The last two times ive placed an order theres been an item that was backordered for months - but says its available when i purchased it. Just state its not available on site- and also for how expensive the lights are id hope for more coupons/promos or even free shipping for a 1200$ light!! But no im still charged 125$+ for shipping.

We ordered a glass lamp shade in August and nothing showed up until October (despite multiple attempts to contact them). When we opened the box - it was the wrong lamp shade. It took another few weeks to get a hold of them only to be told the one we ordered is no longer available. We shipped the shade back and they only gave us a partial refund despite this entire thing being their fault. I've had to take the issue up with my credit card because the crooks at Shades of Light won't respond to my emails anymore.

This company falsely advertises the availability of their product. When item was fist ordered on 9/7, it stated they had the item in stock. After the item was purchased and not sent for over a week, I contacted via email and they responded it was on backorder and stated this on their website. It was changed to say backordered 4 to 8 weeks. Last week got an email stating it was ready to ship and no tracking number for days. Contacted customer service again and when they finally responded, they said the parts was not in stock and after they received them it would be 12/17 before they were shipped. Please do not waste your time dealing with this business. Believe me it is not worth the hassle and aggravation. Especially if you are remodeling a room and waiting for them to ship item to finish.

This company has the worse customer service I have ever experienced. Couldnt get through for a return of a mirror and finally contacted the CEO to get someone to pick it up. Now I have a floor lamp that arrived without the shade. They have a large variety of merchandise but much of it can be found on other sites that have a human answer when calling. This is my last time dealing with this company. My time is too valuable to be on hold for 45 minutes and still not getting anyone to answer the call. Poorly run company.

Ordered 2 bathroom lights from Shades of Light in May of 2018. After few weeks received an email saying that the item is on the back order till 7/23/2018. I liked the idea of these lights in my bathroom as now it became a design vision and so I decided to wait. I was disappointed that the back order part was not on the website at the time of purchase as I would of moved on to another awailable product .. but like I said I liked the photo of these lights and so I decided to deal with it.
Ok so it’s 8/4/2018...no email, no phonecall.. nothing..I hate to chase these bisinesses, no one has time for this!
This is another one of those Instagram commercials that gets you exited ....but what’s the excitement if it can’t be backed up with customer support ?
