Extremely shady billing practices from…Extremely shady billing practices from what could be a great product. Ordered for 2 months. After the first month I called to cancel after my two months was up because the product worked wonderfully for me. Yesterday I received confirmation for my next order. I called today to say I cancelled but they already billed me an extra $500 and couldn’t stop shipment. Rude, horrible customer service. Will never order again. Shame! I was on Nutrisystem for 4 monthsI was on Nutrisystem for 4 months. The only plan with food that taste good is the most expensive, uniquely yours max +. I NEEDED a break. I was tired of the food choices and my glucose level was higher than normal from being on a few rounds of prednisone. My nutritionist wanted me on protein and veggies only. I WAS PLANNING to go back on Nutrisystem in 3 months until I tried to cancel. It was a nightmare. I was limited on time and Sash (unsure of spelling) just kept giving me the run around even when I mentioned that I was planning on starting back in a few months. What a nightmare. Nurisystem Alternative PlanI've been on the Nutrisystem Plan 2 times since 1984. I just decided a month ago I needed to do it again. I found the Wellina Plan for $199.99 a month so decided to give it a try since it was very affordable. I just finished my 1st month yesterday. The Wellina plan is the same as Nutrisystem with the Nutrisystem foods but doesn't include frozen foods which is fine with me. I find the food very good but that's just me I guess. I get 20 days of breakfast, lunch, dinner & snacks each month and am on my own for the other 2 days a week which allows me to practice on controlling myself after I reach my goal. I pick my foods every month~~it has more limited choices than the Nutrisystem Plan has but that's ok. Being familiar with the foods I already know which ones I like so it makes it easier. I've always liked the Nutrisystem foods so I will be sticking with Wellina until I reach my goal and if they offer a plan to get periodic deliveries every few months I'll also do that to help me keep myself on track after I reach my goal weight. Do Not Sign Up for 3 monthsThe system "works" and if you follow it faithfully you might succeed. A member of my family did. However, do NOT pay for anything using their "up front three month save some money' pitch . After plunking down a thousand for three months, my family member developed allergic reaction to some ingredient and her doctor ordered her to cease. We assumed liability for what was sent and consumed. What you do not tell you is you won't get anything else refunded even if you have not received it. After countless phone calls and emails, they refunded just $400. "That's our policy" was the response. My advice is look to other high protein/low carb systems. The food was goodThe food was good, but did not receive the shakes and to call the customer service was challenging in itself. Never got the shakes even though I see an open order for them. They also warn you at the beginning of the call since I am in California that have to tell of the Prop 65 that makes them reveal some chemicals in the package or food cause cancer..... I canceled my upcoming orders. Update: 10/28/22 Was contacted by Nutrisystem with a very nice explanation and they looked into my orders which are now being shipped. Nutrisystem does work I've lost 20lbs…Nutrisystem does work I've lost 20lbs since I've started in Feb 2022 and it's April 8th 2022 but that's not what I want to talk about, the customer service staff is fantastic. Recently there was a mistake with my order when I called I spoke with a wonderful member named Kaitlyn she was so kind and understanding it was a real pleasure dealing with her. She corrected the mistake and took care of all my needs it was the most wonderful experience I've ever had with a customer service person so thumbs up to Kaitlyn and nutrisystem. How I rate NutrisystemI have lost 40 lbs and I just want to say most of the food is delicious there are are few I would not reorder...just tried the teriyaki chicken/ noodles that is definitely a reorder item..this is my 3 or 4th time with Nutrisystem and I am definitely pleased with it..the chicken enchiladas and the stuffed shells are horrible wish you could improve them..way too much on the stuffed shells and the sauce tastes terrible the chicken enchiladas just down right nasty 🤮 other than that I will give Nutrisystem a 4 1/2 rating.
