We have just came back from La Plagne, 1 week ski holiday from Snowtrex. Absolutely fantastic trip from start to finish. Our package included 2-person studio apartment, ski pass and ski rental. Whole booking process was smooth and easy. Two weeks before the departure we have received all vouchers (accommodation, ski pass, ski rental) incl. instructions on how to redeem them upon arrival. Some people complain about miscommunication - my advice is just to read all the info on the website as everything is there. Special thank you to UK customer service team for helping with payment processing. HSBC blocked part of the payment due to security reasons. It was explained that this happens sometimes as Snowtrex is German registered company. Nevertheless all was sorted out in the end. Very happy overall!

First time we've used this company. Skied in Valmeinier and Volloire (France) at end of March 2018. Stayed at Les Hauts de Valmeinier.
Very impressed with service and accommodation. Great value for money. Will use Snowrex again and will defo recommend to friends.

I havent been on my holiday yet, but im going with 2 friends to val d'isere next weekend. After much deliberation we decided to spoil ourselves so we booked a 53m2 place with two rooms and a sofa couch so we could each have our own space... this option cost about 130EUR more per person. I just realised this week that they decided to downgrade us to a 32m2 apartment with one room so now we have to slum it on top of each other... not the end of the world but certainly not ideal. As i was quick to pay and confirm the vacation, approving the confirmation information without actually double checking it, I suppose its my own fault. I would suggest you double check the room options on your booking confirmation before paying any cash. Hopefully the rest of the trip goes smoothly, but its rather annoying to fork out over 400EUR extra for nothing! that said the booking team has been quick to respond and accommodating regarding some changes we had to make for one of our travelers. At the end of the day its all about the slopes, and as long as i have a comfortable spot to lay my head after the days riding it should be ok. So far 3 stars. Zero for that sneaky bait and switch on the accommodation option but 5 for communication and service. will review my review again post trip.

After seeing some negative reviews for this company after booking my holiday I was a bit apprehensive. However, it was all round fantastic. The booking was seamless with no problems, and at a great price too! The information received was really useful and any questions I had afterwards were handled well by the customer service team.
The holiday itself was great and the accommodation and vouchers that were provided were more than what was expected. I would highly recommend this company as a result!

Dont buy your vacation at Snowtrex if you dont want a stressful vacation. I have been skiing for more than 30 years both alone and in groups, and i have never seen any kind of problem with returning the money for a liftcard if you have not used it, normally it is something that is done with within the hour.
A couple of weeks before our vacation, my girlfriend gets told by the doctor that she has a bad knee, and skiing would be a very bad idea, as i have tried to get my liftcard refunded before i didnt think to unbook it before the vacation, as we get to Saalbach we unbook her liftcard at the lift on the very first morning we get there, and from there everything just went downhill.
as we contact Snowtrex to tell them about the situation, some woman starts to verbally abuse my girlfriend, as i get to the phone they tell us to contact the lift agency and get the voucher back with a signed of statement that we really did not get that liftcard. As I ask if that is not their job, I get told that apparently they dont have the time for that. So i go get the voucher with the signed of statement for them, by this point the vacation is over and we go home, as we get back, we call Snowtrex once more to verify that everything is now in order, at this point they tell us that they buy all the liftcards at once and that we therefore cant bet our money back before end season, but if we want the money back before we have to get them by the insurance. so we wait.
today almost 2 months after end season i call them to find out what is going on, at this point they wont even correspondence by phone, only e-mail, aaand the e-mail says.......... get your money back by the insurance.
At this point i have used hour for hour more time on getting 250 euros back for a service we havnt used, as i have been skiing the whole week.
So know this if you choose to buy your vacation at Snowtrex. If you are having a wonderful vacation were everything just runs smoothly there should be no problem, but if anything at all goes wrong your on your own and you can forget about any kind of refunding. If you send that company money they are gone

We booked very last minute with Snowtrex after some deliberation (the deal seemed to be too good to be true...) The process was easy and smooth, and any queries we had were quickly answered by their call centre (don't be thrown off by the non-English call centres. When we arrived, everything was in order including the accommodation, ski hire and lift passes and it all ran very smoothly. Our only criticism was the lack of information about the hotel provided by Snowtrex - we ended up incurring additional charges including towel rental and extortionate city tax. However, overall, the holiday was fantastic value and we would book again.

Lots of choice with excellent value due to inclusive lift passes so accommodation is virtually free when booking certain weeks. Also good value equipment hire all done in advance so all very easy.

Great holiday with snowtrex. Would highly recommend. We stayed in Valmeinier in Le Hauts des Valmeinier. Lovely apartments, clean and well equipped. 150m from a green slope to ski directly to the village below. Great value for money and will definitely book again with them.

Save yourself the hassle and book with a reputable company. The website is awfully laid out making it very confusing. You think you've made an enquiry when actually you've booked a holiday. Phone support lady was helpful and friendly, obviously it is not her fault. But, it all could have been made a lot clearer that a holiday had been booked. The cancellation fees are huge.
Will never book with this company again, i would rather put a bonfire out with my own face.

If you are looking for a cheaper priced ski fix then using snowtrex is great, accommodation varies but is of a good clean standard, no frills I'm afraid and some accommodations are definitely better than others! All in all a good company.

Booking form states, No of lift passes: included for each person not no lift passes plus all lifts in resort closed on sunday and we arrived Saturday evening. Consumers be aware of how they have treated us as they will do the same to you. We spent all day on the phone to them and the UK office agreed that booking confirmation was confusing. Selina UK office manager
Snowtrex sold us a ski holiday. Resort closed so ski passes if ever supplied are irrelevant. They are not a ski holiday company. Customers look at their reply as highlights their customer service. They advertised ski holiday for 40 pounds with buzing resort and lift passes as a crazy Snowtrex sale on holiday pirates.com. great prices is how they get your money but don't deliver. See www.Snowtrex.co for further information about this company. They are so bad I am taking them to court on my return ro then UK. Chris Taylor
DO NOT BOOK ANYTHING WITH SNOWTREX. Be aware that this company can not be trusted and have tottally messed up six peoples holiday in Austria this week. Sent us to a resort which is closed and had to go two hours to find lifts which are open to be told we dont have a lift pass which was included in our booking. All day on phone and emails and still no help and even have the cheek to blame us. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. In box me for further details Chris Taylor before you send any money to these fraudsters

Two years on the row the accommodation is booked with ski passes included, yet due to no-snow, we had to pay an extra 400 Euro for the passes and 320 Euro last year. Strongly feel that alternative arrangements should be made if deals like so sold. There are plenty lifts around the area that are running and there is a snow at near by slops, only the one that included in the deal has no snow. Snow trex don't fee they can do anything. Yet the payment for unavailable service they could take comfortably.
The hotel is rated 4 stars, yet it's very basic, no kettle or a mini fridge to put kids fruits or yogurt in the room.
As they say, you get what you pay for. Well, not in our case. We've paid, but got only part of the deal and no hel from snow trex.

We stayed at schillerhof in Bad Gastein as a family of four. Spacious well equipped accommodation in very accessible resort. Enjoyed the relaxing pool and sauna within the accommodation and the lively SilverBullet after skiing. Walked to one set of slopes - drove 1.3km to second larger set. Good skiing despite late in the season. Thoroughly enjoyed holiday. 4th booking with snowtrex.

All I really want to say about SnowTrex is that they ask you to pay a deposit on the apartment incase you break anything. The only problem with this is that they don't have a secure place to hold it and they had everyone's money and credit card details stolen and proceeded to not tell anyone until the end of the week. They the. Refused to offer any compensation or even just a drink on the house. Quite simply shocking service by SnowTrex at the Chamrousse resort!

I cannot fault Snowtrex, they offered such a brilliant value ski package and closer to the time came back so quickly with answers to queries I had. All info sent through two weeks prior to travel, and all went so smoothly using their vouchers on the holiday.

Fabulous value for money with ski passes included. Helpful customer service line answered all queries knowledgeably. Will definitely use again.

The main thing to be aware of with Snowtrex is to not book anything by accident. It is misleading that you do not have to put any credit card details in to book a holiday, but you will be penalised if you try to cancel a booking. Could be quite a fun way to get your own back on people you don't like. Book them a holiday with snowtrex and laugh as they get hounded by the company.
I digress. The accommodation is basic, usually in nice surroundings but always lacking such basic things as bedside table, wooden spoon for cooking, kettle (this I can just about understand as it is not a European thing). I'm not sure why they don't provide these things. Perhaps people are unable to prevent themselves from stealing bedside tables?
Our accommodation was filthy, the dinner table chairs were falling apart and the fresh baguettes that can be ordered for breakfast were either not bought as reception was too hung over and didn't get to the bakery in time or not bought because reception was closed.
That said, you cannot get a cheaper holiday and if you are happy to slum it slightly and just bring some cooking utensils and cleaning aids with you, it can be a very pleasant stay.

I would score them more favourably than negatively. They try their best but they presume they everyone who turns up does so by car - which means that meeting them across one side of the resort to where we had prior arranged (because they were drinking in a bar) makes lugging our luggage inconvenient. I would recommend them based on the price but not on their in resort reps who were barring 60 chaotic minutes (when we couldn't locate them) unavailable and unhelpful.

I was happy with the service that was provided by SnowTrex on our skiing holiday this year. It was pleasure to deal with their customer service team when we had a question about the accommodation. The correct information was provided and vouchers for lift passes was easy to use. Overall very happy with the holiday! thanks!

Our first time skiing in France, organising it ourselves, we came across Snowtrek and were so impressed with the information on the website regarding the resorts, accomodation and most importantly the value for money. It was great to know that ski passes and equipment and also lessons if required were all booked and paid for before we travelled. The vouchers for all the above arrived by email and were efficiently deslt with at the resort. The accomodation was great, we stayed at La Turra in Valfrejus, couldnt fault it and being directly on the piste was fantastic. We will definitely use tge company again.

They were really great at responding to emails quickly and really found out information that we needed and presented it in a friendly manner- ski-hire, buses, trains, insurance etc. The only thing is that the opening hours are during working times, so I found it hard to get in contact with them when I needed to. In saying that I would recommend them- without hestitation.

Booked a week at Les Hautes De Valmeninier through Snowtrex for Christmas 2013 and had a very good holiday.
Accommodation is basic, perhaps stretching their 4 star rating a little, but it was warm (once we had turned the heaters up - this was the opening week in the resort so the appt would have been unoccupied prior to our week).
The pool is an added bonus and handy if conditions aren't great for skiing.
Valmeinier is a good little resort - although we found there was a lack of confidence building runs for beginners. My wife struggled the first few days with the run down to the lifts which is rated as a green, but given the number of people on that section of piste - I've skied reds that are easier. There is a nice long nursery slope for the absolute beginners, but then the green which comes down from the top of the mountain is quite narrow with steep drops off the side for long parts.
I'd say this resort is ideally suited to people that are doing their 2nd or 3rd holiday.
Eating and drinking out was not cheap as you expect in France, although the Pizza San Marco (just below the accommodation) was reasonably priced for both food and drinks. Also, shop at the Sherpa store (again, just below the hotel) rather than the store across the car park from the accommodation. There is a much wider choice of products all at better prices. They also have fresh tartiflette in a large pan cooking which can be bought to take away - an absolute must when in France.
Watch out for the hidden costs we paid extra for internet access in the room - which to be honest was very poor. We chose not to bother paying for the TV. There is also an optional additional cleaning charge although we cleaned our own room. There are no transfers to the resort - a taxi fare (return) will be in the vicinity of 650 euros, so we hired a car, which with fuel, snow chains, and Peage tolls probably came in around the £300 mark.
I'm sure we will be back soon - if you want a no frills / value holiday then you can't go far wrong.
