I have trust issues so was very skeptical about all of this. They were awesome! Kept in contact the whole time through the whole procedure. Very fast and smooth!

NOTE: LONG REVIEW BUT HONEST
I sent Worthy the following; a 4ct. Unheated Sapphire platinum & Diamond ring, 2 natural fancy yellow diamond rings and a Tsar era pendant made by Kochli. (less than 5% of all Sapphires are unheated). Here's how Worthy works; they assume you don't know the value of your items; It starts there. (With 20 years in Jewelry & a GIA Diamonds grad; I wasn't an ideal Worthy candidate.)
Upon receipt of my Items they informed me that they felt the Sapphire significant enough to send to GIA for a country of Origin report. (A 4 week process). I know they were hoping it was from Kashmir (making it more valuable or Burma). But anyone can look at it who knows gems and see it wasn't Kashmir but it was their money. I assumed (wrongfully) that in the meantime they would auction the diamonds. We were not selling the items in a lot so why wait? I send numerous emails inquiring about the diamonds and most went unanswered until finally the Sapphire returned and they had me make an appointment for a 15 minute phone conversation to set the auction prices. When Melissa Miller called my first question was logically, Where was the Sapphire's origin? She didn't know, had to get report (on hold twice; time 2:35 seconds). It wasn't Burma or Kashmir and here is where the deal went south. She referred to it as a 3.24 ct sapphire set with two round diamonds. It's 3.92 (I weighed it myself and GIA has certified it as 4 ct., I had mailed Worthy the GIA copy). And it is set with two emerald cut diamonds; not rounds. I then assumed she had the wrong stone/ring. I did not allow it to go to auction.
I then asked about the larger yellow diamond. She referred to its clarity as VVS2 (a really good grade) It isn't. It's an I (imperfect) at best. She really wanted to rush me through the clarity grade report pointing out this was only a 15 min. Consult. You have a very short window to decide after waiting weeks. But how can you as a consumer assign value without knowing the clarity? It is a fast hustle. Worthy wanted to set the reserve at $1,200; I insisted it be $1,700. Of my 4 items that was the only one I let them auction. It got a high bid of $636 and 48 views (it has gotten more on EBay). Upon mulling over our Sapphire discussion; wrong size stone and wrong setting. I emailed them and said I wanted my 4 items back ASAP.
I did get them back in three days but here is the scary part; they shipped them FedEX and the total value on the insurance was $1,800. THAT WOULD NOT EVEN COVER THE SCRAP VALUE OF THE GOLD AND PLATINUM. (Actual retail of all 4 items was $32k.) Keep that in mind, Your items are shipped back not even covered by wholesale pricing. Am so glad they didn't get lost. They will tell you the item is sent to GIA but on every listing there isn't a GIA cert but IGI; HUGE DIFF in the trade. You will be in limbo as long as 4/5 weeks after they receive your item before it's auctioned. Bottom line; if you don't have a recent appraisal, know the grade of your diamonds and are willing to take 1/3 of the value (wholesale) you would be better off at a pawn shop or your local jewelers. But, If money doesn't matter and you want quick cash, Worthy may be a great choice. Hope this helps someone not get ripped off.

When you contact Worthy, they are all smiles and help. They will bombard you daily with emails, texts and/or phone calls, which really turned me off. Eventually though, I sent my wedding sent to be auctioned. After receiving a recommended reserve significantly lower than other sites I contacted, I decided to have the set returned and sell it privately. More than 2 weeks later and I am still waiting for my rings. I've had to call multiple times, first to be told that they would have it sent within 10 business days. Days later, still no word on tracking information. I call again and am told there was an issue remounting the ring (thanks for letting me know) and that another agent would contact me later in the day. 4:00 still no call. I call back and wait quite awhile before I finally speak to said agent who explained their in-house jewelers weren't capable of remounting my diamond because it was too complicated for them and they sent it out. While I got apologies, it is inexcusable that Worthy did not make the effort to reach out and let me know what was going on. This company is probably wonderful if you don't mind being low-balled on your valuables, but Heaven forbid you choose to find another path and ask to get your stuff back. Good luck with that! As a result of Worthy's incompetence, I lost a potential sale that was double the reserve recommended. Thanks Worthy!!!

FedEx mislabeled my package that was supposed to go to Worthy. Worthy was very poor in communicating the problem with me and took several days at a time to respond to me. They knew the problem was not on their fault but still felt like they didn't want anything to do with me. I had to call and email them countless times to get a statement from them.

Melissa was a true pleasure to work with. She was very honest and upfront about the value of the items I was selling and made me aware of what prices were fair and agreeable. I would definitely recommend selling your items with Worthy

It was super easy and the staff is really attentive along the way! I was told the resale value for my ring would be 10-15% of the original price, I received much more through Worthy!

I can’t believe how easy and transparent this entire process was! It felt too good to be true. I ended up increasing my profit by 35% compared to what a private jeweler was offering. Even if I had met the jeweler’s same offer with Worthy, I enjoyed the auction experience and friendly customer service at Worthy a million times more. It just felt so good to know that I was getting my best price.

The people at Worthy made selling my jewelry easy. I was able to ship my item overnight by Fed Ex (at no cost to me, with pick up at my home). I heard from Rachel the following day, and regularly throughout the process of getting the ring ready for auction. I was able to watch the auction online, and there was someone available to answer my questions by phone. Thank you Worthy for your help! I'll definitely recommend you to my friends and family!

The whole experience of selling my wedding ring on Worthy was really good except...the morning after I put my ring on auction I woke to not being able to log on to the website. I called the number only to have it hang up on me 2x and when I texted/emailed the person I have been working with asking why I couldn't log on or see my ring any longer, I received no response. I went into panic mode, which I rarely do, and changed my banking info immediately because I thought I had been scammed. Eventually, I was able to log on and see my ring, but there was obviously a glitch. From the start I received fantastic communication from Parker, and then a different agent started texting me and the communication wasn't as good with Kendall, so I suppose it was the difference in agents.

I had thoroughly researched the best places/auction houses to sell my jewelry. I was very hesitant as I had gotten very different quotes from different sources. I found Worthy on the internet and then checked them at the BBB and read all the personal reviews as well as press about the company. ALL the excellent reviews were spot on. My experience with Worthy was exceptional. It went smoothly and relatively quickly. They authenticated all the pieces and had excellent judgement as to what would go to auction, what would be bundled, what would be a "quick sale." They answered all my questions with patience. Their expertise is unparalleled. Shout out especially to Melissa. A very easy person to work with. All my skepticism went right out the window and I had a very happy outcome. MELISSA, you are a rock star! Thank you so very much! If you pardon the pun, Melissa is WORTHY of all the praise. Thank you again.

I'll admit, I was sceptical but, when you are aligned with a pro like Gail Bonaparte, the experience can only be positive!! My vintage ring was seen by many buyers and, while it came up a tiny bit short of my threshold, it was close enough after Gail reached out to the buyer.
My beautiful ring has a new home and, I have some fun money in my bank account! Thank you Gail!

Vik from Worthy made the process very easy and walked me through every step of the way and answered any questions I had. I checked around NYC for reputable diamond dealers in reference to selling my diamond in the marketplace. Worthy exceeded my expectations in selling my ring for profit in todays market value. I highly recommend them for selling your ring or any jewelry you may have.

I was in NY so shopped my diamond around to various dealers. Vik made the process seamless and helped at every step along the way. In the end, he personally helped to make sure I got a higher offer than anywhere else. I strongly recommend working with Worthy and Vik in particular.

it was a good service. I am not sure if I got the best price possible, but it was certainly an easy process

This was a great experience for me. I was a little worried to have the ring out of my sight- what if it just disappears or they say it’s not a real diamond or something shady happens and I lose the ring and any money I could get for it? But every step of the way worthy kept me up to speed with where the ring physically was, where it was in the cleaning, photographing, grading process and when it was ready for me to set and start my auction. I felt reassured constantly that the ring was secure, they wanted me to get the most money I could for the ring and that I would actually get the money and I did! It was an easy process and hopefully I’ll never have an engagement ring to sell again but I highly recommend Worthy to others.

I can see others have liked this service and maybe it's because they're just surprised they got anything for their jewelry. But this is a similar service to "I have to sell my used car quick for cash" or going to your local Pawn broker...well, it may be a step above that I guess. But don't think for a minute just because they have hundreds of buyers as they'll tell you, that that means you're going to get top dollar. you won't. You won't likely even get what your diamond/jewelry is worth for scrap. Oh they'll rush to get your item, and then give you an "appraisal" (mine was ridiculously low=I know the scrap value of the diamonds...they did not even meet that) and then let the auction run and hey maybe you have an amazing one of a kind piece that will sell high...but even then I'd bet you'd do better on Ebay with good pictures and a great sales/writeup. (as I have) Also don't expect a quick return if you want it back after their auction. Diamond Buyers International is a much better/similar service. No slick sales team experience like I had with Worthy. Or well, some of the team I spoke with were more informed than others but none gave the explanation of what their service actually is in the way that I learned online and from the Rep I dealt with at Diamond Buyers International. Good luck though!
