Terrible customer service experience. I tried to return 2 items. Decaffeinated coffee (to exchange for regular), and a 12 pack of Seltzers purchased in error. I was informed that they were not giving refunds or doing exchanges due to Coronavirus concerns. I asked if they discard the tens of thousands of items picked up by customers and returned to the shelf?? I don't think so. How about items a customer may cough or sneeze on?? No way again. Wouldn't profit off that policy!! What a pathetic policy! Cost them a customer here and I hope many more!

I once worked for a direct marketing company where I visited many Publix stores to Demo food items that people buy and consume from Publix. Please know I quit the job I was not fired. I tell you this because my reviews will get nasty and I do not want you to think I am disgruntled, but I am.Here is my story. I was tasked to Demo a Locatelli Cheese in Publix on a certain Sunday Morning. Normally I am to call the particular Publix to make sure they had the stock of the item so I can do the Demo. I loved selling out the stock they would have. I am a Fashion Designer, so I dress well whenever I leave my front door.Well, I called that Publix and could not get the Deli people to talk to me straight about the Locatelli cheese stock. I thought I might drive to the location and do a face to face. This drive is a 45 minute in the sin city that is Miami, from my house. I was only being paid $54.00 for the whole 4-hour job, but to set up and execute the job actually took about 6 hours. You do the math on how much I got per hour, not including gas, car, and clothes. When I first arrived at the Store at 1920 West Avenue Store #621. I went to the Deli asking for the Manager, out came this Haitian young lady and Identified herself as the person with whom I needed to speak.I introduced myself and informed her that I have a demo scheduled for the next Sunday and I am asking if she can order enough of the Locatelli for me to sell out and to demo. I like selling so much, but it is important to note I am not being paid to sell.I gave the worker 7 clear days to order the stuff. On that particular morning. I arrived dressed to the teeth as far as a server could look, a white clean tux shirt, the kind with the kick up colour, a nifty black bow tie, a sporty stretch black pants and a black Swede shoes by Clarks.I wanted this Demo to be really good for me because I had told this lady I am courting that I would be there and I asked her to visit me while I was on the job. I thought if anything I might get lucky later that evening when we had a date planned.I arrived at 9.30 am a whole 30 mins early to set up and make this Demo work I was so excited to do this. I arrived at the Deli and said good morning to this Haitian lady who was cutting up something behind a hidden counter, I said "Hi Can I speak to the Manager Please?", Gosh, this ugly lady yelled at me in the instant, so early in the morning, " you need a hair net" I thought to myself but wait I am not in the work area and I am not serving food yet, what the hell?Out came the Manager. she recognised me and I said good morning and I came to do the demo. She told me the Truck was outside and "the Locatelli cheese was being separated".In her next breath, she informed me that I am to Demo another cheese, not the Locatelli. I did not understand yet what was to take place.Anyways I purchased a bag of Ice and went upstairs to fetch my setup to execute my Demo.At some point, before 10 am, which is my start time, the worker manager sent this other Haitian lady over to deliver to me a sample of Cheese, on a cracker with some marmalade, on a cracker with some cheese.I was confused, the Haitian lady was very repulsive, in the manner when she handled me as a professional, she began to move my display on my table to accommodate her display samples. I became very aggravated again.I began to understand that I was not going to sample the cheese I was contracted to sample, by an independent company, who were the people who paid me.PUBLIX WANTED ME TO WORK FOR FREE.PUBLIX WANTED ANOTHER COMPANY TO PAY ME AND I MUST WORK FOR PUBLIX FOR ME.I CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW FURIOUS I BECAME.At some point I was presented with a case of the very cheese I was to sample, but there seemed to be 12 in the case, so and according to the rules of my engagement I was not permitted to do the Demo, based on the fact there was insufficient stock. Then came this Causation lady with a latent Southern Accent, who introduced herself as the actual Manager of the whole Deli, I told her I came a week in advance and that I did not have the stock so I cannot do the demo. I gave her my papers to sign me out, she said she will tell my company that I did not want to work and that she will write me up.I was not bothered with that.At some point, I confronted the ugly Haitian lady who yelled at me on the onset and I told her she has no right to treat her associates in such a contemptuous and ugly manner. She looked at me as a Deer would look at an oncoming truck in the dark.At this point, I was being singled out by the whole Haitian clan who are the workers running this particular Deli. This Deli is a disgusting place if you knew what happens in the unseen areas you will never eat there. Mr Martinez kept those bad minded workers at bay, but he left, and in Came this Cuban monster his name is Mike Perez. The new ASM.OMG, I am in shock, at some point I called my date, while I was pacing the sidewalk in anguish that I will not get this Demo.I spoke to GF, she said, she and her Girlfriend were en route to see me at the Publix, oh Gawd I was mortified. My losses were great I lost 2 ladies and a Demo in one morning, plus $50.00 what else could go wrong? But it did, something else went very wrong. I did not know it yet.First I had to stop my Girlfriend and her GF from coming over, and I can tell you that was truly unconformable. At that Point, I knew Publix had it coming. I was going to give it to them good.I am writing this as payback, having lost the chance to impress two ladies and maybe get lucky later.Anyways, I abandoned my position at the store because I had to do a quick meetup at the corner coffee shop with these two hotties. This meeting was going to happen in the Publix when I was going to give these ladies a sample of some nice fresh cheese and my master kindness in my cool clothes, but no! the Deli monsters ruined all that for me, can you blame me for writing this concise report?I could not let this one go but it gets better, sorry worst. My GF is an attorney, and her GF is also a litigator, we talked shop and I paid for the bill a $45.00 with the tip after all this is Sin City.I went back to the store at 1 pm or so, up came the manager of the store. By Mike Perez, ASM, he pointed to the camera above my position. I am breaking down my stuff and handing him my papers again to sign me out, he said you have not worked. I said you did not have the stock. He said I have a camera above you. I am thinking of two hotties, in a white bed and pink.He said, "I am signing you out and reporting you". I thought gosh I lost those two lovelies because of this ugly looking short man. Life is hell in South Florida.I am breaking down my display and taking pictures, all the while thing of the ladies. He grabs my paper from the table and prances off to his office, in rage. I could care less.Eventually, I went to his office to fetch my worthless paper, because I already knew I was leaving this nasty job, and I never wanted to work for a Publix again. I became tired of seeing filthy kitchens, dealing with ignorant unfriendly staff and making myself miserable for little money, plus I lost two women over a few blocks of Locatelli Cheese.Turns out as I realised when the Southern Accented manager told me she knows me and she did not want me to compete with the cheese Publix they are selling so much of. I was unconcerned about all of that as I am being paid $50.00 to show some kindness, meet some people and serve something that people liked to taste. The only cheese I have any interest in is another.During the office meeting with Mr Monster Manager Mike Perez. I was telling him that I do not work for free, and at some point, I told him I will litigate him, the Dude called Security in that instant, this security is a Haitian man who most likely did not pass GED but has a gun, in a food store and I thought oh gawd I will need my GF now to get me out of the $#*! that may happen next.At some point the lady manager got really ugly in that small office, with enough space for 2 chairs a PC dest and me standing, she said my shirt was dirty, ugly and too big.All in all the Publix people encouraged me and wanted me to defraud the company who hired me, they wanted me to work for free, they told me my clothes were dirty and ugly, and they called security for me all because I refused to work for free. This story did not end here but I will update it at another time. I have been writing since 7.05am and its now 9.30am. I have a meeting on the beach at 10.30.

Our Publix is undergoing a remodel and will be out of commission for about a year. We traveled to a Publix in another area and received such great customer service. They welcomed us to the store and provided the same great customer service Publix is known for. Thank you!

I love the BOGO's at Publix, however, over the past year I have returned several gallons of milk and half and half that went bad way before their expiration date. I have never had this happen with other milk or cream. When I finally notified Publlix corp about it their lame answer was pretty much sorry just take it back for refund. I had done that several times and don't really have the time to keep running back there because of their poor storage system. So, for not on, I'm shopping at Aldi, Winn Dixie and Sav A Lot, have never had a problem with theirs. Must be nice to have so much business you don't care about your customers.

Took forever on this site just getting an order together. Finally get it together; put all pertinent info in; put cc on site - order.
The order NEVER WENT THROUGH! NO CONFIRMATION! NO ORDER NUMBER. Call Publix. They have no clue. Call this dopey company. Duuuuhhhhh.
Email this company (try to). Hit send. 'Send' doesn't work.
This was a $400 order for a family in need. I alerted them "Food is on the way". Nada!!
Don't ever ever use them. I have called them; emailed them (hahahaha). The entire process is a huge waste of time.
Shame on a company like Publix putting up with this as their food deliver representative. Horrendous doesn't even begin to say just how bad this experience was. I put an alert into my credit card company make sure that these idiots don't charge me over $400 FOR NO GROCERY DELIVERY!!

My most favorite grocery store choosing Instacart for their grocery delivery will never EVER make sense.
Instacart has the worst customer service that uses automated computer generated responses, they charge ridiculous service fees of almost 10% but advertise "free delivery for orders over $35", zero of the service fees charged are given to drivers so tips are an additional charge and they mark up prices on all items ordered.
I usually order Publix delivery and spend between $200-300 on the marked up items for our office about every week to two weeks. Never fails 6-10 items are not available while the shopper is shopping. The refund from the original charge or a reduced service fee never happens.
The shoppers/delivery drivers are always pleasant and professional which I am certain is a Publix requirement and I always tip the shoppers very well.
Instacart is shady and cheap...kind of like that feeling you get when you walk into a low end grocery store. What were you thinking Publix? Your stellar reputation will be ruined if you do not find another option for your grocery delivery.
Read the instacart reviews and make a change.

Avoid the deli! Avoid the deli! Incompetence, poor management makes this department the worst I have ever experienced. The old saying is three is the charm, not here, maybe 4!
I ordered a sandwich at 7:30 PM and my pick up was for 8:05 AM. When I arrived, my sandwich that was made to my liking wasn't ready or even started. The blond manager apologized and offered me a ready made, I was so insulted, really? This is just not how you make a disappointed customer happy. Ready made? Publix, get that job posting done ASAP! This was the same manager that told me to order online for faster service. 3 of 4 times I ordered, my order was 15 minutes late or done incorrectly or not done at all.
The deli competence is so sad, and I feel bad about how incompetent they really are. The problem is all about poor leadership.
Sorry Cornerstone, you need people who are consistent and get it right the first time. Deli is snail slow!!!

As far as grocery stores go, Publix is top notch. Whoever does their displays and trains their associates, does a great job. Clean, well lit, and good selections. They are friendly and will walk you to the item you are looking for? Service is super!
Is that why they call it a SUPER MARKET?

Same old story, said it before. Live on Harbour Island, Publix Bayshore is the only food store close. Filthy (literally) Deli Dept. (look at the slicers, and on the floor), Managers walking around talking and doing nothing, soups are empty, Deli has a "ticket" dispenser and the "now serving" doodad is never used.
The managers wait (if they're not outside having a smoke) until there are customers 6 deep before they open another two registers.

I was at this Publix located at 2015 Edgewater Drive Orlando, FL 32804 ,Store #659 on September 1st at approximately 12:30 PM, I asked the guy in the meat department about buying Turkey meat without antibiotics, he pointed me to some ground Turkey and he also said that they were on sale. So purchased two packages of the meats. After paying for the meats and other things I noticed I was charged the regular price. I took the meat along with my receipt to the customer service counter and the store manager name Patrick told me that I wasn't supposed to be in this store because I was escorted from the store by a police officer because he said I came into the store drunk with alcohol on my breath and I also spit on him. I told him that I never talk with him before and I certainly don't drink alcohol and I have never spit on anyone. I told him he mistaken me with someone else and he told me I was lying and I had to leave the store. I reported this to Publix public relations and I also called the local police department. The police ran my driver license and told me that they couldn't find a problem and I asked them what could I do. They told me that I could file a civil suit against Publix. I am going to see what the district manager have to say and if this matter is not resolved I will file a civil suit against Publix. I spent over 21 years in the Army and I am currently in college and I have never been humiliated in my life. A week later the district manager called me and said he had to talk with the manager and he would get back to me in a couple days. The district manager called me back and apologized for the store managers behavior and said that the store manager made a mistake. I told the district manager that he don't speak for the store manager because if the store manager discriminate against people because of my race or the store manager stereotypes because people are black then not only does the store manager has a issues but Publix Super Markets has a problem because they continue to allow this store manager to work at their stores which promote discrimination against people of color.

Always go into Publix for their high quality meats, large supply of FRESH fruits and vegetables, and of course their bogo free deals. Their staff is always professional and knowledgable as well as courteous. But now I have an even more important reason to shop Publix. It was a Saturday afternoon and I was buying select items from Publix. Great experience as always. Leaving Publix to go to walmart for a few non-grocery items, plus a few grocery items that walmart has at a lower cost, when I noticed in Publix parking lot that I had a flat tire. I have a handicap that is not very noticeable to people if at all, but I can't change my tire. I went back into the store to ask at the service desk for the name of a service station or wrecker that I could get to change my tire. The young man informed me that he was going into the back to ask his manager. When he returned he informed me that his manager would be with me shortly when a man in suit, tie and white shirt came up beside me and asked to see my vehicle. After getting outside he removed his suit jacket, slung his tie around to his back asked me where my spare and jack was at. He said it was the first tire he has changed in over 15 years. I was, and am still, astonished. I'm 58 years old and seen most everything, but never anything like this. To top it off it was quitting time for him and he would not take any pay, or tip, at all. The gentleman's name is Wesley Griffin and this all happened at Publix store #0608 in Carrollton, Ga. Needless to say, I didn't go to Walmart for the few grocery items left on my list, but marched right back into Publix for the remainder of my list. I've always had a high regard for Publix but now it's reinforced. *******@yahoo.com

the "ULTRA-PASTURIZED non-dairy COFFEE CREAMER" should not be labeled non-dairy. It contains milk ingredients as noted on the side of the carton. It can cause much discomfort to lactose intolerant users as it did to me as I did not see the notice on the side. I took it off the shelf believing the "non-dairy" name. How it can claim "lactose free" and contain milk ingredients I don't understand.
