A little over a week ago (see earlier Trustpilot comment on Jan 3) I grew tired of making constant attempts to get clear answers from SH regarding our unpaid rent so decided to add my complaint to the growing list on Trustpilot. Within 48 hours I received your response on Trustpilot. Great we thought. After hours spent trying to make contact with our SH representative, following up on their empty promises and then leaving countless messages for you we believed we had the positive outcome we had hoped for.
WRONG! Your response that “Jeres husleje er bragt i orden” is just another empty promise. 7 DAYS LATER AND STILL NO RENT HAS BEEN TRANSFERRED TO OUR BANK ACCOUNT!
So simple that you can create the illusion for the readers of this forum that a positive outcome had been reached with us. What the readers don’t see in our situation but should be made aware of is:
1. SH/[name removed] does not respond to messages/emails. Over the past 3 weeks I have left numerous messages for you via your receptionist. I have also left further messages for you via your other employees. I have even left several messages directly on your mobile phone. In addition to these numerous messages for urgent assistance I have left messages for several of your employees. NOT ONE PHONE CALL HAS BEEN RETURNED! NOT ONE! This is just unimaginably unprofessional. [name removed] – I think this is the time that you pick up your phone and call me.
2. Since we entered into a new rental contract in September, the single and only part of the contract between us and SH that SH has upheld is the charging of their fees. SH has managed to take payment for their commission and administration program but no rent has been paid to us for November. The small part of December’s rent was not paid on time and was only paid after a lot of follow up by myself. And no level of customer service exists.
[name removed], now in January, our tenants are not sure who to pay their rent to and due to the current situation with previous unpaid rent from SH to us we have had to make changes to certain financial commitments we have with our bank, our insurer and Vejle Kommune. This is just not acceptable.
Recent time-line ==> as of today, Jan 12, we have spent over 4 weeks following up on our missing rent. This includes a handful of emails and 15-20 phone calls. My complaint on Trustpilot on 3 Jan was answered on 4 Jan by [name removed] advising that situation with the outstanding rent had been fixed. On 9 Jan the rent had still not been received so I contacted SH AGAIN. When neither [name removed], his assistant or our rep [Name removed] were available I spoke with [name removed] who could not confirm any details as the accountant was absent. On 10 Jan I received an email from [name removed] that due to a ‘tastefejl’ our rent had not been transferred correctly and that it would be transferred immediately to the correct account. Now, 12 Jan, the rent has still not been transferred.
[name removed], please contact me immediately by phone and advise exactly when the outstanding rent will be transferred.

The same as many have described here. Not going to repeat the same.
Delay after delay in getting the rent that the tenant paid on time.
Finally contract cancelled on the 31st of December. Sent a few reminders but no reply, besides acknowledgement of the cancellation.
Three months deposit need to be transferred.
Really hope to have this case closed asap.

I rented a flat from Scandia Housing from December 2010 until September 2012 with no particular problems and I was happy with their services up until then.
However, after I moved out, the problems started. Shortly after moving out, I asked them when I could expect my deposit back and was told that this would happen as soon as the final bill was ready. I was perfectly happy with this, as according to their website, in normal circumstances (which this is, as there has been no dispute) the deposit should be returned between 6-8 weeks after the move-out date:
"Depositumtilbagebetaling sker, under normale omstændigheder inden for 6-8 uger efter fraflytning da udlejer altid har en 2-4 ugers indsigelsesperiode, hvor denne kan rapportere eventuelle fejl og mangler på lejemålet."
On 7 November, I received the final bill stating the amount I would get back - again, there were no problems or dispute about this final amount. The letter said that the money would reach my account within three weeks and I was told to get in touch if it still hadn't within this timeframe.
On 3 December, I wrote to them asking what was happening with the deposit money, as it had now taken nearly a month and I was afraid that something had gone wrong with the transfer. I was told that the amount had been sent for transfer, and the person I was emailing with told me she would chase whoever was in charge of making/approving the actual transfer ([Name removed], I assume).
I then sent new emails on both 10 December and 17 December, again with the same reply and no action. We have also called during this same timeframe and spoke to the same person, with the same vague answer.
On 26 December, I wrote again asking for the name and number of the person in charge. I was told that it was [Name removed] and received his email address, but was told I could not be given a direct number.
I therefore wrote to him on 28 Dec and asked for the money to be deposited into my account by 4 January, which is - according to the information they themselves have on their website - nearly twice as long as the time it should take.
I got no reply, and wrote again on 2 January asking for them to confirm that my request is being looked into. This being the Christmas and new year period, I would have been more flexible if I had received an out-of-office reply, but seeing as the addressees appeared to be in the office, I would expect a reply.
Today, 8 January, I have still not received a reply - nor have I received my deposit back - and seeing as this is the only forum [Name removed] seems to care about, I am therefore sharing my complaint.
I am very disappointed with Scandia Housing, but judging by the many negative reviews on this site, I am not surprised. It seems that most reviews are from unhappy landlords, however my experience shows that this poor service is not only limited to them, but is also the case for tenants.

The field agents have acted professionally and have succeeded in finding tennants well, though the first tennants were a disaster, not paying rent due to bankruptcy. A senior member of Scandia housing, whom I guess I can't name hence my original message being censored, who I have had the enduring misfortune of dealing with, has provided the most appaling customer service, repeatedly failing to answer emails, lying about leaving messages on my telephone when he hasn't and the return of the deposit due to non payment of rent, took weeks. Because of him, I just wished that there were other agencies with the coverage of Scandia Housing who could provide a decent level of service. I cannot express strongly enough my disgust at his attitude and total lack of customer service.
I am now unable to get through on the switch board or the mobile numbers of any of the contacts that I have. Does anyone know what is going on???

Very good experience with field agent being very focused on customer needs and highly commited to our case. Quick replies and all the time very good to follow up. High degree of service level. The Scandia app is very good.

We have had a great experience with Scandia Housing - they have furnished our apartment rental in copenhagen. I was able to work with them to decide what type of furniture I wanted, and was more than impressed with the way the living space was styled. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Scandia Housing has very professional staffs who are efficient and friendly in handling my case, which was quite challenging as I was still abroad when I initiated the apartment hunting process. They were informative, cooperative and flexible in coordinating every aspects leading to the final success of contract signing and moving in. I really appreciate their effort and would definitely use their service again should I need one in the future!

The quality of service from Scandia Housing was top class. They responded to our requests in a speedy manner: They facilitated well and were reliable. All interactions with them were friendly and it was clear they valued us as a clients.
We felt that they were not just operating for the letting parties but also for us. They also out-performed similar agencies in Copenhagen.
Both in the field and in the office, the staff were efficient and thorough. They carried out everything that they said they would do, and we now rent an excellent apartment as a result.

I would recommend considering the variants proposed by Scandia Housing when looking for a quality housing in Copenhagen area. If you short on time it will be difficult to find something better yourself compare to the variants Scandia Housing normally have.
