Very difficult to contact...rude on the phone.

Horrible customer care. I ordered shades with RECESSED fitting, at 54" (inches) wide. Their website says they will make a 4mm deduction. Note, 4mm = 0.16 inches. When we received the shades, they were the wrong size. My husband is an Architect...very accurate with a ruler, and we measured from bracket to bracket, and it was...precisely, 52.75 inches. .How does subtracting 0.16 inches from 54 inches equal 52.74"? In addition, the chain was jammed, so we couldn't open or close the shades with it. I asked them a FEW times what they would like me to do with the shades (send them back? keep them? donate?), but they never answered that question (even as we were corresponding back and forth). I would have been happy to send the shades back, so that they could measure it themselves, to double-check. I told them I simply wanted a credit so that the shades could be re-ordered, and hopefully we would receive the correct size we originally ordered. Instead, they wrote me an email saying they would only offer a 20% discount if I ordered (paid for!) ANOTHER shade (NO REFUND FOR THE FIRST ORDER!), because they "did not make a mistake" the first time. That was it. There was NO explanation for the number/measurement discrepancy, no answer to the broken chain inquiries, nothing. As a customer, I am offended that they ASSUMED I was lying or incorrect without re-checking the shades for themselves. Is THAT how you treat a NEW and enthusiastic customer??

Placed the order on Feb 27, today is April 18th and we don't have the order. Nikkel Art is just giving us a tracking number to a shipping company called 'Bpost' who cannot give us any details. No one cares about this shipment. Very disappointing, the entire kitchen backsplash renovation is on hold for this one piece and contractors have been rescheduled two times. Buyers beware!

I ordered two custom printed blinds with this company. As I wasn't sure what the quality of the product would be I decided to order one first to see how it looks and how the mechanism would fit before I order the second one. The first item arrived and I was very happy with the quality, I checked the mechanism would fit my second window so I went ahead and ordered the second one, which was shorter than the first one but 20 cm wider (~170 cm instead of 150 cm). The second one arrived on a completely different bracket, which was much bigger (~ 7 cm instead of 4 cm) and with a much wider tube. I barely managed to fit it on the designated piece of wood above my window. The second disappointment was when I tried rolling the blind up and down it was incredibly slow - it would only go up or down by 10 cm each time I pull so to get it up or down completely I would have to pull 15 times (150 cm drop), which is a ridiculous waste of time.
When I complained to Nikkel Art about it the response I got was that blinds over 160 cm width come on a wider tube which is why it is slower.
It would have been nice to include that information on their website so the customer knows what to expect when buying multiple products.
I replied to them explaining that there must be something wrong with the mechanism and the tube width is not the reason why it is so slow. The blind mechanisms I have at work are on an equally wide tube but much faster - I need to pull only 1-2 times to get the blind to fully go up or down by 150 cm, not 15 times like with the blind I ordered from Nikkel Art. I received no reply.
It is very disappointing, especially given how expensive these products are - I paid about £240 for that blind!
If you are buying multiple items, email them first to check so you're not disappointed when you receive different products even though you order the same way. Or try another supplier - that's what I would do in the future, given the poor customer service.

We felt we had very poor after sales care. We ordered 2 roller blinds for our dining room. They were for different sized windows but adjacent to each other. One was 120 cms wide and the other 180 cms. The blinds arrived well packed but with different size rollers and brackets. We realise that anything measuring over 160 cms in width the blind is ordered differently but there was no mention of the difference in roller size and bracket. We asked Nikkel for advice but really got none.
Other issues were absolutely no instructions so if you're inexperienced in DIY it will be tough.
We had emailed photos of blinds we already have to show how we wanted the fabric to fall (the choice is 'inside' or 'outside') and they came the wrong way. When we complained about that Nikkel said they don't offer them how we wanted them!
Also slightly incorrect size, too long (effectively when installed the blind is too long) which means I've had to dismantle the large brackets from their decorative housing to enable us to get the blind to fit within the recess using just the metal internal part of the bracket.
But the pictures on the blinds are stunning!!
Concluding we've had to 'alter' the blinds to make them similar and to get the fabric to fall the right way. If you want blinds for different sized windows beware as over 160 cms the roller and brackets are very big and an overkill for a blind just 160 cms plus.

I bought an Xmas present for my wife. I was told the picture would arrive in 5 working days. It is still yet to arrive (now end of February) with nikkel saying the delivery company (DPD) has it. When questioned about it they said they would either refund it or replace it. I have since sent 4 emails to them to enquire what option they are taking, and have been ignored each time.
DO NOT use this company. Not worth giving them your money for them to provide nothing in return. If they had a zero star option I’d have chosen that.

Unacceptable customer service
Poor quality faulty product received. When I emailed customer services I received a rude response and basic refusal to act. Don't buy from this company.

I bought a beautifully printed 18" x 12" aluminium photo print however it was packaged completely inappropriately in a square box and sustained damage during transit. When I asked Nikkel to resolve, having provided photo evidence of both the packaging and damage to the goods, the response I received was as follows"Because we haven’t got any damage report of the courier, we can’t go on with re-printing. Also because the damage is on the back of the picture and its minor, my responsible proposes to straighten this minimal damage yourself. You can do this simply by pushing the small corner back with a heavier object". This is extremely poor customer service and totally unacceptable. I have disputed with Barclaycard to reclaim the money and will not place any further orders with Nikkel. Suggesting I repair the damaged goods is farcical! I would raise a complaint but given their poor customer service and quality standards doubt they even have a complaints policy. An unhappy and disappointing first experience with Nikkel - never to return!

All I can say is that I am very disappointed with the product and this companies after sales service. I brought a mural, which came in two rolls, it was not until my decorator tried to put it up, did we find out the the edges did not align. After contacting Nikkel Art, I was told that there was supposed to be instructions in the package, which told me to overlap the edges of the two pieces! However, even if I had done this, I would have seen the outline of the other piece under the other one. Basically, even though I was not provided with the instructions, I was told that this was my fault! In the end, this has been a total waste of £104 and I would NOT ADVISE ANYONE to buy a wall mural from this company, because you will be wasting your money and the end result, will have the outline of the other sheet underneath the top one. Very bad after sales service!
