Spent 3 hours for my family to get their exams! They first refused to give an exam to my kids that were 6 and 7, which have eye problems. When threatening to go elsewhere for all 7 of us they changed their mind and agreed to see the children. Never had a problem in previous years. Then they took 2 people ahead of us. 3 hours for 6 exams!

I want to thank April for her excellent customer service. She wanted me to be completely satisfied with the glasses I selected. She explained to me and showed me the type of glasses that would be best for my needs. She was very professional, knowledgeable and very customer oriented.
I love my new glasses and want to thank Stanton Optical for hiring such wonderful people like April. It makes all the difference!!
P.S. Thanks to Liza as well

My husband and I have both spent over $1000 for glasses with Stanton. I had minimal issues but my husband has had MULTIPLE issues. It has been nearly 7 weeks and he STILL does NOT have the correct glasses. Just yesterday, he got the call that his third time ordered glasses were in. He took off work to go get them. When he picked them up he thought they were what he ordered however, once he got home he realized that one pair was NOT the color of frame he ordered. When this was brought to the attention of the store AND a customer service manager .. they told us he could bring them back and they would switch out the lens and give him the correct color of frame. THIS WOULD ULTIMATELY BE HIS 5th visit to Stanton in 7 weeks. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. He has had to take days off from work in order to go to the store and the glasses are still not correct. When asked how Stanton would be able to compensate for such mishaps ... they told us NOTHING could be done EXCEPT to come back to the store and switch out the lens. STANTON WILL NEVER GET OUR BUSINESS AGAIN.

Was told when I came in for my appointment that my insurance was out of network (I have a very common insurance btw) and that it would cost around $200 for an exam + copay's. This amount seemed like it was a rough guess by the gal I was talking to and she did not seem confident that was going to be the final cost. She also seemed in general just annoyed that I was asking how much it was all going to cost and kept saying it was 20% off. 20% off of what? That doesn't tell me anything. None of this whole interaction made sense and nothing was being explained to me well. So I told them this wasn't going to work for me since I don't just have $200 (or more who knows) to spend out of pocket so I walked out. I don't think the person helping me understands how out-of-network billing works at all or if they do they were not able to communicate it clearly. I also had to make a comment as I was leaving about how insanely bright their lights are in the store and they all gave me looks like I am some sort of crazy person. Well I am not crazy and the lights are super bright and some of the lights even look like actual flood lights. Why? Not really the ideal setting for getting eye tests done which can make you sensitive to light. This place is super weird, the employees are unprofessional and I will not be coming back.

I scheduled an eye exam online at Stanton Optical and was pleased to be able to find an opening on a Saturday. Although they were fairly busy, each staff member kept checking in on me as I picked out new frames (I was super indecisive so this took a while, but they were very patient with me). Finally, after I narrowing it down to 4 choices, Sean helped me pick my favorite 2 (buy one get one free....and I turned the second pair into sunglasses!) and helped get me a great deal! Can't wait to pick them up!!

I should of done the review before paying them in full, I got call glasses were in, took the 1 hour drive, got there only one pair was in store instead of the two,, when I tried the one pair that was there, I could not see, then they had me see another doctor, via a monitor,, who gives me a diffeent prescription than the first,,, now here we are in 2020, and I have not been able to find a person in their organization to look into my problem, they either don't answer, the person is no longer working there, or the manager is on an emergency, meanwhile, I have had to go to other optometrist who had given me a completely different prescription, and they will not give me a refund,,,, if something says it's cheap,,, RUN,,, IT IS MORE EXPENSIVE AND THE SERVICE WILL BE THE WORST

Stanton optical in Elk Grove, Had a bad experience there yesterday. For one they don’t even have a real eye doctor, It’s basically all done over a computer like Skype.I do not recommend any one going there. Also all the glasses I tried on were very cheaply made...

0/5 STARS IS MORE LIKE IT!!! DO NOT GO TO THIS OR ANY STANTON OPTICAL. Their service in the store and customer service are TERRIBLE!!!
I visited this store with my mother to get her some reading glasses as she was due for new ones. While waiting to see the doctor in the back we browsed and choose two pairs. After we were done with the doctor the only person helping customers , Israel, was busy with another customer. We waited around the area he was sitting at with the customer expecting to be assisted once he finished with the gentleman he wa as with. When he finished, he walked away to the other side of the store, sat in a chair across Adam, the brand managers desk, put his feet up and pulled out his phone. I was flabbergasted, when I realized he was not going to OFFER us any assistance, so I crossed over to the other side of the store where they both were, which is when Adam looked at me and asked, "are you done selecting glasses?" I told him we had along time ago, which is when he told Israel to help us.
Israel then stood up, walked to his work station, typed a few things into a computer and gave me a $270+ price. I asked why that much as they had a buy one get one offer and he proceeds to tell me that my moms prescription calls for very thick glasses and he was giving me a package that included a lens that would not make her glasses too thick. FYI: my mothers glasses are reading glasses, they are not THICK. I wear glasses and have a very very bad prescription, myne are "THICK" and I need a special lens so that they are not "Coke Bottle Glassess", not my mom. Israel clearly does not know what he is doing or is in the bussiness of UPSELLING and lying to customers.
He did not check that the glasses we selected were a good fit for my mom, put a machine in her face and did not even tell her what to do, only when my mother asked me what she needed to do did he tell me what to tell her. He then charged me, gave me a receipt and walked away from us, I had to ask when they would be ready, he then responded 1-2 hours.
I called the store from my car and requested to speak to the store manager and watched as the girl who answered told the manager Adam that there was a phone call. She came back on the line and told me he had stepped out of the store! I WAS IN THE CAR SITTING WATCHING HIM AT HIS DESK!!!
He has never answered back any of my phone calls, not that day nor any other day. I called customer service to request a full refund where they claim they will process escalations and no one calls me back. When I call them they tell me ADAM denies my request for refund but no one calls me to talk to me about the "RESOLUTION" of the claim. They claim to have sent Adam countless messages for him to contact me, he does not.
I requested the Regional managers information, all I got was her name, Autumn I***** . They claim they have messaged her to contact me as they can not give me her email or phone number. I messaged her through linked IN and am waiting to see if she responds.
AGAIN DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE WE DID. DO NOT GO TO THIS OR ANY STANTON OPTICAL.

Bought a couple of pairs of glasses for my wife and myself in July. Now they advertise "buy one get one" and low prices but by the time they add all the coatings, labor on lenses and other mysterious charges they end up being the same price or more expensive than others. I asked for no nonscratch coating and they insisted that this would protect the lens and when the coating began chipping off the edges 4 months later they wanted to charge me to replace the lenses. They claim that using their lens cleaner and microfiber cloths will protect the lenses so I did that from day one, no better, obviously than anything else. Overall, not sure they were any better than anyone else and they definitely don't appreciate customer loyalty. Next time I won't go back even though I did like their optometrist.

I bought 1 pair of glasses 7 months at the Tyler, Tx store a go and got a scratch on 1 lens with all the protective scatch resistant coating on them. I took them in this weekend to have that lens replaced to find out that they have to replace both lens for a fee of $404.16 under warranty. I told them that they are crazy and I can buy a brand new pair for less than 400 bucks. This is the 1st time I bought glasses at Stanton Optical and will be my last. As for the scatch that had the protective coating on them I will have to deal with the scratch until I get a new pair from a more reputable company. Do not buy from this company you will be sorry you did.

Even though Stanton optical already has plenty of bad reviews my experience with this business located in LUBBOCK TEXAS was so terrible that I feel compelled to write them another one. I wish I had read the reviews before shopping there. Everything went wrong from the sec I walked in the door. First off. The glasses cost was SO much more than advertised but that’s not my complaint. It takes 2 weeks to get your glasses from this location. They called me to tell me they were in and when I picked them up only one pair was ready bc they said that they had cut the lenses for my second pair to small and had to redo them. So....... 3 weeks later I call to see if they are in and they were. No one called me. Still not my chief complaint I go and get them and they put transitions on the wrong pair. The bifocal was to high and got in the way of my vision and bothered me when driving. Not only that but the cut on the bifocals was chipped in 3 places. I took them home and within a week one of the lenses fell out. I guess they tried to make the ones they cut to small work. I’ve been back numerous times trying to get this fixed with the company in Lubbock Texas and it’s been about seven months and They fixed nothing. I’m still not happy. Transitions are still on the wrong pair and the lenses still periodically fall out for no reason. They have horrible customer service. I’ve never been so dissatisfied with a business as I am with Stanton optical. I am tempted to stand on the sidewalk with a sign saying do not enter this business because their customer service is horrible and the glasses are going to cost 100 times what they advertise they will cost. Please. RUN FROM THIS PLACE. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM HERE. IF YOU DONT BLAME ME

From the time I walked in I was greeted, directed to the eye exam room. Filled out paperwork and went right into my exam. Professional and extremely nice! When done I was helped with my glasses. They didn't rush me while I was trying to make decisions. Would definitely go back. Anymore you just don't get service like this.

Worst people hired, no training, no money to hire quality, prices are a draw but I don't think I've ever seen or heard of anyone getting two pairs for 59$ because there are only like, a few frames at that price. No one wants those frames. First time I went, insane wait time to recieve glasses. This last time, went tuesday eye doc left early... came the next day eye doc wasnt there... angry woman at desk let me take an eye exam begrudingly because she wanted to go home (it was 6pm) then she me left in dark exam room after virtual test with remote doctor, employee clocked out. I got up and wandered into the waiting room, and called out, hello?? no one was there. A random employee asked if I needed help. I said I need special lenses, you don't manufacture them, so I just need my script and my PD numbers. She ran around not sure what she was doing, then after 20 minutes came back and gave me a script that she wrote. She was a random employee, not an eye doctor. I went home and ordered what I needed from zenni optical because that is what glasses should cost. Entered the numbers, and zenni confirmed that the numbers were not possible, that the numbers written on the script could not be manufactured as they create impossible lense correlations. Unreal. The place is a joke.

We took our daughter to get her eyes checked because she was complaining of headaches. Stanton Optical told us she had 20/40 with stigmatism and needed glasses. We bought glasses and problems with headaches continued and now she was holding her head down close to paper to see. We went to ophthalmologist to get her checked out and they told us she had perfect 20/20 vision with no stigmatism and perfectly healthy nerves. They also told us the glasses she was wearing had hardly any prescription. We totally wasted money on two pair of glasses. I heard after the fact couple of my friends had similar experiences of wrong prescriptions. Don’t waste your time or money.

Well, I finally went to get glasses, I decided to go to Stanton in Pensacola, Fl. I've never had a good experience, I'm in my sixties, worn glasses since the age of five. I put if off, for years, partially because of it, Walked in, started looking at the frames, Frannie asked, If she could help me, I warned her that it wouldn't be a good ideal, I explained the difficulty, as we sat for awhile. Try me, she said, I said fine. We went at it, then I noticed she'd disappeared. I said oh well, I proceeded to look for frames, alone or so I thought, Frannie returned with frames in her hand. I told her I thought you left like others has done in the past. She just laughed and actually found three or four frames for me, another sales person joined in the search, I've never had this happen before. I was actually enjoying this, She found a pair of glasses, and her male counterpart also found a pair I was interested in. Two pairs, I only came in for one, Then I was told that I could get both pairs with the thinning of the lens, transitioning included within my price range, not to mention, I forgot the name of my insurance provider, they took care of that too. Communication was on point, I really felt relaxed during the whole experience, As I said, wearing glasses every since I was five, now in my sixties to finally have a good experience. Wow! it's about time.
