I used to buy cheap, foldable umbrellas. They generally just do the job: keep me dry(ish) when walking through the rain. Every now and again, I replace them after one too many gusts. However, I have somehow managed to increasingly plan my daily walks to the train during stormy weather. As a result, I got fed up having to bin umbrellas and buying new ones, so I decided to up my budget and go for a storm resistant Senz. Is it what I expected? Nope… Granted, it keeps the rain off me like the others and I’m now way better equiped against the wind, but it does MORE than I expected. Press the button and it opens like a harpoon. Ok, still not really impressed. They more or less all tend to do that (albeit not as smooth, fast and confident as the Senz). But press the button again and it…..WHAT???, yep it closes automagically. WOW! Did it really? Yep, tried it again. Didn’t even expect that (I’m a man, didn’t read the manual; found it out by chance; and couldn’t even give a bleep about my right foot being soaked thanks to the lovely puddle I didn’t spot).
Anyhow: love my Senz. Does what it needs to do (and more), impecabble build quality, usually makes it not rain when I have it in my bag. Would I buy it again? O yeah! Honestly…I actually did not to long ago. Left it on the train (gutted) and felt lonely without it. I did change colours, though (still mourning a bit): Went from blue to black.
My advise: get one for yourself. You won’t regret it (and do that push to close thing every now and again; even when it doesn’t rain: guaranteed to make you smile ☺ )

The product looks good, well made etc. I bought the umbrella with a cover that keeps the user cool, i.e. the heat does not go through the cloth. I decided to try this product as I wanted an umbrella that could also be used in the summer as a sun screen. This umbrella seems to come only in a light grey/silver colour, which is what I got. The material reflects the light to a point that it is painful to look at in day light, almost like a mirror and there is no need for a sunny day for this to happen. This was not explained in the description of the product, which I find disappointing. Regarding the delivery, it was delayed by days with no explanation. Senz had no idea or made no attempt to really trace the parcel for me as the tracking facility did not explain the reason for the delay, not even the length of the delay. In my view, the whole communication and customer service aspect of the delivery was very poorly managed by Senz.

Got an Automatic Deluxe just over a month ago, used it a number of times already in different if somewhat mild weather conditions, nothing too extreme so far.
Love the build quality, the leather handle is very comfortable, no palm fatigue whatsoever even after prolonged walks. When inside, the canopy dries off very quickly, normally in a matter of 15-20 minutes, something that I haven't seen in any other umbrella before.
The canopy itself is a bit small compared to the other umbrellas I've used, but that's where the asymmetrical shape comes to play because you can align it with the wind in a way that still prevents the rain from getting underneath without causing too much of a sail effect. And even allows you to share the umbrella with someone else while the stick is still comfortably close to your body and not on a weirdly stretched-out arm.
Great product, totally worth the price, would easily recommend.

I have gotten An Original/Stick umbrella in Passion Red for both rainy & sunny days as a holiday present for Myself on 27th December 2016. Up to Now, it has been Working Well as Claimed, especially, considering using it in one of WINDY Cities around the Great Lakes! And some people around me either also decide to buy Senz° umbrellas or are interested in Senz° umbrellas after knowing how I enjoy my Senz° Baby!
The designs of Senz° products are a match made in heaven as Being Functional/Practical & Fashionable at the Same Time. But, the marketing does NOT match the quality of its products. Since My Passion Red Baby has been in GOOD shape, I have had no direct experience with its customer service. If its products were Le$$ Expen$ive, 5 stars would be the rating.
I also have finished Reading all the comments here to be surprised by the negative ones to Senz°. I even suspect if these people bought Genuine Senz° products ......

The customer service is the best I have experienced.
Having had replacement parts sent to me free of charge for my stick umbrella, and just today I have had a gift of a free Automatic umbrella that was a year out of warranty.
Their product is the best I have used, I live in the North West of the UK and their products are invaluable.
I recommend these to all my friends and family.
Senz will be the only umbrella I will ever buy.

Honestly, I would give no stars if I could.
The umbrella was rubbish in high winds which exactly why I purchased it due to their publicity. Then it broke after just a year of very light use. I was provided with a replacement which also broke after just over a year.
Naturally, I approached the company for a replacement as their products have a 2 year guarantee only to be told that they 'quite understand my disappointment' but as it was a replacement that had failed I was not entitled to a replacement as the original umbrella was purchased over two years ago so did not qualify for replacing.
After a lengthy email discussion with them, they failed to comprehend that regardless of the original purchase date I had a faulty umbrella supplied by them that had broken well within what anyone would understand as the guarantee period.
They insisted they would not supply a new one free of charge of add could only offer me a discount voucher to put towards a new purchase. I politely stated that as I had found the products to be of such bad quality and didn't live up to their publicity claims, I was unlikely to be interested in throwing more money at such a poor product even at a discounted price.
They even went as far as suggesting that I might be among the number of customers they said they had encountered who were just trying to get a new umbrella before the original guarantee period ended. OUTRAGEOUS.
I realised that I was banging my head against a wall with this kind of attitude to their customers so have given up trying to get satisfaction from them, and frankly, I hope no one buys anything from them again.
The only way I thought I could make my dissatisfaction with this appalling company was to write a review on here at least. Funnily I find many others here who advise to steer well clear of this company who hold their customers in such low regard and produce such substandard products.

We are on our 4th replacement, all of them having broken after 3-4 uses. This one broke today and I just cannot be bothered going through the hassle of trying to get it replaced again. By the way, we live in Sydney. Hardly the hurricane capital of the world and it still couldn’t withstand a bit of wind and rain !

Bad product with worse customer service.
The umbrella broke after light use in a little over a year, and they refused to give me full warranty.
The current company claims that they are not the same company from which I bought the product.
Their customer service person is patronizing.

I bought an umbrella on 2017 December 9th and in 5 days they did not send me confirmation that the item was dispatched, so I wrote them 10 or more letters in 10 days via all given public their emails, but received no answer. So, I called them and person on phone said they were not reading emails, he said they did not dispatch the item, because there was a mistake. I ask for cancellation and refund which we agreed, but is is 2018 01 05 and they are not answering me and not refunding. They are lying in everychance they get, e.g., ask you to wait for a call, but never call you back. I urgently advice everyone not to buy from senz.com and if you nare waiting for your item- immediately
open case in your bank/paypal resolution center or European Cosumer center, because it seems they are in a big crisis or just a fraud. Help yourself - don’t buy and don’t trust them.

I placed an order for 2 umbrellas on 27th Nov 2017. I never got a shipping notification so I emailed them on 13 Dec. No reply, so on 25 Dec I emailed again. No reply, so I messaged them on Facebook. Message was seen but no response, so I pointed that out, and finally someone replied on Facebook, basically saying this is not my business but I'll inform the sales team.
On the 29th Dec I finally got an email reply, saying that the order was never shipped because one of the items was out of stock. Apparently the shipping team decided not to inform anyone and not to take any remedy action. If I never tried to contact them multiple times, they would have taken my money and not done anything. Amazingly, the "customer care" staff member never actually apologise for the situation, but basically said, "someone didn't do his job, and I'm angry at that guy."
I was offered 3 options:
1) Voucher code with same value as OOS item.
Why a voucher code? Why not just replace it with an in-stock umbrella directly? I have to go through the order process and pay double shipping? Not to mention there's no umbrella that's as cheap as the one I ordered, so I have to top up further?
2) Issue a partial refund and send the one umbrella.
I ordered TWO umbrellas to save on shipping. I had no intention of paying the hefty shipping for one umbrella. Any refund I get on my credit card would also be less than what I paid, because of credit card and exchange fees.
3) Cancel the whole order and refund me in full.
Again, what I get back will be less. So I am to wait more than a month for two umbrellas only to get none and less money back, because of this horrible oversight by the vendor?
I was about to go to sleep when I saw this email come in on the phone, so I switched on my computer again to type a reply. Fascinatingly, when I awoke the next morning I still haven't gotten a response. Given the magnitude of this mess-up you would think they wouldn't be still dragging their feet on this.
Update: Finally got a reply after the new year break. They removed the options and will be refunding me. They think I'm getting the full refund, clearly not understanding the credit card overseas transaction fee and forex premium that are not recoverable. So yes, after botching my order, after making me wait more than a month for umbrellas that I needed before Christmas, they've made me pay for it.
Update 2: I got my refund, and as expected, I'm out $11. Showed them my credit card records but no more response from them. Tweeted CEO about this, no response.
