The system is great for our business! It is simple and easy to use and to learn, and if you do ever have an issue, such as setting up a new extension, the customer service team is excellent! You will get fast, friendly service with a side of humor, taking all your stress away while they fix the problem! I absolutely would recommend RingCentral to any business!

They really don't deserve one star. Trying to implement this "service" has taken over 10 hours of time on the phone with support. After the first 3+ hours I thought the phones were working. Come in Monday morning to find that the office phones are beeping incessantly and our salespersons phone is getting 4-5 calls per minute from RingCentral which go nowhere. After another 4.5 hours on with a very combative support person we got the office phones to work and got a very simple phone tree setup. 1 for sales, 2 to ring the office phone. Tested it worked. Yesterday. Today hitting 2 takes you to a Spanish Radio phone tree. This is like a phone virus. Worst company I have ever had the displeasure to work with in my life. They make AT&T support look good.

Your customer service is great - when we can get to it. Really don't have time to read/watch all those Guides and Videos and reach out to a community - it just should work...and if it doesn't we should be able to get to someone quickly - because that's what we're paying for.

Support staff are clueless. Very sales heavy organization. These guys will screw up your setup and leave you hanging with nothing but a long term contract. Much better off going with a smaller cloud PBX provider. These guys are too big to care.

I've received great support. Even at 3:30 AM. The system is very flexible. Learning it is ongoing but so is the support. Very glad I choose them. Each rep I've spoken to corrected my tweak or got me someone who could. I look forward to continuing my growth with this service while it helps to grow *my business.

We have had Ring Central since 2013. The first year was touch and go, mainly I see now by many factors. After the first year, having to close the account and reopen it, due to so many people trying all manner of remedies, we finally figured it out. Voice over IP had its challenges, at least in our area.
After the initial year, in which I felt like I too worked for Ring Central. I was on the right track. We worked out all of the issues preventing us from having the system we wanted.
Now, the staff I had and believe me, I worked with many, sometimes having a new person daily, were all very helpful. Not one lost their temper or sounded short with me. Each person tried something new, which did not always have good results, but their desire to succeed was strong.
To this day, when I have a question about anything, they are always accommodating and answer or fix it.
I am confused about some of the e-mails I read. Never have the staff been unpleasant or failed to resolve the issue.
Other than our 1st year, it has been a far better relationship than our cell carriers or land line carriers!

While I did not have anything to do with the purchase, I am the system administrator. That sounds fancy, but it means it's my project to work with on behalf of our and our contractor's staff. I have no IT experience and my job is as a high level Administrative Assistant. I absolutely love RingCentral! I wish they would offer the product outside of their business feature. The costs are affordable, but the biggest plus is the tremendous technical support. Call their customer service number or email them and they get back to you within a day or a few hours. No one else does that consistently. They are knowledgeable, and helpful, and have helped me find articles, learn the system, create reports, add users, call groups, IVR'S and more. I truly do not understand the negative reviews. One must have a reasonable amount of tech savvy and attention to detail, but doesn't have to be a rocket scientist to understand and use RingCentral.

This is an absolute crap product. Abysmal. Texting sometimes completely goes out. It just gives you an error that something is wrong(but does not say what) and it takes away the option to send a text. The only fix(in the chrome app add on) is to remove and reinstall the app to chrome.
Typing text messages to someone not all letters/words will type. Sometimes it omits several letters that have been typed or entire words or part of words which makes text messages unreadable and unprofessional. Sometimes the cursor jumps around in the text box so when typing so if I am adding text to a part of a message the cursor will jump to the end of the message, again making things unreadable and not professional.
The app on the phone, the website and the chrome add on do not sync contacts. So if I add a contact on the chrome app it will not automatically sync that contact to my phone. So you are constantly looking up phone numbers to figure out who you are texting/getting messages from.
Picture do NOT show up via the chrome app. It just shows as getting a blank message. You have to go to the website version of ring central to check the picture message. However the website is VERY cumbersome to use and is NOT user friendly.
Message forwarding does not work at all even though the function of it is on their website.
Their tech support is little to no help and many of the issues stated above have been ongoing for over a year(just google the problems for confirmation from other users). So it seems like they have little interest in making an actual quality working product.
It seems that they just lock people into contracts with the facade of a polished product with all these functions and then you get a twisted, sub-par version of what is promised.
Avoid this product and company at ALL costs.
P.S. In my own research it looks like this may have been a good company till 2016 but for some reason went downhill HARD. Not sure why but again, don't waste your time and money on this product and business.

Interesting to read about the service of other users. How sad to read bad experiences with Ring Central. V&S Maintenance and Remodeling / Water Damage and Restoration enjoys the service and is happy to be an active paying customer.
I think that even a client needs to learn to grow with a service and not just expect to be happy, thanks RC.

When the company first started it was decent, gave options that worked for my system, I use the fax once a year, but liked having a fax number.
Then the interface on computer did not function (I knew the Company changed) after three months of dealing with tech (I'M A TECH's TECH) I told them to cancel my account.
Had a medical problem ended up in hospital for 2 and a half years and found out they where charging me 400% a month on my credit card on UK phony calls a closed computer and no recourse.
They refused to refund the money, they just keep saying people called you, even that I payed for a fax line only, All where from the same server((I'm a TECH) This will be the third time canceling this account.

Ringcentral is an absolutely terrible company. They allow their sales people to lie to you about the capabilities of their system and when they can't deliver what they said they could they browbeat you with the contract they tricked you into signing. If you have ANY SENSE AT ALL find another company to use for your phone service. Their system is shoddy, glitchy, overpriced and most importantly, may or may not be able to work for your business use, YOU CANNOT TRUST WHAT THEY TELL YOU. THEY WILL LIE TO YOU TO GET YOU TO SIGN UP. DON'T DO IT. You can do better.
Just to Update: We have not connected by email as they indicated below. I sent their "wed love to help please email us at blah blah" email address an email hours and hours ago and no one has responded. So if you got the impression they jump in and help then their little boiler plate PR line below did its job. Don't be fooled.

I can't even begin to tell you the problems we've had since switching to Telus Business Connect (powered by RingCentral). I just hope that I can save one person, or business, from going through the hell that we've been experiencing over the past 7 months.
If you're thinking of switching, check out the reviews first, I doubt you will find any that are favorable.

Over charged my credit card for my Companies annual 888 # , after verbal dollar amount was agreed on via phone conversation. Out sourced to India and other countries.
Double the dollar value to there benefit.

Sales = they want your business, you should understand what your getting yourself into and someone with good vendor management skills should take that on. Yes, sales is going to tell you what you want to hear, can they deliver, well maybe. I'll let you know now not to rely on your sales rep for best results.
Support = better than all others I've had the experience of working with. Many of them come from other telecommunications companies and they shared in my experience how terrible the Windstreams are of the world. The fact that Windstream slowed my process down and dragged it out 4-5 months is insane. Now VOIP is not for everyone and certainly all those that have started working before having to use a soft phone on your computer will hate it. Why, because of change. Thankfully I can show the savings and combining of multiple services to management who welcomed the change. Therefore expect your employees to hate it, but eventually understand that's how all businesses will function if they haven't already.
Customer Service (online) = the absolute best thing about RingCentral is their online customer service. If you don't mind jumping onto instant message and getting step by step directions as well as them porting into your phone lines to assist, then you are going to have one of the easiest experiences I have ever had. Listen new processes and procedures take time to learn, if your willing. Their customer service reps each and every time solved my issue or completed my request because I knew what I was doing. Hands down the best!
In Summary, Sales is Sales.. expect to be let down. Do yourself a favor and take accountability and ownership to learn how your VOIP services work. Rely on Support and Customer Service to help get you there. By the end you will be the master of your phone system and services.

I am confused by all of the negative reviews! I have had a really excellent experience with RingCentral and I am a teeny tiny business. The set up was easy. My video conferences always work perfectly. The people I speak to have been from an overseas call center but they are really nice and helpful. I haven't tried to do anything overly complex yet but the calling, texting, and video features have all worked just like they are supposed to. Maybe people just don't take the time to write stuff unless they are angry.

While looking for a VoIP service provider to use for my business lines, I started to give up hope after seeing so many bad reviews for seemingly all of the main options.
First, I tried Nextiva, but both the phone service and the customer service were horrible. At one point people calling the business number were only hearing an error message 90% of the time, for over a month. Nextiva didn't take it seriously at all, and we had to cancel our service with them.
Earlier this year I opted to try RingCentral, and so far so good! It was easy to pick a custom number, the phone service has seemed pretty solid so far, and their customer service team has been amazingly helpful. Every time I've contacted support for anything, they were friendly, professional, communicative, patient, informative, and helpful. The app is also straightforward, reliable, and easy to use.
When a company I was working with previously closed, RingCentral went out of the way to give us a partial refund, even though legally they didn't have to.
Based on my experiences so far, I would highly recommend RingCentral to anyone.

AVOID! Don't be fooled by their Sales team... that's the only thing they invest in. Intermittent service then finally failed completely and months on, no resolution. If you like waiting for hours on hold with disinterested reps then be advised, Tech support is 3rd party and Customer Support is non existent. Worst company I have ever had the pleasure of wasting my time with and after dealing with BT in the past, I did not think that possible.

The customer service is beyond awful. If you do a trial period, you won't technically be able to log into your account to modify any billing info. I kept getting an error saying my account "didn't exist" when I clearly had just sent a fax.
Then when you call them, someone in India takes over 10 minutes to write a "case" on your situation, then transfer you to someone who wants to interview you for 45 minutes about why you want to cancel the damn service. THIS SHOULD TAKE THE CLICK OF A BUTTON. This company is actively trying to scam their customers into giving them more money against their will.
