Now that we've been back from our family trip for two months and life has picked up where it left off. We want to thank Shalom Tours for what proved to be a perfect journey through Israel. Everything, and I do mean everything went as planned. Every part of the trip, from the private transfers to and from the airport, to seeing the important sites, to the hotel accommodations came off flawlessly. We were made to feel like VIP's throughout. The only changes happened when we wanted to do something different. In both cases Shalom was flexible and painlessly accommodated us. What was most impressive was our expecting to pay the legitimate cost to make the changes. Shalom, however, worked his magic, perhaps absorbing the costs himself and there was not a single additional fee.
Of course, the absolute most important part of a trip such as this is the guide. Yehuda became part of the family. His enthusiasm, sense of humor, knowledge and really him just being himself made the trip. At the end there were four teary eyed adults having trouble saying goodbye. We all love Yudi, he made the trip special and we'll never forget him.
We will remember this very important family trip forever and it is because Shalom Tours met or exceeded every expectation we had. While it's 4-5 years out we are already looking forward to working with Shalom on our next trip to Israel.

We booked a 9 day trip for my family to celebrate my daughter's Bat Mitzvah. It was an incredible experience we'll never forget.
Our tour guide, Daniel, was amazing. Thoroughly knowledgeable of the history and religious significance of all the places we visited. He was incredibly helpful in making sure the places we ate could accommodate my daughters' food allergies. And he was a very interesting person - fun to discuss politics, life in Israel and other topics.
Shalom was very helpful all along and responded quickly to any questions or concerns we had. All of the details throughout the trip were taken care of so we could just focus on the incredible sites and experiences.
So if you're looking to book a trip to Israel, you should use Shalom Tours if you want a very well organized, well planned, informative and interesting trip.

I have just had a series of emails from this company. I expressed my opposition as an american to traveling in Israel. The representative has now called me mentally ill and gone on to use filthy epithets in response to my comments. I want to underline that I never contacted this company but they have gone on to write these vile attacks on me. I would think twice about dealing with such people.

The Shalom Jewish Heritage Tour was one of the best tours I've ever done, and I've done dozens. It was beautifully organised, the guide Doron was a walking Jewish encyclopaedia, helpful and entertaining. As a non-Jewish and non-religious person, I had some misgivings but they were short-lived. The whole experience was immensely interesting and enjoyable, illuminating even to anyone unfamiliar with Jewish customs and traditions. Highly recommended for anyone interested in the history of the Middle East.

As far as we're concerned, Shalom Tours is the Cadillac of the Israeli-based tours. From the moment we met our guide, Shimon, our tour was the most informative and in-depth experience that one could ever hope for. The visits to, and explanations about historic sites, as well as Shimon's incredible knowledge of ancient and Jewish traditions brought everything into light and context. One of the highlights was a spiritually inspiring visit to Hebron, where we prayed at the tombs of our patriarchs and matriarchs.
The accommodations were also first class. Immediately upon arrival at Ben Gurion, we were given VIP treatment. We never waited in line (and they were plenty of lines), and we were given equal VIP treatment for our departure. Top notch from touchdown to takeoff.
In sum,we saw the miracle of modern Israel with the perfect mix of spirituality, education, recreation, touring, and comfort, all thanks to Shimon. And so we say, thank you. We endorse and recommend you and Shalom Israel Tours with alacrity.

Our guide, Aharon, was wonderful. He made the history of Israel come alive and managed to take care of the needs of the tour members. He was an excellent guide to the rich history and current situation in Israel. We did the 12 day tour and every day was great. From touring to relaxing on Shabos, the trip was magical. Shalom tours had been recommended by a friend who has taken several trips/tours to Israel and she was right about it being the best. The tour does combine other tour companies (we didn't find this a problem at all), but Shalom was the only one that had made reservations for the light show (which we thought we would pass because we were tired but others on the tour convinced us to go and we were so happy we did!) Members not booked with Shalom did not have reservations and the show was sold out that night so they did not get to go. Shalom also did other little special things (won't ruin the surprise) that made it a fabulous experience.

Thank you Shalom and of course Doron. It was truly a trip of a lifetime. We took the 12 day Jewish Heriitage Tour and can only say it was phenomenal. Everything went like clockwork and we did not want it to end. Shalom plannned out a wonderful trip and give us just enough of a taste at each stop so as to be sure not to leave out anything of major interest. There is so much to see in the holy land and fir the first time there we clearly had a beautiful time.

I did a 15 day tour with Shalom Israel in May. The experience was at least 50% better than I expected. Everything from pick up at the airport to dropping back at the airport was very well organised. Our guide, Aaron, was extremely knowledgeable and obviously very passionate about his country. All bar one of the hotels were excellent. As a very nice touch a box of biscuits were waiting for me at the hotel on Erev Shabbat. I would highly recommend this company and I hope I am able to return to Israel and use their services again.

Shalom Israel Tours is an exceptional tour operator. My wife and I signed up for their Jewish Heritage Tour. The tour was exceptional in every way. Everything on the scheduled itinerary was covered in a pleasant and organized way. Our guide, Mali was extremely knowledgeable in all respects. Her historical information provided us with a better understanding of the sites and the events in their past. Our tour days were physically and emotionally rewarding. Shalom's attentiveness to detail was appreciated. Emails were sent, at regular intervals, with important reminders regarding our schedule. It was very helpful.
Israel is a great country with a great history. Shalom Israel Tours made every effort for each participant to appreciate and enjoy this greatness.

My daughter and I just returned from a trip to Israel, June 5-22. We were part of the Jewish Heritage Tour from 06/08/17-06/22/17. We coordinated our trip through Shalom Israel Tours after reading reviews on TripAdvisor. I can say we were not disappointed. Shalom was always swift to respond to our many emails over the months leading up to our trip except for during Shabbat (which is expected for the observant). Once Shabbat was over, he responded quickly as always. Shalom helped us coordinate our stay before and after the tour, as well as additional excursions. In addition, we requested an earlier pick up to the airport the day of our departure and he accommodated our request. We appreciated it since we were informed that the VAT line could be long. We did wait at the VAT line approximately 35 minutes and we overheard others saying that they had been in line for an hour. Some people had to leave the line to catch their flights and were not able to receive their refunds. Shalom and Aaron both informed us that we had to have not only our paperwork but the items to show for the refund. Some individuals in the line did not receive their refunds since their items were checked in their luggage. We were truly grateful for Shalom and Aaron informing us of the process. Every part of our trip was perfectly executed. We had pick up to and from the airport. Our trip going to Israel was delayed significantly and we emailed Shalom. I was somewhat concerned since we would be arriving much later than anticipated but Yossi was there to great us and assure us we were in good hands. We were. Aaron was our astounding guide. He made the trip interesting from a historical perspective, as well his viewpoint as an Israeli Jew. Aaron also provided us his cell number the day before we were heading into Jordan for our tour to Petra. Aaron said he didn’t anticipate any issues but if there was an emergency to please call him. I have never in my travels had a tour guide provide their cell number. It was comforting to know he cared about all of us. The daily schedule of the tour was full of sites to see but we wanted to view as much as possible during our stay so we didn’t mind. We did pick up people from our hotels but it did not take long as the hotels are close in proximity to each other. We enjoyed meeting people from everywhere; Canada, Australia and of course many states in the U.S. We made friends with individuals that will stay in touch and will also visit us in Austin, TX.
Would I recommend and use Shalom Israel Tours again? ABSOLUTELY! Why? Everything went perfectly; from the pick up and drop off to the hotel, receiving our backpack, hats and insulated water bottle holders which we used daily, our tours, our additional excursions, Aaron our tour guide, etc. If you listen to Shalom’s advice you can’t go wrong. We will use Shalom Israel Tours when we return and will recommend to our family and friends. Shalom delivered and made our trip memorable! I finally understand why people return to Israel time and time again.

My family had a phenomenal experience with Shalom Israel Tours over the Passover holiday. We booked directly with Shalom Stark who listened to my very specific requests and who organized a trip that hit on all of my points. From the VIP guides at airport pick up, to drop off 10 days later, we were completely taken care of -- hotels booked, tours organized (with outstanding, passionate guides), free time allotted, gluten-free child fed, etc. We came as a multi-generational group from ages 2 months to 85 years old, and we were all accommodated for (wheelchair/stroller accessibility, age-appropriate tours, etc.). Would I recommend Shalom Tours to my friends? Absolutely!

We used Shalom Israel to book a private tour for four of us. Shalom helped us plan a fabulous itinerary, which we adjusted before and during our trip. From the moment we stepped off the plane, Shalom’s staff gave us VIP treatment. Someone met us at the gate and ushered us to the terminal and through customs, and saw us to the driver who took us to our hotel. The next day, we met our tour guide Shimon, who gave us a fascinating and informative 8-day tour of Israel from the coast to the Golan Heights to Jerusalem, the Dead Sea, and Masada. Shimon adjusted the schedule daily to our needs and interests, and made sure that we learned a lot and had fun, fun, fun. Thanks to Shalom and Shimon, we experienced the trip of a lifetime! I will call them again for my next trip.

When you book your tour with Shalom Israel Tours, Shalom makes every effort during your process an easy one. He and his staff provide a wealth of information from what to pack - to where the best place to get your currency changed among other tidbits that suit your needs. He provides a welcome packet before arrival and upon arrival with addtional information including your itinerary and other goodies to make you feel welcome and so you and your family will know where you are at all times. Shalom Israel Tours provides airport to hotel transport on the day of arrival and day of departure so that you are not left wondering how to navigate the roads in another country. The tour provides safe airconditioned transportation for the scheduled daily sites. While some itineraries offer "Free Day" suggestions, they are exactly that, suggestions and any additional sites or travel outside your scheduled tour is your responsibility. There really isn't any other tour company that I would trust to tour Israel. You are taken care of, you are informed, you are treated with respect and most of all you are treated like family when you book with Shalom Israel Tours.

Great vacation. Not some -paint-by-numbers trip; it was a carefully crafted tour that took into account our particular set of needs and variables (number of people in the party, the fact that we were traveling with children were all taken into account when planning an itinerary and offering suggestions)
The whole thing was very friendly and it flowed freely without any upsets, which is ultimately what one wants when visiting a foreign country.

Shalom doesn´t just bend over backwards to make sure clients are happy - he does BACKFLIPS! Can´t recommnend enough. Seriously, we probably had the best tour guide we´ve ever had in our lives when we went to Masada. In general, Shalom was always available to answer questions and resolve doubts. Everything was just EASY for us. And that´s what we wanted. My only question now is: Shalom - when do you sleep?!??

My family and I visited Israel on the 12 day Jewish Heritage Tour. We had an amazing time at each location we visited. Our tour guide, Mali, made the trip even more special because of her love and knowledge of Israel. The planning was so easy because of Shalom's quick responses and his overall customer service. We will definitely return to visit more of Israel with another Shalom Israel tour. We highly recommend Shalom Israel Tours and Mali, our tour guide.

As above post April 2017, I too was on the Israel tour with Jodi and as described, Our private tour was excellent, our guide was great. However, we take offense that Mr Stark would accuse us of blackmail and threaten to sue us. We missed two flights and do not arrive on the original planned flight. Mr Stark was notified withn 30 minutes of original arrival time that we were not on this flight. As contratcually bound, as part of our tour package, we were not picked up from the airport as promised. After arriving home, we asked for reimbursement for airport transfer. Mr Stark was unaccommadating and not willing to give us what was paid, nor was he willing to reimburse taxi fare. I did tell him that I would rate him negatively on Trip advisor. Speaking the truth of our experience, is in no way blackmail. We did not demand, we asked numerous times for what was just and fair. It is my right, as a consumer, to rate according to how we were treated. Oddly, he is willing to pay attorney fees to sue, yet not willing to reimburse $150 as originally agreed as part of our tour, nor a $50 paid taxi fare.

If your going to Israel I would encourage every one to set up their tour Shalom Israel now. Booking the tour was so easy and our tour guide Eli was the best. But like Eli said, "we must thank all those men and women who gave their lives for us to be able to visit Israel in the first place". I thank them every day because my life has changed entirely. I also want to thank Eli for taking us off the beaten path at times to take us to his favorite little places to shop and eat. His sense of humor and his smile will brighten your day!

First and foremost i am not one to give a negative review. However, we missed 2 flights out of Frankfurt--we notified Mr. Stark as soon as we were able and were aware of our connection plans. He told us they could not accommodate due to shabbat. That is understandable but our group that we were traveling with arrived on time and received a guide at the tarmac-ac, whisked them thru customs and led the to a chauffeur to their hotel. we traveled 48 hrs and proceeded to stand in a customs line and extremely long taxi que. When asking Mr. stark for a refund for the transportation service he did not provide or at least a reimbursement for our taxi he was unaccommodating. He was outraged that we would even suggest. Tour was great; Mordecai our guide was excellent!!!!!! He was warm, humorous and shared his passion for the country. Mr stark was difficult and unpleasant to work with

I cannot say enough good about Shalom Israel Tours!!!! It is truly a family run business and Shalom himself took care of us with thoughtfulness and consideration that really took this trip to the next level for me and my family! I wish I could give ten stars!
He organized tours and excursions that every single member of my family found outstanding - and we are a hard to please bunch! My favorite was the Dead Sea and Masada. Unforgettable! We would have never visited Caesarea if it wasn't for Shalom's suggestion and I'm so glad we listened to him! It turned out to be my Dad, my sons and nephew's favorite place and they had a special time together bonding, making memories for a lifetime! Thank you Shalom, for this priceless family memory.
Shalom thought of everything and went above and beyond, helped us personalize our tours to fit us perfectly, and was always available to us. His tour guides were fun, incredibly well educated, and kept us entertained and informed! We have been back in the States only a week and my sons and nephew are still taking about it and planning our trip back! I never thought I would be able to get my boys excited about a family trip to Israel and now it's ALL they talk about! Thank you Shalom for not only giving us an amazing trip to the Holy Land but also for bringing my family closer together! You're a mensch!!!!

I have just returned from a 16 day trip throughout Israel and can't say enough about Shalom Tours. If I could give Shalom and his tour guides a zillion stars *** I would. As a single woman in her fifties, I had some reservations about traveling alone and what this trip would be like. Needless to say, it went above and beyond my imagination. Shalom was always available, no matter what time zone, or time of day (except of course Shabbat). He answered my questions and was very helpful, even when I got lost in Jerusalem and needed information on an evening show that was scheduled.
My tour began in Tel Aviv with our awesome guide Meni, and we were only three people. I really didn't know what to expect...a huge tour bus, filled with married couples and me, myself, and I feeling alone and lonely. How wrong I was! Our group was all of 3 people, myself included, and it was GREAT! Meni was so knowledgeable about everything, and answered our questions - and we had A LOT of them. He even went "off the route" to point out places to help us better understand and clarify things. Meni was unbelievably wonderful. He made us laugh, was patient, and went above and beyond in everything!!!
From Tel Aviv, the second leg of our trip was off to Jerusalem. Here our group became 11 and Doron was our tour guide. Another amazing experience. Doron's knowledge of the history of Israel was beyond thorough. His understanding of Israel's history, struggles, and creation was amazing. At times, it was hard to take it all in, but he never stopped explaining and helping us to understand the miracles, triumphs, and struggles faced by this country. Doron had a wealth of information that was incredible, to say the least.
The third leg of our journey continued to Eliat and Petra. Again, Doron helped us throughout with everything! Except with Petra, where Israeli guides are not allowed, Doron was with us through every part of our trip. I will say he was tough on us. Our days were non-stop and he never cut us a break, in a good way. We walked miles, saw soooo many amazing historical sites and again, his knowledge was beyond extraordinary. His enthusiasm for Israel was contagious.
Be prepared to walk a lot. Bring comfortable shoes, a hat, and drink lots of water.
Not everyone in our group had the privilege of being part of Shalom Tours and they were envious that we received a welcome gift consisting of a backpack, visor, hat, and the best....a water bottle holder. It kept my water cool throughout the over 100 degree weather (yes, went in August). Unfortunately I lost mine while in the Arab market, and called Shalom. Although he was unable to get me a replacement as we were on our way to Eliat, he offered to mail me one to the states. On Shabbat, when I returned to my room I was greeted with a beautiful box of cookies. Yummy!!
I cannot say enough about this trip. It was a bucket list item that will be remembered for a lifetime. Shalom made it perfect. He was always available, Meni and Doron were great, and our group truly became a family.
Thank you Shalom, Meni, and Doron. The memories I have of this trip will always hold a special place in my heart. Although I traveled alone, I never felt lonely. I highly, highly recommend Shalom Tours to all who want to truly understand and visit Israel. I am so grateful for my Jewish Heritage and all that I have learned.
Took over 1,000 pictures and will share some as soon as I figure out how !!!
This was an amazing experience and I have Shalom Tours to thank for making it perfect and beyond anything I could have imagined!!!

We did the 15 day " Jewish Heritage tour" With Shalom Israel tours. We can't speak more highly enough of this tour and our wonderful , very passionate tourguide, Doron! We did the tour March 23-April 6th 2016. We really can say we seen the lenth and breath of this beautiful country. We also learned so much from Doron. Yes it was full on, but we enjoyed every moment of it. My highlights are: Gan Hashlosha and Beit She'an and most of all Jerusalem. I am so glad we did the the longest tour, we saw lots of places and learned so much, I am thinking of going again with this company! Well done!
