I'm very dissatisfied with smith and noble and doubt I will order from them again or recommend them. My shipment of faux wood blinds came in the summer on a hot day and much earlier than I was told they would. We were on vacation as I didn't anticipate them coming or I would have made arrangements for them to be brought in my house. 1 came very warped and looked horrible. Smith and noble did repack it, however, the one they sent was cut uneven and didn't match up with my other blinds which are hung 3 in a row on same window. I contacted them again and sent pictures, and was told they would contact me within a week. I haven't received any info regarding my blind and have contacted them, but still haven't heard back. The blind looks horrible and so uneven. Very dissatisfied and won't ever order from them again. Buyer beware.. horrible customer service.

I have to edit my original review since the repairs did not take 7 weeks. I believe the rep sent me the incorrect date and my blinds were sent back to me within 3 weeks and not 7. She indicated Nov 26 and I think she made a mistake and they were sent back on October 26. I was pleased that they are still providing the level of customer service that they they used to.
I used Smith and Noble about 5 years ago for blinds and drapes for our new home. They had good customer service back then but not now. My blinds had to be restrung since the cords were falling apart within 2 years, again 3 years later. I had it sent back to get it fixed and they indicated that it would take 7 weeks. I will never purchase from them again.

The quality of the shades is very nice and they look great. My issue is with the sales person I worked with. I was using Smith & Noble because I wanted a professional to guide my decisions. Not the case. She made an error and not only do I have to pay for a second installation but have to wait a solid month before getting my new shades. She thought I'd be happy though that she gave me a 10% discount off the new shades but also pointed out a promotion of 30% off that I missed because I didn't get that promotion sent to me. Not nice!

I put in a few orders and one of my items, double shades for a large window was not done correctly. After a few bumps in communication, I connected with customer service rep Brendi Bischoff who was beyond helpful.
She understood how/where the error happened and helped me find the correct second shade for my order (the original material I had chosen had been discontinued). She also put it in as a rush and it was all done free of charge.

Ronnie Henderson handled my problem with Professional expertise and as a result there of, I was able to refit / install our blackout roller blinds with ease.
The problem was that the window installers had the plastic tab on the mounting brackets facing the front instead of facing the window.

Ordered 7 separate solar shades for windows in my home. They all look great and work well except for one, which was either damaged or incorrectly assembled.
Frustrating as it was to have the last one I installed not work as expected, I appreciated that it was taken care of via a quick phone call. No wait time and Angela, who handled the call, was helpful by offering some possible adjustments on my end (which didn't work out) before then offering to repair/replace the shade.
Happy to have a quality product from a company that stands behind them.

No star rating here. It took two days of insulation and hours of sitting with the installer, damage to my trim work and a less than satisfaction finish to install 3 roller blinds. Simple. The company measured, advised on right product and sent their installer. Now today,Thanksgiving, weeks after the problem they send me a note to send them photos when they promised to send the designer out to
see the problem. This is after their installer said that “this is not right you need to call your designer”. He also stated that he was sending a report in ASAP. Now the company says today that the report never arrived. I am not happy with this company and very very disappointed. I would never used them or recommend them.

I called to say that our wooden blinds had developed a split in the cords, making them impossible to raise or lower. After purchasing board mounted valances this summer which cost me in excess of 1200.00 they arrived and the pleats looked nothing like the photo on line. We hung them thinking they would settle and fall out or into place in a few days. There were also returns on the sides that are made of a stiff cardboard material which is also covered in fabric. They are separating from the valance with a gap at the end on both sides and on both the living and dining room valances. I contacted customer service and sent photos. I was told I had to "dress the valance" myself by adjusting the strings under the valance pleats. Mind you, the valance is hung and this means they have to come down to do this. I asked why I wasn't told this was a necessary step when I purchased them? No answer. I was told they could send an installer and he could look at them and assess the situation and make them right. This was an additional $203.00 and they were already hung! My husband and I decided that the investment in these valances was substantial and we wanted them to be right. We saved for months to get them. The installer was scheduled (for a date that had already passed) and he called us and we rescheduled on our own. He came out promptly and said the valances were as dressed as they could be and that was not the issue. He tried to steam them and close the gaps by pulling them toward the returns on the sides. This only made the opposite side short, widened that gap and looked worse. He said he would let the company know his expert opinion and I waited to hear from them . I received an email stating the factory was notified and said the valances needed to be "dressed" and I could try double sided tape to attach the sides to the return. I asked for a refund of the installer fee of $203.00 since we installed them and he didn't really do anything or couldn't to make them right. I was told no that wasn't possible and since he didn't work for them and was an independent contractor they couldn't refund my install fee. NO refund or exchange offered. I am out now to the tune of $1400 and have valances that look like an amateur made them. I am contacting an attorney and my credit card company to try to get some satisfaction on my own. I have had several emails back and forth and have sent many photos of the valances to no avail. Think long and hard before you purchase this type of item from them and pay for the installer at the start since these require "dressing" by adjusting cords and strings in the back which the installer told us had no play in them. Oh and there is a you tube video they offered to show me how to do something (dress the valances) that a professional installer could not do. Utterly disgraceful service and goods. Never ever again!! Della and Denise have been extra-helpful and gracious with their efforts to correct defective right clutches that were fraying the cords on our new blinds. They have been super-courteous and prompt with returning calls and remedying the manufactured bad batch of clutches. We have ordered 13 shades with 2 separate orders and have had outstanding customer service! We love the product and have confidence in Smith & Noble's product and their customer service.
