomorrow ... may be the street will be wider then ?

Travis Perkins Oxford (Sandy Lane) is complete shambles. I placed an online order on Sunday 28 July, with 'free' delivery, to be delivered on Wednesday 31 July (estimated delivery), at a distance of about 2 miles from their store. I called them on Wednesday afternoon to ask about my order, and they were clueless! They told me that they were supposed to call me to confirm a delivery date, but they didn't. The person on the phone promised that although it was now meant to be delivered on Friday 2nd, they would get a courier to deliver on Thursday 1st so that I wouldn't lose another day. I spent all day Thursday waiting for the delivery, again no show, so again I called them and again they were clueless about my order! So another guy now promised that it would be delivered by evening on that day (Thursday) and I should make sure I stayed put. He also said that they don't really bother with small orders (note: £225) and another company or courier is responsible for these deliveries. So I waited onsite until 10pm and again nobody showed up, even though their store closed at 5pm and they could have called to say that it wouldn't be delivered (since nobody had loaded the order by the time the store was shut). So on Friday morning the same person who promised the order to be delivered by end of previous day, and should have called when there was no chance of it being delivered, he called to say that the order is just being loaded! As this company is run by amateurs with no respect for their customers, I will report them to trading standards and also claim for 3 days of lost earnings due to their sheer lack of competence. Stay away from this company and their 'free' delivery.

We regularly use our local branch as we live across the road but won't be doing so any more!
Ordered coping stones but when delivered they were returned by the workman, who was waiting at our property to use them to finish a job, as they were all chipped, cracked & damaged delaying completion the job.
When I called them there was no apology. Just told that if I wanted replacements it would take a week as would have to be ordered in. I requested a refund which I was told would be put in the safe to collect but was still not available 2 days later.
Why did they think it was ok to send us the rubbish from their yard & then to offer no apology?
So 2 weeks on, I e-mailed as requested yet still no apology for the shocking service at Travis Perkins!
Still no reply from Mr Adekanbi. Disappointing but not surprising. Matches the shoddy service so far.

At Jessie Road Aldridge on 01/06/19 your delivery driver turned up early on Saturday and woke the neighbours up by blasting dance music for 10 mins. Unprofessional company image.
