I am very happy to have chosen MePACS, as it has given both myself and my daughters peace of mind about my safety. We all feel confident that if I have a fall or a medical problem, I shall be able to get assistance immediately.

Whilst I have not had occasion to use the device in an emergency I had several incidents of pressing the alarm without realizing I had done so. The response from MePacs was quick and even though I had unknowingly pressed the alarm I was treated with understanding, patience, reassurance and compassion. Those experiences indicated to me that if there were to be an emergency I would be treated likewise. Those experiences give me confidence. It is most reassuring hearing a human voice not a recording. I have recommended MePacs to many of my friends.

I haven't had to call MePacs for a medical emergency but my monthly test call is always answered quickly so I know that would be the case if I did make an emergency call. It's very reassuring to know that.

Within the first two weeks of purchasing MePacs alarm system, I had an occasion to use it.
Within minutes an Ambulance attended, took ne to hospital, where I spent 5 days in Hospital, before being sent home.

So far no problems at all. Thankfully my husband hasn't needed to call MePACS but it is working well. When we check in each month staff respond quickly and pleasantly. Great peace of mind.

I did a lot of homework when my mum decided she wanted to keep her independence and not move into assisted care. I’m so glad I chose this!! The service has been wonderful and my mum has had to use the emergency pendant twice. Both times the reaction time, service and support were exemplary! Thanks To the team!

I feel very safe knowing I'm being watched over with any help I may need very close. I enjoy the alarm reminder , twice , because it is so easy to go about your morning duties , even if you are not going out in the morning. Thank you .

MePACS has been and amazing team to work with - so patient with my Mum, Shirley when she forgot her check in. They were quick to respond to emergencies with a follow up call to check in with the results of the emergency that was called in. I would recommend MePACS to everyone that I know would need one.

I think it is good, but what lets it down is having only 1 point whereby the main unit can be located. This means in my father's house he would not be able to be heard effectively if he was too fall and push the button. I feel there should be a choice for 2 home base units and that would ensure no matter where in the house a fall was to occur the person could be hear. Also as most elderly are hard of hearing it also means the person would be able to hear the person on the other end of the phone.

I am very happy with the service. I have accidentally set off my alarm a couple of times when I was sleeping and we were contacted very promptly to see if I was OK. When we do our check each month, again I am answered very promptly and the person speaking to me is very concerned about my welfare. I find the device gives me a great deal of security as I am unsteady on my feet at times and can pass out if I am feeling unwell.

Good product but wording on web site does not clearly state that the only voice contact available for the home product is via the base station alone and not the actual pendant.
I had the impression that voice was also going to work from the pendant connected to the base station. This was not apparent until I received the kit.
So the overall voice contact with support team is a bit clunky and relies on the sound equivalent of 'line of sight', so if doors are closed then chances of easy communication is largely diminished, then needing the fallback of mobile phone and then the nominated contact numbers.
I now understand that their 'mobile' version provides this feature but that is a totally different solution and relies on an expensive up-front purchase of the mobile pendant and it is much larger than the home version......not ideal and overkill for my needs.
So the jury is out about this versus other stand-alone solutions.
I do appreciate that a 'human' support team is the initial point of contact, not a stored 'call-down list', but I would have rated it higher if the pendant comms issue was available as it is with other technologies/solutions.

The customer service is shocking. I have asked to be contacted about my mother's installation and how it was unacceptable how this was done. I wrote a letter/email and this was not acted on whatsoever. I would be expecting a call and also to make sure my mother is looked after properly and not just another paying customer.

I have only had this mobile personal a short time. I have had my other personal pendant alarm for a long while. I have used it about 4 or 5 times so far.
