If you live in Switzerland never buy from this website.
No only they don’t tell you that the goods are shipped from Sweden (although you buy from a xxx.ch website ) neither they clearly tell you that you have to send the goods to Sweden back in case you decide to send it back.
In addition, you have to call in Germany for support which by the way is very bad.
Finally, you receive the vat invoice from the transporter because the don’t send the goods from Switzerland.
It’s almost a scam.

My purchase from Royal Design has been a disaster from beginning to end and, unfortunately, is still not over yet. I ordered a Luceplan ceiling lamp AUD2,259 and Korbo stainless steel umbrella bin AUD232 on 2 July 2019. It took 2 months for the umbrella stand to be sent to me, since Royal Design does not split orders and only ships once all parts of the order are ready. Since the timeframe on the lamp was still changing even after 2 months (more on this below), Royal Design agreed to ship the umbrella stand to me separately: but not before completing the FedEx paperwork incorrectly resulting in FedEx charging me AUD476 on the AUD232 umbrella stand. Apparently I was charged fees and import taxes on both parts of the order, even though the largest part of it (ie the lamp) was not shipped. The charges were eventually reversed after I followed up twice, but the import clearance delay took almost 2 weeks to resolve. The big ticket item (being the Luceplan lamp) it still yet to arrive in its entirety, almost 3 months after I placed the order and paid for it. The website stated (and still states) that this product is “Shipped within 4-6 weeks” which I was happy to wait for since I loved the product. The delivery timeframe on this product was rescheduled no less than 5 times, not including the intervening weeks when I asked for updates. If you read the Terms & Conditions you will find of course that Royal Design says they cannot guarantee the delivery timeframe for items on back order, and the customer service team repeatedly rolled out this line of defence when questioned. They stated they could not influence the supplier’s delivery timeframe: to me this just indicates Royal Design cannot manage their suppliers effectively. As a “middle man” between supplier and customer, their sole function in the delivery supple chain is to expedite delivery! The fact that I was informed of these delays as each delivery date came and went via automated messages does not change the fact that the delivery timeframe that is advertised for the product is misleading and creates an expectation in customers. Had I known I would be here 3 months later and still waiting, I would never have ordered the lamp, no matter how much I loved it! Finally, on 20 September, the FedEx delivery of the lamp arrived. I was absolutely gutted and frustrated beyond belief to find that I had only been set the glass spheres and rods for the lamp and not the electrical wiring, ceiling rose, control unit, plug, LED module or AU adapter ie the electrics for the lamp. I advised customer service of the problem on 21 September and was told today (26 September, only after I enquired) that they cannot proceed with any action until their claims department has checked the case, and that they will provide more updates as soon as possible. But still no timeframe, so I still don’t have a useable lamp. You would think that after all the delays, they might ask their claims team to prioritise my complaint, but not so. This is just not acceptable, not just the poor customer service, but not legally, either. I can see that the only way it will be resolved is pursuing it via PayPal claim. Overall it’s been a stressful and disappointing experience which is not over yet. Never ever ever again!

Even if you send to store and need to return the package you have to pay for it. If you dont do it they'll debit 200kr. (?) is this 2001?
I bought and payed for something and wanted to cancel the order within 10min. no can do. So now I have to travel.. to pickup... and give the package back... and pay for giving it back :) ????????????

I have enjoyed several purchases from Royal Design. I have always been completely satisfied and the delivery has been very prompt.
I only order products which are in stock. The reason is based on other negative reviews about delivery etc.
