What a terrible staff knowledge 0 skills 0 manners, especially the manager of buy now ( Simon ), never trust them, they selling cars drive away including r.w.c but the car has too many issues that’s why they don’t let customer do test dive. recently I had very bad experience with Simon, Shane ,Jacob ,I had issue with the car I bought, I did call them so many times no one pick up the phone and no one call me back what a shame , they had no customer service skills at all, always swearing and using bad words during conversation to avoid any responsibility.

The one thing mannheim does very Well is hiring their staff. Somehow they managed to find the most Egotistical & incompetent employees know to man And then make that the prerequisite for any management position.
I went from spending hundreds of thousands a month with them, and now I iust send my Garbage cars there so they can be with their kind. My money snd time deserve better.

A very unpleasant end of lease inspection experience. My car was spotless inside and out. Had some paint work done by a reputable company specialising in PCP and lease returns. Not good enough for the Manheim inspector! Damage on the rim of 2 alloys(given the condition of British roads) well within fair wear and tear limits but was 2mm onto the start of the spoke so that was chargeable. Surely using an auction company to inspect a vehicle going to auction(theirs??) is a conflict of interest? If you know they are coming and you get the chance I would ask your lease company to change company for a more impartial, common sense view. My first inspection on previous vehicle by another company was much more honest. Just beware!

Ok let's be honest. If your PCP car is at the end of term it's a scary thought of it being inspected for damage. We've recently handed our car back and it was found to not perfect. Some low life had keyed our car and we took it on ourselves to have it resprayed by a local workshop. . All looked good to me . On inspection the 2 resprayed panels were pointed out to me as not up to standard. On close inspection I could not argue. Also one wheel trim was scraped badly. I agreed. I was going to be charged £16 for the trim and £120 per panel for refinishing. I had a report printed for me and the car taken away.
I made my way to the local garage , showed him the report and demanded my money back. To my amazement they paid up fully.
My advice , if your car has scratch damage don't bother paying beforehand to have it resprayed. £120 per panel is a fair price charged by Manheim. Let's be honest if it was damaged on your watch you should put it right.

This Company needs to be regulated. There is little oversight to begin with in the auto industry but the practices at this auction are inexcusable. Arbitration policies are made up on a case by case basis. They lean on small to mid cap companies to provide cover to national accounts, especially JP Morgan and Nissan. Dizzying amount of fees are pushing franchises to regional auctions and other nationals like KAR and Ally. How this company takes a high handed approach to the process seems a lot like Cargurus. Historically, this is a dangerous place for a company to be. Originating new fees at will, and be passed between employees like a call center in India, with the hopes that you will tire yourself out and give up. Collusion is rampant with people bidding up others and then let's not forget the air bidding some auctioneers do with in lane buyers. It's an antiquated model for purchasing and someone in the tech space needs to come in and revolutionize this industry with seemingly played out tricks and old school players still running rampant. This is a company that produces software to tell you what to pay at auction and it's their auction. This self serving environment seems strange but then they tell you they include other auctions vehicles to smooth out any outcry. The decoupling of their MMR to book values has hit historic highs and symbolizes a lot of ARM products and CDO's in the financial crisis. Banks still lend off clean trade and will continue to do, yet MMR is quickly becoming higher than clean trade as they manipulate the market in order to charge higher fees. All in a back door deal to help manufacturers keep their values high enough to not get completely destroyed on off lease vehicles which the book values have already deemed necessary. These smoke screen parlor tricks are easily telegraphed, yet no one is causing outcry over it. I've never rooted for a company to fail but I am quietly rooting for smaller companies like Ally Smartauction, and KAR to succeed so market share gets ripped away from these crooks. They need to remember the early adopters that helped them build their business and stop acting like greedy investors looking for the next quarterly boost.

One Star still an excess rating. bought a car recently (Grade-2). Knowingly the sellar sold the car via Manheim with serious transmission issues. After dealing this with the issue for months realized it was all coordinated between Manheim and Dealers. Please avoid buying cars from this mob.

Mannheim came to pick up my lease vehicle! The man was polite explained what was going to happen. Once the inspection happened he explained the damages and the estimated cost! I wasn’t happy with all of the prices as some damages I believed was covered via fair wear and tear. The man explained that it’s up to my insurance company to sort this. Had a cost for damages about a week later less than I was quoted!!
I needed sleep for nearly two weeks after reading the reviews from this company! But I didn’t have a single issue with them at all

i got a job at manhein through an agency , and i must say the inspectors were very arrogant and rude , for example there was a large 4x4 which i had never driven before and it had 2 gear sticks , i asked what one i should use and i was shouted at, i was a nervous wreck by the end of the day, also one day i was told to meet them at eurocentral, park my car and wait for them the place i was told to park was very vague and when they arrived i was shouted at telling me i should'nt have parked there by this guy called joe, i explained was my first time there but it made no difference, later on in the day i was told to go over to shotts and park up but not near the poles outside i was sitting waiting and one of the auction staff asked me to just move over and park in the car park as they had a transporter coming and i had to move , this guy joe appeared some thirty minutes later and started to shout and swear at me , i could not repeat here, and then i endured the same verbal abuse all the way back to eurocentral, he left the car and came back some 20 minutes later and i told him i did not like being spoken to in that way , and he acted all innocent , little did i know he was recording me and then reported me to a supervisor , that was me finished i never went back, the way they spoke about customers was disgraceful and they are a disgusting company with disgusting jumped up staff, who seem to think they are something special but they are nothing special just jumped up drivers.

They came on mass with five in a car and two undertaking the vehicle inspection check which was needed at the end of my PCP agreement. Having taken pride in looking after the car throughout the three years and ensuring it was in tip top condition, they identified three marks on the car one of which was not even there and two small ones which were within the acceptable wear and tear guidelines. They did not mark the fuel tank being full on the paperwork (have noted not to do this next time!) and wanted to charge £187 in total.
I put in a complaint straight away with Manheim who agreed that the photos did not indicate any damage and that they would look at improving the training of their staff. The finance company then called me and they also checked the photos and said they couldn’t see anything either so the costs were wavered.
If Manheim are used again for my next vehicle inspection I will definitely request another inspection company are used and if not, I will choose a different brand of car to avoid using the finance company that use Manheim. My husband had a very good experience with a different inspection company (BCA) that assessed his car which was PCP so know there are good ones out there.

The whole buying experience was fantastic from start to finish everything happens as it should and I thought the vehicle at the right price. That’s where the good ended and the nightmare started with the shipping. Completely unreliable completely unprofessional and completely disregard client needs. Thanks to Merna who fixed the problem where they forget to pick my car up. This was going delay delivery another week. I suggest you find a different shipping company As the Mannheim national transport company in my opinion is useless.

PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM MANHEIM AUCTIONS, they are the biggest cheaters in the motor trade, they put silver and gold assured checks on cars but THE CARS HAVE MAJOR FAULTS, when you call the conmen at the assured team they just fob you off and say this is NOT covered. they say this component is not covered.
The sure check is a waste of time

i had my car inspector the inspector Chris did not follow the correct company policy procedures. i complained to the company he tried to blame us for the mistakes he made , Never left a report, said he was not available to sign, only told us the damage was wheels trims and had a bill for £1,204 for damage that was not told about. When i called the the company that send invoice for the damage i explained i did not get a hardcopy they sent me one over, They lied about the date and time of the inspection so that why we didn't no get to sign it as he done it a day late. When i have called to put in a complaint there reply was well we will never know who is to blame. DISGUSTING COMPANY AND SERVICE STAY CLEAR.

Manheim auto auction located in Hayward CA is by far the worst auction i have ever done business with. Their post sale inspections are a joke and 90% of the vehicles we have purchased from them have had major issues that should have been noticed when being inspected. We have had cars stuck in arbitration for MONTHS! and they simply said there is nothing they can do but wait . The worst part about this place is the complete lack of carrying exhibited by most if not all the staff. The front desk ladies look like they all hate their job and hate helping with any questions, The sales department will return your calls maybe 10% of the time ,the arbitration department is completely unhelpful and seem to always push blame to anybody but themselves, The general manager and assistant manager are by fare the worst people I have dealt with in my entire automotive carrier. Im not sure how these individuals hold their positions there? They lack any type of customer service or management skills. The customer service is completely lacking from the top associates all the way to the bottom.
You may ask why would we continue to do business with this place and the simple answer is we only go there because we have to and its for the vehicles. If you go here you must be very cautious and do not believe anything any of the employees tells you because they are either lying, don't know what they are talking about or simply pass you on to someone else because they don't want to take the time to help resolve an issue.
Overall ADESA golden gate runs their auctions much better. Their staff answers calls, returns messages, is happy to help, the arbitration department does what its meant to and doesn't only protect the seller.

Shocked and appalled at Manheim Auto Auction's customer service and it's arbitration process being the sham that it is. After being a client for over 38 years, there processes and procedures have been in a total decline over the past 2 years and has now hit rock bottom. I'd caution anyone purchasing a vehicle from them to do their due diligence when comes to customer service and appreciation "after the sale." It's such a disgrace !!!!

I am a regular buyer of damaged cars. Your employee once dropped one of my vehicles off a forklift . He reported this accident to the Salvage manager and Manheim management (Melbourne) did absolutely nothing to help me re this .Have been very disappointed with Manheim until last week when I drove to Manheim Melbourne to pick up a damaged vehicle from your salvage yard. The lady at the gate office and the fork lift driver were both very pleasant and did all they could to assist me and I left feeling like a valued client. To those two people I say you are great Manheim employees who changed my opinion of Manheim.

On March 20th 2019. I went to the auction to buy a car. Because my mother's car broke down, I need to buy a car for her as soon as possible. I was bidding on a 2006 Lexus is250 on the third line, starting at 5000, I was the only bidder, price was 5250, the staff told me that if I can rise the price to 7000, then should be able to make a deal because the reserve price is 8000. Because I was hurry to buy a car for my mother, I said 7000 dollars is ok. After I said yes the auctioneer told me that 7000 is not ok now, has to be 7500. I was unhappy with them and refused. Then on Coming Saturday, date was March 23rd 2019. I went to super Saturday auction. Was biding for the same Lexus is250 I was still the only bidder this time. The starting price was 6500 this time, I was biding to 6750. The same auctioneer came over and talked to me. He was very unkind and scornful. He said to me “how much I told you the car can be sold last week?” I said “your colleague said 7000 then he can make a phone call” he said “you lied!” Then I said “you can call your colleague to find out” he ignored me, I said “ last time you said 7500 the car can be sold, and now I am willing to pay 7500” then this auctioneer said “that was last week, this time has to be 8,000.” I was really confused and upset then asked “ why you said 7500 the car can be sold last week?” Then This auctioneer said to me “ you can leave, no one wants you to stay here.” He was so rude, unhelpful and no customer service at all. I was very angry and feel that I have been discriminated and teased. I think he is racist because I’m Asian. Very very bad shopping experience. I just want buy a vehicle but been treat like a ****. accusing me I was lying, I couldn’t work out why a company want hire people like this, treat customer badly and rude. Not trying negotiate to make a deal but talk down at me, upsetting me. Because my skin color? Disgusting!

If I had a choice I'd rather die.
Returning a PCP car the short version.
They sent a guy to inspect the car he said there was damage all over and had a ridiculous figure. Two tiny marks on the back bumper was apparently £75. I used some cutting compound and a good rag and within three minutes it was gone. Where's the £75 for my repair?
The inspector forced my partner to sign a docetthen demanded she paid him over £1000. Shed didn't thankfully. He left her in tears after his deplorable manner.
They then refused to take the vehicle.
I made a complaint to the company and have heard nothing back from them after over 4 weeks.
I spoke with the finance company PSA who are also useless and they wanted me to speak to Manheim to get the car collected.
Manheim refused to speak to me saying they have listed me as an unfriendly encounter??? I was very displeased when I made the complaint about the inspector and made that very clear but was in no way aggressive or unfriendly. I was just heavily persistent on the vehicle being collected. I eventually got through to a girl who was very lovely but am still no further forward.
The car is still sitting here and won't be collected until next year. If it's not done soon I'll post the keys to them.
If you can get away with not dealing with them then go for it.

The Birmingham branch mis-sell cars with there online descriptions and is very dis-honest. Other branches in the same group seem more honest with there descriptions on what they are selling. But problem is when i call head office to complain they get the Birmingham branch to phone me which does not sort out the problem and head office do not want to know

Manheim inspected my Fiat 500 when the lease finished last week and I requested it be returned. I received 1 email from them prior to the inspection advising the vehicle must have an mot (not applicable as not 3 years old) must not display any warning lights, must have sufficient fuel so as the fuel light not be displayed and tyres must be within legal limits. It also advised that the vehicle would be inspected for fair wear and tear. When they arrived the inspector went over the car and advised me of 15 things he felt were outside the fair wear and tear. He advised the vehicle was 'soiled all panels' ( it had been to the car wash the previous day) had preparation marks on panels that had never been repaired, pointed out dents that were not visible to see and then asked me to sign to say I agreed with his report. I declined to sign and was eventually allowed to sign to say that I disagreed with the report. A week later I received an invoice from my finance company for over £1200. I rang them and politely advised that I disputed Manheims inspection. I pointed out all of the discrepancies advised that the vehicle had been cleaned prior to collection, that a family member of mine is an insurance assessor for Direct Line and that he had seen the vehicle prior to its return and that nothing major was wrong with it. I received a reduction in my invoice of £900, only leaving items on the bill that I agreed with. I did not have to argue or send the finance company my photo evidence. It is clear that Manheim try to rip off clients by charging for things that should not be charged for and the finance companies know this. My advice to anyone having a car inspected by Manheim : clean it inside and out, buy new cheep wheel trims so they have no marks, photograph your vehicle in detail, dont sign agreeing to the report.

I got an email for reserved price & timing to be there .i went next day, trade in my car for a good price & bought a new one... the Manheim staff was very supportive & reasonable.. the whole process was stress-free. many thanks.
