Rude staff and unfair charges for overweight in hand luggage. Had to pay a ridiculous price for two extra kilos of taxfree goods. Really unsatisfied with the service. Will choose whatever other airline available when possible.

I would not fly Norwegian with a family now.
It saddens me to write this review because Norwegian used to be brilliant. I know their financial problems are well documented and an article in the inflight magazine said they would have to start making tough choices.
However we had a very poor experience travelling with the family through Oslo airport. Including not being allowed to take a small buggy with us to the gate. Then after queues and more queues for oversize luggage, we the. Had to pay for special Norwegian thin plastic bags to put our buggy in.
It is a shame how quickly they have changed. The airport check in staff recommended that we fly BA or SAS if they we were travelling with a family.

Narrow Seats / Beverages for a charge / Overweight Baggage / Delay
The only thing that stood out was free wifi access.
During the boarding procedure every item of the passengers were checked and charged €75,- for minimal overweight (max. 10kg total weight)
During the flight even water was charged a fee.
The room between seats was very narrow for a 185cm tall person.
Plus: Because every single piece of luggage of every passenger had to be weighted the departure was delayed for 45min.

We had the worst experience with Norwegian!!! After my wife and daughter had two very positive experiences with Norwegian, my wife and I decided to book a trip from Newark to Rome for our vacation. We booked low fair plus since base on their experiences with the airline, the sits were comfortable, the entertainment decent, and we could chose our seats
A few days before the trip we were notify that the plane was changed to Euro Atlantic. They move our seats and placed my wife and I in separate places of the plane. my wife called and after a long hold over the phone (over one hour) she contacted a representative who placed us on seats 2A and 2B.
The day of our trip to Rome we checked our reservation and they changed our seats again and place is again in separate places on the plane. Remember we did pay to select our sits but this did not matter, we were assigned sits without our consent.
Once we got into the plane from Euro Atlantic we found a substandard airplane in terms of comfort. Extremely tight space, no entertainment, no electrical outlets to charge your devices, the food was horrible and the flight attendance were extremely unpleasant. This was by far the worst flight experience I have ever had!
As we plan to travel back home, we were notified that they cancelled our flight. We were on hold for over two hours with Norwegian with no success. Finally as we were trying to book another airline to get back home, Norwegian re stated the flight under Euro Atlantic, the nightmare airline! Norwegian again changed our sits and booked my wife and I separate as they did in the flight to Rome. Mind you we spent a day of our Rome vacations dealing with all the airline fiascos.
I would not EVER recommend Norwegian Airlines to anyone do to their unreliability, unexpected changes, poor choice of airline to sublet their flights, and poor customer service since we have not YET been able to reach anyone from Norwegian.
Worst flight I have had. We purchased Low Fare Plus, which gave us the option to select our sits and meal selection.
Norwegian sublet the flight to Euro Atlantic. They assigned new sits and they booked my wife and I on separate sits (even though we paid for the right to select the sits), the leg room was extremely tight, there was no in flight entertainment, no electrical outlets to charge your own devices, these plains don't even have a pouch in front of you to place your personal belongings (I have never seen commercial airplanes without it...), the meal was provided to everyone, so there was no need for us to have paid additional for the meal, the meal was horrible and the crew was rude. By far the worst airline I have flown international or domestic.
Now we received a notice that the return-flight was canceled. After spending several hours trying to get in touch with a Norwegian representative with no luck, we spend an additional couple of hours trying to get another flight with a different airline, (waisting a day from our vacation time in Rome) Norwegian sent another message that the flight was reinstated but with Euro Atlantic! The nightmare airline!
Please DO NOT book any flights with Norwegian! They are absolutely unreliable and the service and comfort level provided the worst!

Had an excellent flight from Madrid to Boston on 26th September. Upgraded to premium, had lots of room and great service from the crew, very attentive and friendly. Only downside was I thought the food was poor.

Worst experience of my life! Worst customer service ever and it seemed that the pilot was just learning how to balance an airplane for the first time and it would not surprise me if this was actually his first time flying. And again, WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. I would talk to them and they would not even answer, they made my boyfriend remove the laptop from his backpack and put it up without any protection and no matter how many times we tried to make them understand that laptops can be easily damaged when not in protective cover, they were simply not listening and replied that they will simply put a jacket over it to protect it. What is that? Have they never seen a laptop before? Don't they know how fragile they are?

Great experience - LGW to Malaga return. Busy flight but clean plane, generous seat pitch ( I am 6ft) and WiFi worked well.
Flights on time.
On return my boys had chance to have photo In cockpit.
Will use again

Awful experience. My sister got bedbugs from their filthy plane and they served us food with hair in it. The check in process was completely disorganized. They let everyone that had a flight before us cut the line because they were so behind in checking people in—-I’ve never seen a line that long for a check in. To top everything thing off, they lost my luggage and did not receive it until 4 days later. They were also extremely difficult to get in touch with to discuss the location of my luggage. You literally could not pay me to take this filthy flight, with some of the most hateful check in employees I’ve ever seen, again.

On our way back from to UK from Antalya we were faced with unimaginable service including racism and made to feel inferior.
We were denied boarding at Oslo airport having already waited all night there with 3 young kids. We were made to pay again triple the price of our original ticket.
We were made to waste time in queue by advising us to go to 3 different counters and then finally told we are 10 mins late to check in for a flight that still has over an hour to go.
We in our entire life have ever heard of or faced anything of such nature.
We were left in tears in front of our young kids. Who are still recovering from our 24 hour ordeal.

While i have flown with them a number of times, this time they changed or cancelled my flight 3 times prior to departure because of the Boeing 737 Max grounding issue.
Before I arrived at the airport I started receiving SMS' at noon saying the flight would be delayed. After MANY pushings back, they eventually cancelled the flight at 3AM - so this was AT LEAST 15 hours after they knew they had issues!! Travelling with young kids this is far from ideal.
I know and respect that airlines have problems, but the way they treated everyone felt terrible. The poor staff from Menzies (the ground management company) had to get security because people were so annoyed at the treatment.
When i tried to claim under EU regulations (EU Regulation 261/2004) they then blamed the Boeing 737 Max groundings for the issue and refused compensation. This was an old issue and they had already rescheduled and rebooked everyone - so how can they continue to use this excuse? I am approx 1000 Euros out of pocket rebooking.
Will avoid whereever possible this airline in the future.

Flew this for the first time from London to New York. WORST AIRLINE EVER. I had to stand in the line three separate times to not get overcharged 90 pounds because they not only wanted to weight the carryon but they made me put up my purse for weighing! Think about this now—items like a wallet that may be heavier with change, a powerbank charger, etc that might be in a travelers purse will automatically make it weigh more. I was shocked. This is supposed to be a national airline. It’s not even a discount carrier. Even Ryan air never asked me to weigh my purse. Then they put this little tag on your carryon that says “approved cabin baggage” so that if you’re only bringing a carryon and can bypass the desk (I had checked bags so I had to go to the desk), they can try to weigh people at the gate. Then even when I got to the gate the guy is like “let me see your purse”—terrible. I’m not sure how desperate these people could possibly be, such that they have to weigh purses and lap top bags, etc but I will not be flying them and have already tipped off friends and relatives that haven’t flown them before. They too think this is outrageous and said they’ll be avoiding Norwegian. I hope they lose enough business over this kind of stuff to make an impact. Don’t waste you time or your money with them. In the end I didn’t get overcharged but the threat should never have even been there.

Had high expectations. All the advertisement of innovative strategy and new planes. Booked flights for me my wife and 3 weeks old baby. Did the checkin at the desk (so they assigned our seats). Needless to say, we had the baby in thr booking and the person in the desk clearly saw the baby. Boarded the plane only to find out we had not been assigned the seats at the bathroom wall where the baby bed is mounted. Ours was the only baby on board. When asked the hostesses why, they said you have to get these seats to ise the baby bed, and it was the responsability of the desk employee to do it. But they promised to arrange something. Not only they didn't, but in seven hours of flight they never evem passed to ask whether we were ok with the baby. Do these people hate babies? Honestly the rudest flight attendants we've met.
We thought we would be given the baby bed and seats by default. In no moment of time, either during the booking online or at the chexkin desk, were we offered those seats, for free or for a fee. So they just threw us at some random seats and kept the baby bed in storage for no apparent reason.
I've continuously read norwegian is close to failure. I swear I am a positive person, but I confess I won't be sorry to see them go.
And all the fuss about the dreamliners; thin cushions and narrow seats. But yey, thr window is larger and has a cool dimming effect.

We thought we got a great deal buy booking with this airline. Little did we know it would end up being a nightmare! The total we paid out of pocket at the airport was $435 so be prepared to pay that much extra aside from your air ticket. We left from ORD to London and paid $137 for 3 seats (save yourself the money and do not prepurchase the seats...this airline always has empty seats-now I understand why). We then purchased $50 to check in one luggage because we knew it was going to be overweight...we weighed all our luggage ahead of time to avoid the extra fees. We got to the airport and they took our checked-in bag but then was told we had to pay an extra $105 because we were 7kg over. On the Norweigan website, it states carry-on is 10-15kg but at the airport the weighs are 3kg less (false advertisement so please beware of this). We did not even have option to transfer some close to the checked-in bag since they already took it on the belt and were literally rushing us to pay which we did. Our return flight from BCN to ORD again we were prepared we paid $50 ahead of time. We got to BCN and was told to pay $90 because we were now 2kg over, again we tried to argue but we were being rushed to pay. Literally pulled up their website to show them their luggage weight and was told that they do not follow that policy but instead follow the airport policy which has different weight restrictions. A bunch of thieves trying to get money any way they can. Mind you they do not even give water on the plane you have to purchase water $3 for a 9oz bottle. We asked for water and they asked for our credit card. Worst airline I have ever experienced. I tried to call their customer service and was hung up on multiple times. was up until 1AM to get a hold of the refund department which opens at 9 CET to only waste my time and was literally told they I purchased extra suitcases at the airport that is why I was charged all these extra fees. Save yourself the hassle and go with any other airline but this. Just disgusting. I mean simply ask yourself...is it appropriate to not give cups of water to your passengers flying 8+hours...instead you refuse to give them water without paying,,,this just shows what kind of nightmare type of airline this is.

Have made many flights with Norwegian. You get what you pay for and have never been disappointed. The only time we were late the airline offered the standard EU compensation immediately and without question. The best of the budget airlines.

Fly with ANYTHING ELSE. I’d rather fly with cargo plane full of livestock than ever fly with these SCAMMERS again!
First of all their EVERY flight is delayed, which is part of the scam. Their allowed specifications for carriable items are way lower than other airlines and they bet on people not noticing so that they can force people to check in their luggage for $100. They weigh and measure the dimensions (who does that??) of EVERY carry-on and personal items, so there are countless people in check-in kiosks arguing with them because their carry-ons are 0.5kg’s over thr limit. This makes the lines longer and THEY DON’T LET PEOPLE TAKE ANY ITEMS OUT WITHOUT FORCING THEM TO GET BACK IN THE LINE. Which is the essense of their scummy business model. You’re either forced pay the extra money, or you have to reenter the 1 hour line because they wouldn’t let you take out a t-shirt.
Avoid like the plague, don’t give your hard earned cash to these thieves.

Dreadful airline, charged me £80 to board with my bag as it was 0.3kg over the 10kg limit and I wasnt allowed to remove anything from it. Any other airline would have put it in the hold for free but I was told 'Pay us £80 or you dont fly'. Never experienced anything like this except with Ryanair- they are basically the Norwegian Ryanair. Avoid at all costs. Please respond to my complaint ASAP NUMBER 190624-004048

I am flying Norwegian again Tuesday. I’ve flown with them 4 times before. Only one time did I have a delay on flight from Oakland to London. I usually bid on premium economy. I am crossing fingers that my flights with them remain good.

On Norwegian you definitely get what you pay for. The seats are tiny, especially for an International flight. By the time you pay for all the extras, you could fly on another airline with a lot more comfort. Won’t fly with them again.

We chose to fly to San Francisco from London with that because it was quite affordable but we regretted it.
Seats are not comfortable and pretty narrow.
My friend had ordered a meal in advance, and it was ridiculously overpriced given the portion and the quality.
Economy passengers were offered nothing, not even a drink during this 10hour flight!
Surely not recommended!

My return flight (DI7016) to the UK from NY on the 09/09/19 at 23:00 was canceled on the day of departure. I quickly rebooked for a flight the next day but am now significantly out of pocket due to a days loss of earnings for my wife and I and also the additional cost of an extras night accommodation in NY and living expenses in NY for the day.
I have sent emails to Norwegian reminding them of their obligation to comply with the EU Denied Boarding Regulation 261/2004 and offer compensation but they are not even responding to emails making it impossible to start up a dialog. It would be lovely to have a phone number to speak to someone directly!
