Good service but engineers arrived without having survey carried out prior to installation. Once surveyor had advised them of route the workmen were excellent and completed the work quickly.
There is a very weak or no signal in some rooms which is disappointing but a good signal in other rooms.

An Isle of Wight company that delivers. We had some issues at the beginning with the contract terms but Wightfibre made sure we were happy.
I will recommend them to our clients who are based on the island.
This review doesn't reflect the quality of the broadband, it's mostly based on customer service.
I will probably edit it in the future.

The staff I have spoken to are always keen to help and make sure things are working correctly. The team who fitted the equipment were also extremely helpful and professional, polite and they explained everything very well.

the company is commissioned to lay broadband cables in every street on the Isle of Wight, causing the utmost disruption as they do this. They reached our road in the first week of September and began drilling. They did all necessary work at the top of the road and then came down to our home - and promptly cut through the electricity cable. We were without power for 8 hours. Southern Electric was called to fix the 'fault' and informed us (daughter and myself) that 'they' (Wightfibre) were doing this all the time and we were the second outage that day. Southern Electric said they were loaded with work because of cutting people off. The workmen did not appear to know where the electricity cables were and it is extremely telling that the next morning someone armed with white spray paint went the length of the road marking the cables... we wondered why this had not been done before work started, but that does seem rather too logical for this company. Island Roads have been commissioned to resurface every road on the island - but do these two companies speak to one another? Of course not. New laid roads are being dug up to accommodate the trench for the broadband cable. Reviews elsewhere about this company (Trustpilot) show a mixture of good and outright condemnation - and I have to say we are less than impressed with the quality of the work, the amount of plastic covers we are walking over, the dirt and mud on the road when you can see the broom on the lorry... If this is deemed a necessary thing for this island, then so be it but competent workmen and an effort at cleaning up would be much appreciated. It doesn't look as if it's going to happen. I am not at all impressed with Wightfibre, with the customer relations side and the workmen. I had no intention of subscribing to Wightfibre long before this happened, they have just reinforced my intention to stay with my current provider. The glowing reviews I have read elsewhere may well change in time.

Excellent product from WightFibre. Although I had to wait for tools and equipment to be available before we could get connected, customer service were great at keeping me informed throughout so I felt confident in the progress.
Installation was quick and easy and the broadband service is flawless and fast!

3 weeks later still no WiFi waiting for them to dig up the road, dongle they gave me is useless. I'm fed up and it's nearly time for my son to be back at school which means I'll need the net to see homework and such

This company sent me somebody else’s bill and details of how to set up “my” online account. I had to respond more than once to alert them of the mistake. Now I’m being asked to rate them as a customer. I just hope I get the £10 Amazon voucher they’re promising.

After being treated like the proverbial muck on the shoe by BT and a service to match, I opted for WightFibre's 152mbs connection and boy I'm glad I did.
The installation engineers were courteous and professional, had the hardware installed and I was up and running in around 30 minutes. Jason Cantelo of the admin team was on-hand to answer all my questions and did so quickly.
Thankfully, WightFibre have their own cable network so none of my money goes to BT. I cannot recommend WightFibre enough if you live on the Isle of Wight.

A very nice chap on the phone answered all my questions about swapping over to wight fibre.I was booked in very quickly, and the installation took less than an hour. The guys who installed it were lovely, and very helpful. AND i no longer need to pay for a landline

Okay first point is that I have only been on Wightfibre for a couple of weeks so I am rating my experience thus far.
I have just moved to the IoW but before doing so I did some investigation with regard to best internet providers. This is a particular issue for me as I am a writer and journalist who works from home. Added to this is the fact that both my adult son and I like playing online games and we were also looking forward to being able to stream content.
Furthermore, until recently we were living in a country that has really terrible internet speeds across the broad, regardless of the technology deployed.
First contact with Wightfibre was very pleasant, effective and human. They immediately sent me the form to be completed by my landlord giving them permission to make the installation. As soon as they received the form, they called to arrange the installation.
The team arrived on time and the team leader Graham was great. Not only chatty and friendly but also very informative as well as being very passionate about Wightfibre and the level of service it delivers. The installation was completed with minimal fuss, fully tested, and explained.
We had opted for the 152mbps service and my own online speed tests showed that speeds to from Newport to Cowes were around the +140mbps mark and to a London server were in the 35mbps to +60mbps range depending on time of day and end server.
Web surfing is great and when connecting through a fast server chain is like the internet is supposed to be. We also opted for Netflix and we have no delays, no buffering needed, just click and view.
So thus far I am delighted with Wightfibre and I have no hesitation in recommending them.

Very good speed, would give 5 start but noticed few things compared with BT:
- some devices would drop WiFi for few seconds (Playstation) - normally hard to notice but visible when playing online
- network extenders which use electrical cables somehow perform 2-3 times slower while connected to WightFibre router compared to BT routers.
