Two years ago ( maybe last year I can't remember) when ever the new chucky doll came out that moves around... my husband ordered it at the end of June for my birthday and it showed up on Halloween day! Last year was the Excorsist animatronic and it took a month. This year for my birthday he ordered me the nightmare harvester and it's been three weeks. I'm done with spirit. Its been time and time again and when you spend so much money you really do expect it to come in under a month. I would really like to understand why they have issues with shipping? I do most of my shopping online and occasionally have a late package but this is hundreds and hundreds of dollars of year after year late packages just from Spirit. Not once have a received anything in less then a month!! It's usually several! Is June your busy season? I mean from June until Halloween day is insanity! I even called for a refund and was denied saying " sorry but it's on the way" lmao no it's not on the way for four months! If anyone has any recommendations for a better company let me know because I spend entirely too much money on a company that doesn't care about customer service.

I ordered a spiderman costume for my son. Now he is heartbroken. I never received a confirmation email or tracking number but the funds are gone from my checking account. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!!

I ordered a wireless Multi-Prop remote control. I received it in good order and fast. I went to test it and soon found out that the batteries it came with were dead. I figured before I sent it back to Spirit for a refund or return, I would simply go buy some batteries to see if the unit would work. It did! I called customer service to explain the situation and they quickly and happily covered the cost of the replacement batteries. I appreciate the very prompt service from the Spirit Halloween representative. A very satisfied customer here!

I'm so extremely upset I ordered on a sat 10/26/19 and paid for two day shipping to guarantee it would be here before Halloween. It shipped out on Monday 10/28/19 I was suppose to get it 10/30/19 and it's now Halloween day and now my order says it will ship out tmrw! I paid an extra 20 bucks to guarantee I would receive my order like the website stated I'm so upset now we don't have Halloween costumes all because they didn't honor the one thing their website clearly stated! Never trusting this site again. Wish I would have read the reviews.

It did take a couple of months but guest services did give me a full refund for the damaged merchandise. It makes me so happy because we love shopping in the stores for holloween!

Payed for express shipping and S Halloween sent it ground with the excuse it should have still made it in 2-4 day express timeframe. Well it came one day after Halloween. They could care less when I called that I payed extra for more rapid shipping and they sent it ground, just pocketed the money and left me a chump. Horrible to have a sad kid Halloween day because the people operate with greed and could care less about the customer. DO NOT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM SPIRIT HALLOWEEN.

Worse service ever. If you order from Canada there is no way to track your package even though you get emails saying to "click on the links below" which are non existent-IE there were no links. I was diverted to live chat which was never on or does not work in Canada. So I phoned where the wait was so long they said they would call back but never did. Halloween is in two days-I paid a rush order and no costume for my young son even though it was suppose to be here yesterday. DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY. I ordered other costumes from Halloweencostumes.ca which arrived early and easy to track online without help.

I arrived at approximately 11:30am in October 21st, 2019 at the store located at 1735 w Flordia at in hemet ca.
The store was nasty and the lady who was sweeping up the filth was USO's discussingly nasty dusty mop.
Looking at all of the trash and dust on the store floor it appeared that it wasn't cleaned for a month!

Total scam sales I bought wolf ears for my daughter which they guaranteed would fit they fell off right away I returned 2 days later only to hear no refund.

I purchased the ER Surgeon costume in sm/med size. When I got home and tried it on, I found that the top was sm/med, but the pants were lg/xlg. I tried calling corporate, was on hold for 30 minutes, then a recording that they would call me back. I did receive a call, at 2:36 AM! As if I was awake for that call!
I truly tried to reach out to see if they would try to make this right for me, to no avail. Very disappointed in this company!
If by chance they reach out to me to make this right, I will update this review. Otherwise, be extremely vigilant when buying from Spirit.

I was out shopping on the 29th (today) with my dad for a killer clown costume, I got it, for 75$ we later fount out there was a much better quality cheaper costume in hot topic, we went back asked a return and the people flat out were like *chewing gum pops looking at phone* no sorry so then we looked on the website only exchanges after the 18th this is ridiculous returns should be offered at all times not for part of the month

I got a pig mask for my son. When I got it from delievery which took very long.
I experienced the mask beying really cheap so i decided to go to the store and get my money back. They said thre not giving money back but you can get another cheap product from thir store wth the same value.

Horrible customer service and predatory return policy. Employees are rude, especially on social media ; merchandise is expensive especially for cheap quality. They use predatory return policy to trap and screw customers , similar to a credit card company. The sad part is they screw the parents who want to make a good Halloween day for their kids , so really they don't care about the kids since their return policies screw over families. I got screw big time and so did my son . He can't get the costume he wants in the end, since I can't return unopened accessories that cause more than the actual costume. I went in to the store as the exact predatory profiled customer, too tired to think and only cared about the happiness of my son. Didn't see the small black sign that I was supposed to read to know that the return policy is now exchanged only. There were no other signs anywhere in the store . They obviously want to catch anyone in the trap who didn't know. Like me. And I shopped there all the time, but usually wayy before the deadline. Sad that they had any deadline before halloween is here.

I would strongly recommend not buying from this store. They are overpriced and have an unreasonable return policy. They will not accept returns after 10/18, but are more than willing to sell outdated items and returns from previous years. I would recommend Amazon for all of your Halloween needs.

Online ordering is absolutely horrible! Good luck trying to get ahold of anyone to help you as well. I called to change one thing RIGHT after I made my order and then get an email addressing me as some random person and said my order was cancel which I never did that and then of course I couldn't get ahold of anyone (I've been trying for a WEEK) so I said whatever I don't care about it anymore but then I got an email saying my order was shipped!! No refund In the account. Also no package arrived. again I can't get ahold of them. Their customer support is a JOKE and it will randomly hang up on you saying "number has been recorded you will receive a call back" and you NEVER GET A CALL BACK. Do not order from this company

Horrible customer service. If I can give this store a zero star rating I would. I ordered three items offline and was guaranteed a delivery date. When I looked a few days later the delivery date was 6 days later than what they said it would be. When I called customer service, I was hung up on after a 25 minute hold. Live Chat doesn't work. When I was able to call them and reach someone they told me that I needed to have FedEx cancel and send back the order. When I called FedEx to have the ordered cancelled and sent back to Spirt, they told me they can't do that as its a "smart order". A smart order is an order that is sent from SpiritHalloween to FedEx. FedEx then will hold onto the order for about 4 days (till they get all of their smart orders in for the week), then send it to the US postal office. Once it is their it can take up to 10 days for them to send the order out to you.
If the orders are not returned and post marked by 10/18/2019 you will not get a refund. How are you supposed to get a refund when you are not able to reach anyone?
Horrible customer service... Never order online with this company!!!!!

My mom bought a costume for my son the 30th in the afternoon , but did not buy the one he wanted. Went back the 31st in the morning and they would only exchange it for something else. The did not have the costume my son wanted so I did not wanted an exchange. I am keeping a costume as a reminder not to buy from them in the futures. These pop up kiosks are not to be trusted. I will use party city and amazon not these fishy stores that pop up in Halloween just to make profit and con customers

I wish there was a way I can give 0 star. Never again will I go or buy anything from Spirit Halloween stores. Poor customer service. I asked if they could grant the coupon I found recently for 20% for the costume I bought in 10/24. Lady flat out said no. I couldnt even return it or switch it so I can use the coupon. Completely rude! I will not recommend this place to any of my family & friends.

I ordered a dorothy costume online as well as some silver face makeup for my childs tin man costume this year. Would you know my surprise when he opens the package I think is going to contain makeup and he pulls out a bunny rabbit vibrator/dildo. He then proceeds to ask me why his makeup bottle is in the shape of a $#*! and why are there two of them. This was mortifying as I had a family friend over at the time and they were alarmed as well. I had to pull up my order confirmation just to make sure I didn't make a mistake somewhere on the site but I didn't there was my silver makeup in the confirmation and a pink dildo in my living room. Safe to say I will not be ordering from spirit again! I don't want to risk getting another dildo. Oh and the package was addressed to me so it wasn't a screw up of me not noticing another name.

I purchased a Halloween costume, decorations and ordered a large scarecrow that was suppose to come with a stake (I paid $20 extra dollars for oversized shipping) It came in a small box no stake and did not even work!!! (eyes lighting up) I then emailed corporate with no response!!!! I will never shop there again.

I ordered a cup that was not available at the store. It arrived damaged. I contacted customer service and they asked for a picture of the damage. I sent it immediately and have not heard back from them. It has been 2 months. I will never order anything on-line from this outfit.

Be sure to check your receipts! We shopped at Spirit on four separate occasions prior to Halloween. On every receipt, there is a "round up" charge. When I questioned two different stores about it, the cashiers said, that their registers automatically does this. It is illegal to force customers to donate to your charity of choice and to make matters worse, no one asked me if it was ok to impose this fee. I contacted customer service and I have it in writing that they would mail a refund for all four charges. Never did!
