We're a multibrand agency and changed our scheduling platform to social, to take advantage of the reports and chatbots.
However, the posting capabilities are not fit for purpose and there are four astronomically poor areas that Sprout fails to perform:
Firstly, we have 10 social accounts which frequently disconnect and we have to reconnect them to make sure things get posted. If this happens of an evening or weekend, the posts don't go ahead - Not fit for purpose.
Secondly, we were told that the scheduling of stories has to be finalised on an app. This is a misrepresentation. By finalised, Sprout Social means there is no scheduling capabilities whatsoever. We need to press send on stories at the time they need to go live. As a 9-5 business, this means we can only publish during office hours - Not fit for purpose.
Next issue is that you cannot link any products to the pages. This isn't highlighted and they say API is the reason for this. We had no issue with our previous scheduling platform on this and their API. We now have to manually use Facebook to connect products - Not fit for purpose.
Additionally, despite having a rigorous multi-layered sign off process, meaning every schedule post is checked, we have posts being published to different accounts. This causes us significant contractual issues and again is not fit for purpose.
In light of the significant failures above, the follow up with Sprout Social has been poor. They are unwilling to do anything and say that this is an API issue, which only applies to Sprout Social and not to other scheduling platforms.
We have reported this to Trading Standards and Ofcom, and have had to trigger a legal complaint to get out of a contract which fails at every corner. We haven't even used the chatbot capabilities as yet, because we are too busy trying to firefight our way through the multitude of problems Sprout Social is causing our business.

Ok tool to manage social media accounts. But I think a green logo for smm is not a good choice. It always makes me confused. Their pricing is reasonable so I would use again.

I used Sproutsocial at two different companies, and I will use it again in my own digital agency. It's a great tool for organizing, scheduling, and publishing social messages. You can follow keywords and easily see influencers, so it's useful for listening for the buzz about your company or industry. Their data visualizations are easy to understand and share, too. Love it!

Our team has several team members among marketing and customer support who are responsible for interacting on our social media channels and publishing content. Sprout makes it seamless for managing those roles and ensuring we know who is responsible for what, when and why. It's a bit expensive to add new users, but worth it for a few users.
