I had my Stem Cell procedure done on May 2019 in Atlanta. The consultation was great. The orthopedic did a in-depth examination of my knee along with reviewing my MRI images. The process of a stem cell injection includes a pre-injection(2 days before) of prolotherapy and post-injection(2 days after) of PRP. It has been almost 5 months since my stem cell injection and my knee doesn’t feel any better. It’s a expensive procedure. I got my lateral meniscus partially removed and I was hoping stem cells would give me relief. I believe stem cells work for some but not all. It didn’t work for me unfortunately just like my surgery didn’t either. On a side note, I have noticed lots of fake reviews. Makes me question Regenexx true intentions which is $$$.

mri shows three bulging discs. had prp
therapy completed and the pain was eliminated for two weeks. back to pain level 9. appears the success rate for prp for disc problems is minimal at best. extremely expensive for benefit received. larry fuller

I had great pain relief in my L knee for approximately 5 months. I think my joint inflammation after time destroyed my stem cells. Whatever destructive process caused my bone on bone arthritis, persisted. I think the key is to decrease the inflammation prior to the stem cell therapy. I don't think more stem cells will be helpful. I still think that it was worth trying initially

One of the best decisions I ever made.
My knee is not at 100%, but Dr Shah never said it would be, he said 75 - 85 %. Thats what it is.
I can't walk the 20 - 25 miles I used to do, but i can do 7.5.
Ride my bike as much as I want, and Ski.

Very compassionate and thorough. I've heard of other places that do it faster than the 3-day procedure, but this method just seems to make more sense.....and uses your own stem cell instead of frozen stem cells from some place else.

The staff is professional and attentive. It was a good treatment experience, but, ultimately, the results were marginal for stem cell treatments in both knees and one foot, and PRP treatments in my lower back. Osteoarthritis symptoms are as acute as ever in my knees 10 months after treatment. The physician wanted to pursue more treatments, but I’d already spent $12,000 with incremental results.

Everyone is professional and knowledgeable at the facility I used. My first procedure (PRP) lasted about 5 months. I then tried stem cell on both knees. It only lasted 3-4 months.
I am back to worse symptons than when I started.
I feel that the 3mo/6mo/and 1yr checkups are a waist of time as nothing was looked at or anything done except ask how I was feeling.
Because of my outcome and the LARGE amount of money I spent to try and have less pain I would not recommend this path of treatment. I am now back to hyaluronic acid shots with better response than the stem cell!! and no cost to me!!

Excellent and caring staff. Dr Shah listens and treats only those whom he thinks he can help. He is not a taker, but rather a giver. Very good experience and treatment for my meniscus tears. Regina

I love the fact that my knees are doing so great without having to have them surgery! I recommend them to everyone who is having knee problems or pain should seriously checkout Centeno Shultz.

My Platelet Rich Plasma Treatment on my elbow and shoulder successfully solved my pain and movement problem. The patented methods they use to process my blood for re-injection give them 8 times the healing power of the simple bedside centrifuge PRP method used by other clinics.

Enjoyed the knowledge and expertise of the Regenexx staff. My son's knee has returned to full strength allowing him to be an active 16 year-old. Without stem cell and prolotherapy he wouldn't be playing sports this year.

I was very pleased with my stem cell procedures - on both knees! I was able to do some easy skiing about 4 months post-procedure. I had a few minor twinges in different places in my knees, but NOT in the spots that had previously been very painful. I was so impressed!

It appears to have worked. It took almost a year, as they said. Would I do it again, yes. Worth the cost, yes. Better than surgery! Still have some pain occasionally but not like before.

I had multiple meniscus tears and a full thickness femoral condyle tear in my knee. My shoulder had a 3/4 tear in the infraspinatus tendon of the rotater cuff. I had severe pain in both joints. Surgeon got out his scheduling book for the shoulder repair and said I would need a new knee in a few years. Dr. Markle worked on both, stem cells in the knee and PRP in the shoulder. 1 year later I feel great and both joints are strong. It is the best money I've ever spent. I'm 58 and ready for this ski season ...

If you are considering PRP or Stem Cell Therapy you should try to contact a Regenexx partner. They are professional, honest, and have the most experience in the USA or Canada. We have dealt with Dr. Fenton in Winooski Vermont and Dr. Centeno in the Cayman Islands (also in Broomfield Colorado). They have pioneered regenerative medicine and share a lot of that experience on their website. Please check out their website (regenexx.com) and get a free copy of Dr. Centeno's book.

I had PRP injections in my lower back for a 3-4 disc tear and 4-5 bulging disc. The injections did not cure the problem but I definitely got relief for the last 8 months. The change I noticed the most was, if I set off my back symptoms by overdoing it, my symptoms went away the next day after a nights sleep. I did not need to take any non-steroidal medication. My symptoms are coming back again and I am back to taking the non-steroidals. I would like to try the stem cell injections but the cost is prohibited. I applaud Regenexx for making this available. I would love to go down to the out of country facility where they are doing stem cell expansion and Biasing and be treated there. This will probable be the cure some day.

I have been walking on my repaired knee now for 9 months. I have had no pain in either knee (1 w/stem cells & 1 w/Platelet Rich Plasma) and I am planning on stem cell for the other one this winter. I'm also looking at getting my shoulder done in the following year. Best thing I ever did!

The PRP injection I received at Regenexx was one of the best things I ever did for my shoulder. I was dealing with 7-9 out of 10 pain daily. I have dealt with the pain in my shoulder for 20 years. After the injection and the PT I was prescribed to help me heal, I have been pretty much pain free for almost a year. The procedure was a breeze, the office and all personnel at Regenexx where wonderful.

Quality facility, very friendly and accommodating staff, runs with a refined and efficient process. Regenexx-C in Grand Cayman is the only facility with the lab capability and approval from the government to culture the stem cells and cryopreserve them for injection at a time of your choosing. Being older than the average bear I was fortunate to have a high stem cell yield, so much that I chose to return 8 months later after the first injections in early November for a second round of injections of both knees and shoulders. The remaining cryopreserved stem cells made it an easy decision. After a lifetime of sports injuries and surgeries, I didn't want to take the risk of scarring, cut nerves, surgical failures, and infections, and the inconvenience of weeks of immobilization, again. Dr. Ben Newton told me it would not make my joints like they were when I was 18, but it would promote more natural healing without cutting. I am now finishing week 4 since my last injection. I can walk and have full range of motion with limitations in what I try to do according to a prescribed schedule of gradual exercise. Otherwise, I'm pain free unless I get careless or overconfident.
