They are withholding funds that have already cleared from my 401k. The Service Rep (very snobby) said it is perfectly legal for them to hold funds without any reason. USAA has gone down the drain. You should look at the ratings you are getting and probably invest in better personnel. You can find me by name, and I can assure you as soon as these funds are available I will withdrawal EVERYTHING and move to a local bank. Direct Deposit from Retirement, Payroll, Everything! You are not the company you were before. I hope you go bankrupt. You are not helping veterans and servicemembers. You are a crooked bank with zero respect policies.

USAA has the worst horrible customer service ever, was told twice they removed a fraud alert which no one did and they told me to put the alert on my acct and now this person on the phone customer service says don't do that next time as if he's scolding me for doing it when they told me to because Walmart mistakenly charged my card. I hate this company I am going to check out NFCU today

Usaa is trash. Customer service is terrible. So I live pay check to pay check and I get paid by a check and since usaa has no actual banks I have to do mobile deposit but since I don’t have the exact amount that I am getting paid in my account they put half my check on hold....so now I am late every month on half my bills. Customer rep says that I will “eventually” not receive a hold on my fund but it’s been 6 months and I still get a hold on half my check. Opening a new checking account with someone else.

Do not get a mortgage though USAA. They will over charge you and rip you off ever chance they get. We were told our mortgage would be $1,220 a month and it's been $1,490. That's a huge difference. We've been told " oh we're gonna get this figured out" since JUNE!!! ITS NOW SEPTEMBER AND THE BILL IS THE SAME!" Be a veteran and they will scan you. Way to go USAA!! Crooks.

I have been with USAA for 42 years and never had an issue until i rear ended a car in 2015. I went in for chiropractic treatment. After only a few weeks, the company they subcontract with for personal
injury stopped payment because it was "unnecessary". Problem was i racked up a bill of $3300. My lawyer has been trying since then to get them to pay anything. They even refuse to go to arbitration which by law they are required. I am 65 years old and work two jobs and now I have this $3300 bill that will take me over 2 years to pay off. My last claim for auto was in 2007. And they can't pay this off?
DO NOT go with USAA auto if you think you will ever be in an accident! They don't pay. Serve the military... my foot. I even sent a letter to the CEO and got a notice that they played $237 towards my bill. Whoopee! Stay away from USAA auto i insurance...

I have been with them for over 20 years and I am done. Terrible customer service. Weird changes to deposits- holding your deposits for 7 days - and you can't access your funds. When did this start? And their customer service is a call center with people reading scripts. You cannot get help. They went from a 10 to a 2.

I would give 0 or negative stars....worst customer service ever, one hand doesn’t talk to another, no one who works here has any idea what’s going on with anything and they just transfer you around....I’m about to pull 500k out of usaa due to their poor service, I’ve been on hold for 30 minutes waiting to talk to a supervisor...

USAA no longer cares about its customers...it only cares about getting their customers money. Sadly, this is not the company I joined 50 years ago. The old company put its customers first; the new company puts profit first.

I called with a few basic questions on an open property claim and the rep I spoke with, Kody Slayton was extremely rude. When I tried to ask my next question, he cut me off and hung up on me. Knowing full well that when I call the 1-800-245-4389 number that I likely would not be able to reach him again, I'm sure this rep treats customers like this all the time. As a service member myself, I am incredibly disappointed in the rudeness of USAA's representative in their property claims department.

I have been a member of USAA for 20 years. They started out great, but now they are just like any other big bank and insurance company. After 20 years I have decided to cancel all my accounts with them. They do not provide the 5 star service they claim anymore.

I am surprised by all the negative reviews about USAA. I have had them for almost 20 years. I am still serving Active Duty and always have had positive responses with them. I started off using Auto insurance with them. They were always competitive and easy to work with. In my lifetime of claims, I have never had an issue and they responded quickly with any claims. Once i moved back to the US after 10 years overseas, i started to use their banking services with checking and savings. Never had an issue and love getting reimbursement with foreign atm charges. Do wish they had more physical locations but now that they have mobile deposit made missing a physical location not an issue. Recently bought a house and was going to use them, however several coworkers that I used to work with recommended Veterans United since that company became more popular.

USAA is horrible if you're overseas. You try to call their international number and get told it doesn't work. You log in online and get told to change your password. It's horrible. Horrible. Horrible.

A USAA member hit my standing still vehicle in a parking lot. He backed into me and dented the side of my truck. He admitted fault to me and did not want me to call the law which I stupidly agreed. Got his insurance information and called USAA to take care of damage. Now he tells his insurance company that we were backing at the same time. I was not even in the vehicle..... they found me half at fault and paid only half of 1315.00 in damages. How stupid can an investigator be? Anyway still trying to find lying piece of crap that hit me.

USAA is nothing but a criminal Enterprise. Our house flooded in 2014. We had great insurance so we thought after 43 years of being a member. We still haven't been paid fully for our damage and our home is still unfinished. USAA refused to send and adjuster to our home in Missouri because it wasn't far out they stated. These criminals stole our things, broke our things and damaged what was left. We are still fighting with them and they read from a script and refuse to pay even though our policy was the best so we were informed.. Hahaha, they don't pay out and cheat you and give you the run around. We are filing a lawsuit against them and we'd like all of you who have had issues with them to contact us. Tim and Tracy Bell 817-929-5203. Leave a message and we will call you back. They have been sued many time and this time we are taking it national to expose these criminals for what they are. Contact us and tell us your story if you are tired of being ripped off. Thank you!

USAA tries 2 hold you to an "unwritten" policy to take more money from you. This activity isn't lawful. They had different agents tell different stories on different calls into their office. DO NOT believe ANY insurance company when they tell you "once your child receives a driver license its required to pay car insurance for them". The law requires a person 2 hv insurance if they drive on a regular basis, rent a car or own a car. USAA has also stated if your child drives your car, insurance won't cover the accident if they aren't under your insurance & your child can be sued for damages. This is also a lie. Insurance follows the car not the driver. My niece drove my car & got in an accident & had USAA coverage under her parents. USAA told my niece she couldn't file a claim under her USAA policy & told her to put me on the phone. USAA stated insurance follows the car not the driver & that USAA will annotate my account that I wasn't driving BUT there's no guarantee MY insurance premium won't go up upon review. So if that's true, why is it an unwritten policy to put your kids on your insurance upon them receiving a driver's license when they still ride the school bus to school? 3rd scenario: My daughter's father stated he wanted to buy her a car & pay insurance under his USAA policy. USAA stated if the vehicle will be parked more than 120 days at one residence, they assume that person owns the car & must buy it from the owner & get their own insurance & if they're a minor, the adult in the home must buy it & add it to their insurance. I asked USAA, then why don't adult kids away at college with a car parked over 120 days have to do it? Insurance companies allow adult kids to stay under their parents policy when the car isn't parked at our residence, so what's the difference of a father paying the bill? USAA then got mad because I knew the law & without providing any signed contract stating their "verbal" unwritten policy, asked a supervisor to terminate my policy with them & never told me they were requesting termination. I found out 3 weeks later when calling on another subject matter. After being with USAA 21 years, this is not how you treat loyal long standing honest customers. It seems USAA is more concerned about getting every penny out of a veteran than actually taking care of the veterans and their family members.

I just want to leave a review for the USAA representative who helped with my claim today. My representative’s name was Tron, and she was very polite, professional, and helpful. Before speaking with her, a different representative was very rude, so I greatly appreciate her kindness and professionalism while helping me file a claim.

As a 35 year member of USAA, I would give them NEGATIVE stars, if I could! They were started as a company BY military officers to serve ONLY military officers. Their greed has opened the doors to anyone who can spell "military", which has increased their overall risk and forced them to now spend millions of dollars on television ads to try and recruit more people who can spell "military"! They have lost sight of serving the people who have been loyal to them for decades and only choose to put people on tv who are newcomers, because they can convince them to say "We're USAA Members for Life". If they were to ask a decades-long member to express their thoughts on USAA, they would get a much different answer. You might ask why someone would choose to stay with a company who treats them so poorly? When you've been with a firm for 35 years and have auto, home, boat, umbrella and flood insurance, as well as investments, annuities and auto loans, it is hard to untangle yourself without subjecting yourself to a lot of anguish and time consuming paperwork. Our first homeowners claim in 35 years was an absolute nightmare, not to mention our experience with our second claim for a roof leak. I've been working on a simple loan to refinance our RV and have spent hours on the phone and submitted hundreds of pages of tax returns, investment statements, etc and they are still not satisfied. I tried to reduce the insurance on a car that is in storage while we're on a 6-month RV trip and after an HOUR on the phone, the representative told me it couldn't be done because of a Florida Law???? In my humble opinion, they have become nothing more than another huge corporation, who's greed has caused them to lose focus of their core values. It's a sad day that I have to write this, but I hope it will help some young military family before they experience the frustration and aggravation that I've gone through over the last 18-24 months.

This company has gone downhill so fast it's unbelievable. Been with them over 40 years. They no longer care about the people they are supposed to be providing coverage. Customer service is not helpful. Claims personnel don't even want to talk with you.
Don't even think about signing up with USAA. Their premiums are higher than most. But you could count on their service. No more. Might as well find a company with lower premiums. Even their worst service will be as good as what I've experienced with USAA.
