Found a fix for the cable! I’ve just worked out that if the cable gets overly twisted within the nylon cord then it will not charge. Try to straighten out and untwist the cable and it should work, well at least that’s what’s worked for me. I’ve had this cable for over two years and it’s still going strong. Hope this helps.
UPDATE - Cable back to working intermittently, the LED will flash when connected to my phone but it will not initiate charging. Has to be reinserted a few times before it will work.
UPDATE 2 - Cable is now working fine!

Bought two of these to charge mine and my wife’s iPhones . Charge phones ok but don’t work well if plugged into a wireless charging base , but sadly if you take the phones of base for a while then put them back on you have to unplug the cable then plug back in to work . Doesn’t state that they don’t work with bases so reverted back to my original cables .

I brought 6 iPhone 2m auto-disconnect cables about 4 months ago. Only one still works all the others have stopped changing and one broke off the outside connector in my iPad and I had to have the connection socket replaced by Apple. They look the business but are crap.

Just like other reviewers the tip of the connector of the cable broke off after 3 months. Because it happened more thans 60 days after purchase, =just 25% discount on a new one. AVOID!!

This is the worst company to deal with if you ever have to return/replace one of their products. Although they do sell a quality product. If you have to return it, and you live in the US, they expect you to return it to Quebec Canada. Even though it shipped out of Champlain NY. And they expect you to pay for the return shipping, which is more than what you probably paid for the merchandise. You be better off buying it from Amazon.

I purchased their Lighting Bolt Smart Braided Charging Cable 2.0 for iPhone as a Christmas Gift for my 12-year-old son after seeing their ad on Instagram claiming it was the "strongest nylon-weaved cord yet." After two months the charging cord now produces an error message stating that "the accessory may not be supported." The green indicator light illuminates, but no charge is provided.
I reached out to the company for customer support. After supplying a screenshot of the error message and receipt of purchase, I was told to, "Kindly try to clean the surface of the charging port on your Apple Accessory first then plug your charger in, Turn off the device with the Lightning plug attached, then restart." That did not solve the problem. When I asked for replacement or refund I was told, "you have a defective cord. I sincerely apologize as we can only issue a replacement within 60 days after you receive the item. If you wish to place an order with us in the future I can offer you a flat 10% Discount on your order."
A 10% discount?!?
I requested to speak to a manager who informed me, "Unfortunately, we are not the store that you purchased from so we are not responsible for providing you your replacement." He offered me a 35% discount toward my next purchase.
For a company whose guarantee is "We are a customer-focused brand that puts you first. A truly great customer experience involves superb service and we strive for nothing less every time. It is our company policy that no customer is ever unhappy, because there is nothing more rewarding than a repeat customer. This is what we define as a successful shopping experience." - their promise fails like their product.

I wrote a review on their website with 1 star and not shockingly they didn't post and they didn't respond to me. I bought three of these as they looked like high quality build and I loved how the light was present when it was plugged in. I only use these in stationary positions, one at home and one at work so they are not banged up and very gently used. The one at work just stopped working after about 3-4 months of use and the second one at home just broke off in my wife's brand new 1 day old Iphone XR, which we now have to replace. I did try the fixes online but to no avail. Very disappointing. I would steer clear of these guys.

So I bought 1 cable & then ordered 2 more. My dog chewed one & after a month of use 1 of the 2 remaining stopped working.!a couple of weeks later I received an inquiry about my experience with their product. I explained that one was already not working. I never heard back from them & now the last one is not working either. Nope I will not be trying McModo products again.

Brought 2 mcdodo chargers 6 months ago for my wife and myself. Both are absolute rubbish, having to constantly unplug and plug back in to get them to charge, only charging to 65% if we’re lucky. Regularly wake up in the morning to a phone that’s shut down as was meant to be charging then didn’t. My wife’s charger is wearing down on the plug metal connectors so have to now wiggle the lead to almost bump start it! Trying to reclaim money back but website is shocking. AVOID

In theory this is a great idea. But the metal band on the tip that goes into the device broke off and is lodged in my iPad. The company I bought it through, getmodern, wouldn’t do anything for me because I purchased it more than 90 days ago.
So I have to incur the cost of having Apple remove this piece of metal. All get modern would do is offer me a 25% discount on another piece of this garbage. No way!

Customer service does not reply - they state that their charging cables will last (warranty being only 3 months), but 3 out of 5 cables that I ordered have started to break down after 6 months.
I addition, they seem to remove all poor reviews from their website - I saw several "why you keep deleting my review??" -reviews there.

UNBELIEVABLE. Ordered on May 25. Requested 1-3 day shipping. It's June 14 and it hasn't shipped yet. I have emailed them 5 times, messaged them and created a ticket from their website that hasn't been opened, they have no phone number for customer service... I opened a ticket with PayPal and they haven't responded to them either. THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM. Mcdodo.co is a different company and reputable. Mcdodo Tech took their name and logo and scam you!!!!

Non apple leads only works a short time as it should and to top it off the metal end came off and jammed in the bad of my battery case which has now also stopped working due to this. Dont always believe what you read in the adverts.☹️

Worst customer service I have ever seen. I ordered a battery case and it was damaged upon delivery. I have been trying to get in contact with them for WEEKS. They have not responded at all yet. I am shocked at how bad the customer support is!

Purchased three cables from them December and two have stopped working. Getting no helper service from them.They informed me that their warranty period was 39 days. That's right folks, less than 7 weeks.
Save your money and shop elsewhere.
