I bought three handbags and two are great but one must have been owned by a smoker and reeks of smoke. I never thought of this as a potential problem in buying secondhand clothes online. I bought two dresses -- one is very nice but the other has what looks like ink or grease streaks on it.

They steal from you twice - first with their unfair and absurd consignment payout amounts, and again when they list the high-end items they simply *couldn’t* accept from your bag so they can take the profit 100%. The first couple times I thought it was just coincidence, but this last time the theft was undeniable. After trusting these thieves for too long, I sent in what is now going to be my final bag several months ago. Contained a Ralph Lauren dress, Calvin Klein suits, Steve Madden pumps and a Michael Kors purse. A number of other high-street, new with tags or barely worn and from brands and in styles they said they were LOOKING FOR on their site. ALL disappeared from my bag when it was processed, presumably rejected. Lower end items? Oh You bet they allowed me to get credit for them! A whopping 0.30-1.00 per item based on double digit prices. As for the high end and designer items-not a single one was “accepted” Yet I stumbled across MY Ralph Lauren dress just a week later. Looked around to see if there was anything else and yep, sure enough - there they all were, listed at a premium. I KNOW they were mine for various reasons.
It’s fraud. And theft. Pure and simple. I refuse to use that piddly credit to even buy anything now-I prefer not to purchase stolen goods. I believe there are some lawsuits and investigations going on across the country. My recommendation is that, while those are playing out, you give to a local charity or sell via other routes. Especially higher end business attire. Donate them to local charities that provide interview and professional clothing to women in need. Purchase from local secondhand shops as well. They usually benefit a cause in your community, instead of line the pockets of the executives of a scamming, quickly deteriorating site.

I would have felt a whole lot better if I had donated them as well cause I only made $. 50 from the app and is said to only be getting $31 after Sending in 17 items I had no idea they would take most of the money they had placed on the items after sales. It's such a waste of time, I wish there was an option for no star. KMT, judgment day is coming for all you scammers out there rubbish. My evidence is attached so y'all can see they price them for a lot and send u pennies. This is bulls***.

I've enjoyed Thredup but my last order (yep, I'm done) they put the wrong size (med) on the item in the post. I ordered based on that size and when it came the tag on the item clearly states it was a small. I returned the item and stated that I should not be responsible for the shipping fee since it was their mistake. Nope - they returned it and charged me to return shipping it to them. This is the level of detail that distinguishes a really solid customer oriented company with just a run of the mill. The devil is in the details and unfortunately they got it wrong.

ThredUP is selling YOUR DONATIONS on eBay!
I sent clothes to sell via ThredUP and it took them 4 months to get them posted for sale. The prices they listed were very low which is as expected but then the split back to me only a few dollars, ok fine. BUT HERE IS THE THING NO ONE TALKS ABOUT - my donations ARE BEING SOLD VIA EBAY BY ThredUP AND FOR MORE $ than what is listed on ThredUP!

I have looked at lularoe leggings at other sites as well as with a representative for the company ..... but was out of my budget range, I was thrilled that thread up had a wide variety at a wonderful price. I ordered 7 pair , loved them all and the shipping was fast . Will def shop here again for other items I want.

I have found the fabled "opposite world" at Thredup. I sent a bag of items for resell. They acceped a leather bag with obvious wear and described it as "like new", and rejected barely used items (including a pair of Balenciaga sunglasses) as "having excessive wear".
Because I didn't pay for them to return rejected items, I "lost" a few valuable items.
I seriously question their processors' ability to judge items

The worst customer service ever!!! I have never been so disappointed in a company! Purchase made 1st of November returned item right away and still waiting for refund. They say it has been processed over 10 days ago and still have not received. Reached back out by email and still waiting for a response.

I got tricked. The description was mild wear and tear. GARBAGE! I would never, never get caught deal with these Lilly Pulitzer accessories. It was my first time purchasing and I spent almost $500 dollars. NEVER AGAIN. I should have known since they don't have a customer service center, they don't care whether you are happy or not.

I returned my entire box to Thred up on the final day given by the Company on 10/16/2020. On Sunday 10/25/2020 they charged me the full price of my box $256.90. I used their label! I have been e-mailing since Monday morning 10/26/2020 with no response! Nothing has been posted to my account! BUYER BEWARE! I went on Facebook and saw were another individual returned their products in JUNE and still has no resolution! This is a unacceptable way to do business!

If I could give them a negative star I would. The ways they are HORRIBLE is long. Let’s see- As Seller 1) I paid to have rejected items returned. And they sent FOUR bags to my old address on the other side of the country. After I gave them my new address-then CHARGED me $10.99 a bag and refused to credit back my account until they sold other items they did keep. So basically I’ll get refunded after they made back the money from selling my items-that they had to spend to ship my items to the wrong address, so they aren’t out a penny. 2)- They underpriced several new with tags couture items below that of a used Target Dress. They sold them immediately because of the stupid low price. I alerted them prior to the items going live to please change the listing or set the app to price them the same as other similar items on their site and I was ignored multiple times. 3) The WORST customer service. Impossible to get a hold -of the chats don’t work or drop you, no phone contact only email and when you do it’s a form letter half the time or just ignored. As a Buyer- I ordered a Designer wallet that had a big sticky stain like food on the front that they said was a minor stain and it was non returnable. So now I have a dirty sticky $45 wallet I can’t use. Also dress labeled an XL was really midsized and sent it back- and they relisted it without changing the size on their site. Also I ordered a designer skirt that had wrong posted measurements and stunk. I did return it. They are just garbage but mainly ripping off sellers big time. I got .27 cents for a Silk Rebecca Taylor Dress with tags! The app wouldn’t let me raise the price. I begged to change it to a higher price. They sold it for $5.99 anyway. The Better Business Bureau has over 448 negative complaints with them. That should tell you something. Avoid this app like the plague.

I bought long sleeve shirts and 2 pairs of pants from ThreadUp and they look brand new. They arrived in great condition and I didn't have to wait long before I received my packages. I am very satisfied with this company and plan on continuing my business with them for buying clothes online.

The clothing that I purchased was in wonderful condition and when you receive your merchandise, ThredUp nicely wraps your items in their green polka dot tissue with their Logo Sticker. Nice presentation which makes you feel like you bought it at a Department Store in the good old days when they packaged your purchases at the store and made you feel like a Queen!

I recently purchased 3 pairs of workout / leggings and 3 sweaters.
The quality was great on all of them.
And they fit really well, too, thanks to accurate sizing labels online.
The only "complaint" in have is that instead of all coming in 1 package, they came in 3 separate mailings, which meant that there was more waste and postage than necessary.
Nevertheless, i look forward to returning to thredUP for some future shopping needs.

ThredUp did a great job picking out a variety of options for me to try. And the entire process was easy. To only spend $10 for my initial order and still given a great selection of items was an incredible experience. I’ve already recommended to several friends.

Absolutely fabulous - can't say enough good things! Great prices, fast shipping, the LEAST amount of packaging I have ever seen on an online purchase (THANK YOU for caring about the environment!) that was also re-usable. And the best part: giving some gently used clothing a new life outside of a landfill! I tell everyone about thredUP, can't recommend it enough :)

I'm one of those people who sometimes needs another point of view when it coming to what looks good on me, so the Goody Box from Thred Up is perfect! So far EVERYTHING that was sent in both boxes has fit me! (at least 20 items, so that's impressive all by itself!), and I've found at least 2 items in each box that I've kept. I am thinking about signing up for the every other month box because the anticipation of what is in the box and when it's going to come is exciting! Kinda like Christmas!;-)

I was really happy with my box. The pieces were fun and a little bit adventurous for me. They ticked the box of being things I wouldn't have picked on my own, but once I tried them on I liked them. Left to my own devices it's a lot of t-shirts and jeans around here, so I was glad for a push to mix it up a bit. I ended up keeping most of the items and I was pleasantly surprised that everything fit, even the pants!
