We have been with Spectrum/Charter for 10 years. They are always raising their prices but we faithfully pay our bill for our service. 4 days ago our cable box went dead during a thunder storm. We rent the cable box and pay the fee monthly. No matter how hard I try I can not get them to come to replace the box...which is their property. They have pushed me 5 days out for a 10 minute job. This is how they treat their longtime loyal customers. Beware! We are looking for a new provider.

I just got off the phone with a gentleman named Justin after wanting to add service.
He was very helpful and friendly. He gave lots of information that was all helpful.
The service I receive from them is great as well. I just use internet but plan to receive more from them.

Don't even know where to start. I moved and they first disconnected my one service before I even moved when I told them the exact day I needed to service transferred. I was on the phone with them for an hour and 50 minutes before finally getting it up and going. She told me she took care of the transfer and tried selling my on TV and I told her absolutely not. Later on I got billed for TV!! Then on my move day the internet was not connected. I called and the lady said I was all set. I waited an hour and still nothing so I called back and was told they needed to have someone come to my house. The original day the person was supposed to come they cancelled two hours before.
Finally a guy did show up (who was very pleasant and got the job done). However, a week later I recieved two bills in the mail for they never cancelled my old house account!! I am sorry but Spectrum is HORRIBLE and it sucks they are the only option in my area!

This company is really bad. They are rude very rude. Trying to end services is very frustrating. No labels for returning equipment then sent me more equipment and expect to charge me more money for services I'm trying to end. Do your self a favor and go look for services elsewhere. What a headache. I have had been fighting to end all for a month. Spectrum is the worst!!!!

I've had internet service with spectrum for some time. I was paying for 100mbps the highest they offer and my bill was around $60 a month. They had the buyout program so I called and took the offer as advertised. When I called the lady on the phone said dont pay your direct TV bill because they will give you up to $500. I didnt believe it but the lady reassured me of this $500 check. This was a hassle the whole thing. They said I needed my final bill so I called direct TV and they said it takes 3 months for the final bill. When I called spectrum they said I had 90 days to submit my final bill for my buyout check. I submitted my final bill as soon as I got it. And they denied me my buyout check. I finally after numerous calls got somebody to understand my situation and send me my check. They only sent me the cancelation fee that direct TV added to my bill. So I was furious that I had been lied to! Not to mention my bill was never around $90, I do have the extra internet and 1 add on channel for 5.99 a month. My bill has always been $160 until my 1 year was over now my bill is $220! I regret just letting them take advantage of me! I also have had numerous problems with my internet. It's always slow with just 4 phones on wifi and 1 xbox! They said there was no other internet that I had the highest one. Well I didnt have any of these problems when I was only paying for internet. I feel like they are over pricing people with the hidden fees or something. I also feel like noone should get taken advantage of from them. Please do not fall for their bull**** like I did. I am about to cancel everything except internet in the next 30 days.

Horrible company to have as your provider...
Have had their internet service in Fayetteville NC for almost 2 years...
The service goes down a minimum of once per day (for an hour or longer).
Unfortunately, there aren't may options available to replace them with.
Ordered phone and cable from them today...
Was directed to go to one of their locations to pick the equipment up.
Once I got the equipment home and tried installing it (and after calling in to activate it) I was informed that it would take 24 hours before they could activate the service and I have to wait...
This was not told to me by the sales rep I spoke to on the phone and this was not told to me when I picked the equipment up...
They didn't even provide me with what my phone number is supposed to be!!!
So no TV or phone for 24 hours after picking up the equipment?
What's the point of having me pick up[ the equipment? why not just activate it and then tell me when to pick it up...
I've been dealing with them for 4.5 hours... Urgh… If you have an alternative option, I would check them out before ordering any service from this company...
I will also provide an update to let everyone know how many times a day the phone and cable stop working (if they ever activate the service)

Went to them after dumping Att/Direct TV. They r all jokes to say the least. Price is really all the same but there is still not much improvement between Spectrum and Time Warner, probably worse. Only had for a month and have lost connections at least 5 times already on clear hot days in El Paso TX. Two good things: no charge to leave and faster internet? I was being cheated by ATT. Was to get 50 speed and was getting 10 and under? Only have cable cause my Netflix does not have my local channels? Will give Spectrum a trial run. Customer Service is okay but channeling is plume terrible at times.

why have I been on hold for 35 minutes waiting on Spectrum customer service? I had an appointment scheduled for 8pm to start new service. After the technician didn’t show up, I called to follow up and was told my appointment did not exist for tonight. Not only did the CSR lie, she said I had to pay my first month payment to secure my appointment time but she scheduled me for Tuesday at 9am. I don’t know what type of operation y’all are running but this isn’t cool!!!! 🤬

TWC/ spectrum keeps raising our bundle Bill for no apparent reason. When I called their customer service department, the rep didn't answer the question, just told me to buy a roku stick and use the app. Guess they are trying to do away the cable business!

I switched to Spectrum at my lake house so I could bundle with their fast Internet which I like. However, the customer service for the cable--shame on Spectrum. I have had the technician out 3 times in the few months I had the service. And had to buy additional equipment so I could use the boxes concealed in furniture. Outdated and refurbished equipment and now I find out another box is bad. Just what I want to do, wait for a cable guy when I am at my vacation home. And the cost of Spectrum is high. So disappointed.

Spectrum TV keeps getting worse and worse. Their service is horrible, customer service is laughable their equipment is a joke. Especially TV app. Instead of continuing to grow their business with mobile service and now Spectrum news they really should concentrate on making their Core Business usable that would be cable.but honestly I don't think they give a crap about us, especially if you have been a longtime customer. I have been with them for 20 years, means nothing to them, they treat new business better. You will pay a lot of money for a lot of headache!

I become Spectrum Customer with them promising to buy my contract for early withdrawer from my former company. I did the same I drop my former company and went to Spectrum. Sign on with them thinking that they would keep the contract to buy my contract from my former company. I submitted all the documents thinking that Spectrum would pay as they promise for the buy out. It is over 8 months now NO check. They do not even reply. One time they say that the document got lost. I provided them with another set of documents. I have heard from other Customer about this situation Can any person help

Spectrum is terrible. We have channels go off every night. We change the channel and the screen goes black. They sent a technician to fix it. It didn’t help. It’s terrible. My phone goes to LTE because the internet goes down. They told me to change settings to 5G. I did. Right now I’m staring at a black screen. I miss Dish Network.
And, I’ve been paying for a modem for 2 years, they advertise that they don’t charge for a modem. That’s a lie

In New York state our bill say make checks payable to Time Warner cable but we pay charter prices. I 'm suppose to get 159 channels that's what I was told but I only get 125 channels customer services say those channels are not in your market then lower my bill they said NO. Do you know that they offer 40 for internet speed at a lower price of $44.95 it's in my area go to there website I said I wanted that they said No. They have shut down we the customers it's all of greed and crappy services at least in NY state. We need more cable company's in NY state. Spectrum should not be in 40 states.The FCC has created a monopoly we the customers are being over charged every mouth.

I just quit working for this silly scamming a** company. Not only do they lie about the internet and pricing but they cheat the employees out of money as well. You lie for them and make them so much money and then they don’t want to pay you. I hope someone sue them again because it’s sad that people spend their hard-earned money on the service and it’s garbage. I couldn’t sell the s*** anymore sorry mfs. Sales agent straight up LIED about the service he was selling me. I told him it was three people using it for streaming/gaming. He sells me $70/mo internet, fine. If any of my roommates so much as breathes on the modem, my Netflix movie, or game with stop while the modem defecates itself for about five minutes. It's no big deal for picking a movie back up, but for a gamer? How is it legal for them to sell me Product A and yet deliver Product Q, but regular basic kids can't put up lemonade stands anymore? Reporting to the BBB.

Terrible internet provider, consistently cuts off every few minutes for the past month during evening times. I called customer service 3x and still having problems with speed and connectivity, internet is incredibly slow for the price. If you have options for internet service I recommend looking elsewhere.
Service: Ultra Internet 400mbps
- Using wifi I get around 10mbps average if I'm lucky then 15mbps
- Using Ethernet cable i get about 30-35mbps
Price: $120+ per month (Internet & Phone only)

If there was an option for 0 stars that’s what they would get! The worst customer service. They don’t give a danm. You call them and there computer operator never gives you the right person then when you get transferred everywhere and finally get to the right person you better hope that whatever your trying to solve is fixed then and there and you don’t have to call back because you will have to go through it all over again. I literally can’t beleive they could be this incompetent to not have any notes anything.
A simple upgrade of a new modem and router that I picked up at there store then hooked back up at home which they must do everyday is super complicated. How they do not have a process for this is mind blowing. Absolute total disappointment.

And the first month everything was okay and my second bill I got charged $149 because that technician show up on my home but in my first time when I talked to the customer service they say is going to be free no charge no Heights no catch they are f****** over 149 dollars extra for nothing and the technicianand was Ruth and hostel I called customer service and all they say I'm sorry but you're going to get Bill

My husband and I purchased iPhones from the spectrum store in Appleton Wi on 3/30/19. Since our purchase we have had an ongoing issue with our phones. We have contacted Apple and Spectrum to fix the issue. Both were unable to help. While talking to Spectrum on the 1-800 number they suggested we replace his phone. I said that our boxes were damaged in a flood- in which they replied it was not a problem and they would send out a new phone. A few days later I received a call that stated they couldn’t and we would have to go to the store. We went to the store for 2 1/2 hours and had the phone replaced. It was very uncomfortable for some of the employees were talking very negatively about the customers and the home office employees. Regardless the phone was replaced. However the issues did not resolve. I call Spectrum regularly trying to get it fixed with no luck. Spectrum said I had until 4/30 to return the phone (per notes on my account). Finally I talked to someone who said they had no idea what was left to do and it probably best to return our phones. I again asked about me not having the box for my phone and they said it was fine as long as I had the cords. They said to bring it to the store by 4/30. I realized today 4/29 that the date provided was not accurate and I needed to have it returned by today to be within their stated policy. The manager at Spectrum 1-800 number stated because I was provided the wrong date, the manager at the store had the discretion to allow me the extra date so I could get my service switched - and again stated it was fine I didn’t have my box. I went to the store where I was treated horrible. The girl there asked me what I needed and I said I had a huge issue. She said “oh great. Another one. Can’t freaking wait to listen to another person b****ing”. She refused to help me and said none of this was her problem. I needed my box and she wasn’t taking my husbands. She said I had to call the 1-800 number. I left and called the 1-800 number where I was told that because they phones were purchased in the stores, where I was told they couldn’t help me and had to be returned in store. I went back and said what I was told and that I was told that 1) Spectrum said it was fine I didn’t have the box and 2) I had to return in the store. I was told that they couldn’t and wouldn’t return my phone. They were rude and so unhelpful. They said their computer wouldn’t let them so even though it was within the 30 days, they weren’t taking the phone back! They were horrible to me and refused to return my phones even within their stated policy. Although many people on the phone said there was no issue with the box. The store refused to take it - even though they returned my husbands first phone without the box - no questions. I tried returning my phones within the stated time and was rejected. I was talked down too, I was treated worse than dirt, laughed at and completely discredited. The way I was treated was horrible. The laughed at me and my situation. I called Spectrum after I left and they were shocked and had no idea why they would not help. I feel like I was being discriminated against by this store.
After filing a complaint with the BBB, I finally had someone call and help me. Matt from Spectrum stated he would accept our phones and have them graded to see if they will return them. (I made a bet with my husband that they will find a way to reject them). Matt told me to send in my phones, boxes, headphones, and chargers. I did. A few days later, I got a call, sure enough, the phones just missed being a B grade, so they could not be accepted. They sent me pictures or all these scratched up phones. Funny thing, in the pics you can clearly see a film over the top of the phones. One "scratch" was clearly a thumb print and the others looked to be on the film, not the phone. Spectrum said that would send me back everything that I had sent them, for they would not return them.
I got a call a few days later from FedEx. Regardless of Spectrum having my correct address, they mislabeled the phones and they could not be delivered. The only way to fix would be 1) have Spectrum call FedEx and updated 2) me come to the FedEx store to pick them up or 3) be returned to Spectrum. I called Matt to have him contact FedEx. Matt called back and said the FedEx would not update the address. I ended up then tracking the phones down and picking them up. When I got there, I asked FedEx why they wouldn't change the address. The woman called a few people, and they have no record of Spectrum calling to update my address. Frankly I believe FedEx that Matt just lied to me. Anyways, I open up my phone and to my surprise, there is only 1 phone, no cords, and no headphone. I call Spectrum and leave a message for Matt. I call the customer service line, they tell me they have no idea where my husbands phone is. they said they will have someone call me within 48 hours. Over 72 hours later, I get a call. They finally tracked down my husbands phone and I should have it tomorrow. They proceed to inform me that my cord/headphones are gone. When they get phones back for grading, everything except the phone is put in a box to be destroyed. The woman at Spectrum says she will reimburse me $80/phone since I now have to repurchase the cords/headphones. I get my husbands phone in the mail today - again no cords, headphones and original box. Again, all was destroyed. Also, the "scratches" they saw on his phone are not there! They clearly are pulling a fast on me so they did not have to return my phones.
I have every intent on talking to a lawyer about this case. They are horrible to work with! They will do whatever they have to, to pull a fast one on the clients. Be careful if you work with them. They have no intent on helping you, or following their promises!
