Brought direct from Weenect in France (via UK website). Included an offer for 20% off for the device. Ordering was easy, information good, set up on website straightforward. Only gripe was the website suggests will be delivered in 2 days. Mine arrived 10 days after order. Many reviews - on Amazon- bemoan the "hidden" cost of the monthly subscription. This aspect is quite clear - I presume those people didn't bother to read the information. A 2 year subscription costs 85 Euro (3.50 Euro per month). Let's see how it works...

Fabulous device when it works BUT absolutely but cannot be relied on so useless. I have 3 Weenect Dog devices. 1 purchased late 2018, and 2 in Spring 2019. All 3 of them have had to be replaced as they just stopped working - no explanation given. I was just sent a return postage form and a replacement delivered. 2 of these are still working ok. The third replacement was non functional straight out of the envelope. It was also sent without the proper packaging unlike previous replacements. When I complained about this I was sent a standard response asking me to post it back at my expense. I objected to this and asked for the situation to be escalated over a week ago and have heard nothing since. These devices and subscriptions are not cheap and I have had one of them not working, under investigation or awaiting a replacement for most of the time since I purchased them. Something is seriously awry here.

When I first tried this product back in February, it seemed quite good, but after a while I realised that it has a massive design flaw. When the tracker stops moving for more than a few minutes, it is supposed to power down its GPS to save the battery. That would be fine, but what actually happens is that it shuts down completely!! In this state, it cannot be contacted at all, even if there is a strong mobile signal present. If the tracker moves again, it will sometimes wake-up, but often not. Often you have to switch it off and on again before it will re-connect.
Imagine if your cat has been hit by a car and is lying injured and immobile by the side of the road. The tracker will shut down and you cannot contact it to obtain the location. Meanwhile, your cat is dying.
Weenect eventually supplied a replacement but that is just the same. The customer support is terrible, staffed by useless numpties who just send pro-forma replies. They refuse to acknowledge that there is a problem, let alone do anything about it.
The Weenect tracker is defective by design, and not fit for purpose.
You can see from their reply that they still don't get it! The whole thing shuts down in static mode, not just the GPS, and it is NOT possible to connect to it. It just stays completely dead and unresponsive until it moves.

The last version of Cats2 is a waste of time and money. Trackers stop working in a few days, doesn't reconnect to their servers. Got 2 replacements (sending back at my expenses to France), similar problem.
After 4 months (remember this is a subscription product) having emails like "turn them on outside" now I read that where I live theres' no 2G coverage (in fact now there's even 5G).
Or things like "The issue you encountered was due to the decrease of the network. Effectively, it fluctuated between 2 and 14 in a scale of 0 to 30."
So, everyday is a different problem.

The order process was very simple and clear. Delivery was door-to-door, even on Sunday, which is good. The only difference - I was expecting to get it in 3-5 business days, actually it took me about 10 business days to arrive in Siberia, Russia.

Decided to change my previous review due to the complete lack of customer service. The device doesn’t work and despite them claiming when I agreed to the trial that they would offer support along the way there has been not a word of response to any emails. Item has been returned to amazon for a full refund.

Our cat had been missing 3 months we got him back so ordered Weenect. It never worked. I have wasted weeks on email, had to pay for the return of the product and asked for a refund. They sent out a new tracker when I didn’t want one and now want me to post that back too (which I will not unless they pay me for my time and the postage).
To make matters worse our cat has gone off wandering again but we have no way to locate him due to all the issues and the time taken to resolve them.
We are looking at other brands. Don’t waste your time.

The Weenect silver device appears to be everything that was promised. Just a couple of points: the pendant is on the large side to be worn around the neck and the lights that flash constantly are very noticeable in a dark room so I will in future be using the pouch provided. Also a note on the delivery; the device comes from France initially with local carrier tracking until it was handed over to the UK parcel company. In my case, this was DPD but their tracking number was a mystery until I received an "Unable to deliver" card and was then able to check the re-delivery time the next day.

This tracker doesn't work. For several days satellite coverage has been spotty and as of 2 days ago no coverage and the tracker does not connect. There is no customer service and no telephone to call. Do not purchase this device.

Please don't waste your money buying this tracker as you will experience a lot of problems because it doesn't work well. I bought one in January and it worked well for about 3 weeks but then the company had problems with their server and it was down for weeks. After that the tracker stopped working altogether so I returned it under the warranty. The replacement did not work at all and they sent me another but that also didn't work. I was asked to return it which I did and now I have received another which is also faulty. If you do decide to try one don't take 1 or 2 year plan, just pay for 1 month so then you only loose the price of the tracker + 1 months fee.

Hi, it's a bit premature to write a review about the general functioning of the GPS as I've only just subscribed/ set up.
What I think people need to know up front is that the Geofences can only be a simple radius around a point - you can't 'plot' a Geofenced route. This is what I thought it would do so I could Geofence my daughter's walking route to school, and receive an alert if she went off track. This is not Possible with the Weenect Kids product/ App.
Also, I'm anxious about Customer Service already. I submitted this query via their web form and after submitting, the page goes blank - no acknowledgement! Was it received? Who knows!
And, as others have said, the instructions are dotted around the website and you have to check if they are instructions for the appropriate product (Kids/ Cats2 / Dogs2 etc.)

I LOVE IT!!! I have the reassurance that I need to know where my daughter is and that she can keep in touch with me. However I hate that there is no tutorial or instructions on how to use the tracker - I didn't find it intuitive. It literally took me 6 hours to set up and the alerts did not work until the following day so I had a million notifications and emails. Now that I have finally set it up though - I love it!!! Really looking forward to giving my daughter some more independence but not feeling neurotic!

I was really happy with the tracker and it was working well but since it has stopped, I am not hearing back regarding my emails and it's pretty worrying not knowing why my tracker is not working. I'm really disappointed. All I need is a response from them telling me what to do. They are just ignoring me.

Whilst this is a fantastic tracker, the app and website are terrible. My phone has died and I'm unable to get the app to work on my second phone, and I'm unable to log in on the website (I get a repeated 'undefined' message in the e-mail address box). Absolutely useless if I am unable to use the app!!! A real shame as the tracker is fabulous, but it appears to be unusable now!!

Weenect tracker died in less than 2 weeks of use. Emailed every day for 8 days about the issue & requested return details. I am being completely ignored. No response. Paid £79.99 for the tracker via Paypal and £80 cellular 2yr subscription fee where Paypal was not a payment option. As it stands I'm out roughly £160 and have initiated a claim for £79.99 via the Paypal dispute scheme. No UK support or service center available. It will cost a further £12.50 to return it should that option become available. Never again. A terrible experience. Would have given 0 or Minus stars if it were possible.
As promised in the response from Weenect the postage label is received and the faulty Tracker was shipped/returned this morning (Fri 22/03/19).
Hopefully, if all goes well, I'll have a working Tracker soon.
Received a replacement Tracker on 1st April. Advised to Transfer it to My Weenect rather than Register it. This was not possible due to a 404 Page Not Found Error on the Weenect website. In addition the 3 very powerful magnets had become detached from the charging cradle. Secured the Tracker to the charging cradle using a rubber band. Charged OK. Looking Good. Advised Weenect of the error and the magnets.
Received an eMail (48hrs) advising that Weenect had Transferred the Tracker from their end. Asked me to video the Tracker charging with its battery problem ? ? What battery problem.
I suspect the customer service is a computer as a battery problem occurred with the first tracker not the replacement.
IN SUMMARY: The Tracker when working is excellent. Its the best & most accurate I've seen to date. Works well in the dense Norfolk woodlands at all times. Its also one of the smallest & lightest units available. Battery life is decent requiring every 3rd 2hr walk. So 6hrs with 22hr rest periods every day. This is better than some but not as good as some but the small size & 1oz weight makes this a worthwhile tradeoff.
The App is superb and has numerous features that others would be well advised to implement.
The after sales service is awful in the UK. If they want to successfully sell this in the UK market they should have a UK service center staffed with English speaking (&reading) people with a UK telephone no. An additional option should be available to use English measurements ie mph, miles etc. The French metric system is meaningless in the UK.

Very poor customer service, received a faulty unit and they are refusing to replace the unit or return the paid yearly subscription upfront, be very wary purchasing from this overseas company. I have strong gprs connection but the unit will still not work, customer service have offered no helpful support and are not responding to any request to replace the unit
