Now I have to say I have been a customer of Network Solutions for 2 Decades, (Now Web.com), last week I tried to Migrate a Wordpress site, (From another host) Normally this is a fairly "Straight-forward" move. On the old site Run a Backup from the cPanel. Then Run a restore and VIOLA! However with this now Bloated and unresponsive web host its nearly IMPOSSIBLE> For starters the tech support (Farmed out foreign Techs) are hard to understand, but WORST OFF they completely do NOT understand the issue let alone address it. These Web.Com staff members are only capable of reading off a card. And heavens forbid they loose their place? You need to suffer from step 1 all over again. MY REVIEW: Avoid this company at ALL cost. I am now in the process of moving my 22 Domains to another platform. I'm sure they will come back with some BS excuse, but its been a long time coming. I should have DUMPED THEM years ago. A lot of hype for the Money. NO VALUE when it counts! GOODBYE POOR HOSTING SERVICE. You lost me and anyone I can tell Starting here.

I called in because our Domain Name password got changed on my SMTP outgoing Domain name we use for this purpose only. We are a Telephone company provider. We use a certain Domain name just for email notification from phone system Vmail for all 600 customers of ours. We asked Network Solutions if they could put the Password back in that it was and we new what it was and gave it to them. But they didn't understand enough to get me help or find anyone for help or even care to make the change. They used to be a great company, but now its the worst company ever. They put you in never ending hold loop expecting you to waste your whole day. I attempted to solve this issue for 8 hours, but gave up. I will change the password on all our phone systems. Thanks for nothing and your crappy service.

I have had an account with them for years and have had nothing but trouble with their "technical support staff" - They spam your email, but cannot understand the basics of SMTP transfers. Recently, it took me 2 HOURS to get the person to understand that I needed help with tracing an email that I sent THROUGH their service that I was paying for (have "professional email"). They claimed that they could not provide me with ANY tracing information, including the hand-off date/time/IP of recipients system - claimed it was "secret"?! You know, every "Received" line in every Internet email. The're claiming, and I have evidence and proof, that SMTP transfers are secret and they cannot release any information related. One can only conclude that they're dropping emails from their customers and refusing to fess up. Early on, I had one of their "expert managers" tell me that an email address of "[email protected]" was not ligitement. I guess every government email address is wrong. Also note that 3 out of my 4 calls to "technical support" where hangups. The last one I hung up after on hold for 40 minutes. When I called their new sales staff, they claimed that it was "normal" to be on hold that long. I should have known that once they got bought out, and the massive email changes they've gone through, they would go down the road of AOL. This is NOT a good nor professional hosting provider.

Trying to get an Authorization Code to transfer domain away has been futile so far. What should be an easy, automated system to do so as stated on their site is anything but. After three days, no code has been sent. After two calls, an hour and a half on hold and bounced around to "the correct department" and still no answer. Don't buy anything from them-you've been warned!

I've been a customer of Network Solutions since 2005. Yesterday I found out that my website did not exist. Malware probably killed the site. Why would a hosting service not have good security. I called and asked to be credited for the time that my website was down. They refused. I prepaid my service until November 2022 and asked for a refund of the unused portion of my service. They refused. I could give more detail but stay away from this comapny.

Very bad company, charged my card when I can't even remember signing up to a domain. Contacted several times but no help at all, filed a dispute against them but yet to hear. Luckily managed to stop any direct debits from them through my bank, but overall lost money which I can't get back so give up there.

These guys are absolute sharks. I could not transfer my domain in time due to problems on their system and as such it expired. They then charged me $350 to retrieve the domain even though it was in the 30 day grace period. That 30 day period is a legal right but I had no choice but to pay that charge to retain the domain. I am so angry at these jokers.

The absolute worse. Everything is made painfully difficult and when i ask for the authorization code to transfer my domain, they right away renewed the domain for 5 years instead, at 4 times the regular price, using a card that was never authorized to be stored and used for renewals.

I would rather have given a zero than a one. I have just tried to transfer a domain from networksolutions to another registrar. Because the domain hosted my primary email, I changed my email details to avoid problems with any transfer, and then proceeded to get an authorisation code for the transfer which they duly gave me. Having given me the authorisation code, they then told me that my account was locked for 60 days because I had changed my registratnt details. They could have given me the option to over-ride the 60 day lock (according to ICANN), but didn't. Result, despite copmplaining to networksolutions and ICANN, I have to wait 60 days because networksolutions use 'sharp' poractice and ICANN cannot intervene. The real feedback, is don't use these sharks.
The best of it was, my domain was registered for the next two years, so they aren't even hanging on to the domain for financial gain. It's just them being petty and vindictive.

If I could indicate a half star rations, I would. WORST customer support EVER. Yesterday I spent 5 1/2 hours on hold (about 1 hour actually speaking with people). By the time I finished, my technical issues were bigger than when I first called. This company should be put out of business. Criminal neglect of customers.

Won at auction namejet.com one domain. After purchasing a domain, they transfer it to the Registrar networksolutions.com. I should have received an email with credentials from the Registrar panel with this domain, but nothing came. Namejet support service writes that networksolutions has the domain, ask them (ticket 21067779). Networksolutions write that they initiated a password reset from the account and I should receive an email with a link to reset my password (ticket 21099201). But I don't get anything, my email is 100% working! It's like banging your head against the wall, in General, I actually stole$70.
I do not recommend contacting these services.

They take money from your account after the domain has been inactive for months. Won't refund you, make you call their hotline phone number to delete your account AND THE NUMBER DOES NOT WORK. REFUSE TO GIVE REFUND OR DELETE ACCOUNT. TERRIBLE. AVOID. OVERPRICED, MOST COMPETITORS ARE BETTER. THEY ARE SO SKETCHY THE BUSINESS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED.

Had difficulties cancelling my autorenew. Was unable to remove my credit card details. Wrote to them numerous times, they confirmed it was done and later still charged my credit card. They make it difficult for users to terminate accounts. It is an online company, but for termination, you have to call and resolve it through hotline. IT is now a year later since I was charged without my permission, and I am still trying to get my account cancelled and credit card details removed.
Advise, if you have to use them use a card with not more than one year to expiry or a payment instrument that enables you to approve individual payments. Once you put in your credit card details, you are stuck.

When I typed in Go Daddy.com "Network solutions" popped up instead. I thought I bought my domain name from Go Daddy. When I thought I was buying my domain name, I was actually buying a hosting package, that included a FREE domain name, so when wanted to transfer the domain name. I had to BUY the domain name. And since I didn't actually own the domain name until TODAY, I have to wait ANOTHER 60 days before I can transfer it to GO DADDY. I never got a receipt or invoice from my initial purchase, I just assumed it was mine. The person I talked to was not even surprised, just repeated that I had to buy the domain name, which I thought was mine for the last 6 months. So, 6 months of $54.95 and no domain name.

Truly the worst service I have ever used and was shocked by the customer service. Says they have easy customer service but just direct you to phone numbers which would not work. Did not listen to any of messages, account was supposed to be deleted but continued charging me and would not give refund.

Network Solutions is hands down the worst email service I have ever had to use. My CPA firm uses Network Solutions as does one of my clients and us grunts hate it. The web based form does not load half the time; it loses attachments and it does not save any drafts if it stops working.

They are painful to work with. We have been a client for over 10 years. Our site went down as a result of issue that was the fault of Network solutions. It has now been down for 2 days. FAST TRACK means your problem gets looked at within 24 hours, not that it will be corrected within 24 hours. Additionally for a company that includes web support, they do not have 24 hour support. This is a HUGE issue.

After 8 days my domain transfer is complete and I am no longer their customer. Good riddance.
NS can't compete with other registrars or hosting providers on their own good merit. Instead they will hold your domain hostage and try to leverage a captive audience for profit at every turn.

Let's see, what's not to love about Network Solutions? ... How about the phone support that takes hours to receive a call back? How about the chat support that simply disappears after you fill out the form to connect to an agent? How about the support assistant that has a heavy Indian accent who refuses to speak clear English although he probably knows you're having trouble understanding his speech? How about the "3 day" transfer / EPP code wait when its an instant process with many other registrars? How about the extremely confusing management portal with profile and account options all over the place? How about the bait and switch pricing tactics that end up costing a small fortune? How about the security breaches and past controversies, although they claim to be very secure, in which there manual intervention "security" methods end up being more of an inconvenience to the customer instead of providing real security? How about trying to make sure that your domains have the correct WHOIS info but unsure if it even updated? How about the extensive time that it takes to update absolutely anything? How about the unexpected renewal fees for the maximum renewal time possible, even when you thought you had renewals are turned off? How about all of the aggressive upselling and marketing all over the place? How about the passive aggressive attitude from the Indian guy when you tell him you want to move away from Network Solutions? How about all of the bad reviews and complaints? As you may have guessed, there is simply nothing left to "love" about this company.
Someone should shut this place down for good.

Yesterday i just spent two hours on the phone and in chat rooms to perform a simple transfer of a domain name from one corporation to another, who both had Network Solutions accounts. When I asked to speak to a supervisor after being cut off while asking a tech support person to explain his instructions, I was transferred to customer service where I waited for one hour and seventeen minutes on hold. While on hold, I used the chat room to resolve the issue. I will never use Network Solutions again, and will transfer my domain after when my renewal ends.

I think it may be time for a class-action suit to get our collective money back and punish this sham of a company. I registered my first domain in 1993. Network Solutions was one of the first registrars and used to be a good company. Since the sales, the company has hit the skids and I've lost one of my domains due to their incompetence. I was in the process of moving another domain and I couldn't move it using their dashboard - it went into pending deletion. I've wasted countless hours on hold and going in circles as my domain is re-instated, but not renewed, then put in delete status again.
