I had to cancel my booking with this group due to covid19 restrictions meaning no-one could fly interstate.
They refused to refund the 50% deposit.
As a doctor working in a hospital during this crisis I am appalled by their lack of sympathy.
I strongly recommend you avoid booking with Madecomfy, at all costs.

We booked a stay in Australia with this company months in advance and at the last
Minute they have cancelled. Not tried to help us find somewhere else in their apparent “wide range of accommodations” no - just ruined our holiday at short notice. If we had cancelled we’d have lost all our money. They cancel and it’s just bad luck. Shameful. Utterly disgraceful.
UPDATE: Despite the reply below, there has been no offer of help to find alternative accommodation and no compensation. The response below is a lie.

I have been a guest via Stayz and this experience has been terrible, I would suggest that no one use this service. We had a balcony door which would not lock, I emailed them within 15 mins of our arrival, I have made 10 phone calls and have written 9 emails and nothing has been done. I have asked for a partial refund as the property is not fit for purpose and they have refused. This has been a terrible process and has taken large amounts of my holiday time

Terrible experience with MadeComfy.
Some of the items in the ad (hair dryer and iron) were not available in the property. After we left, they claimed they couldn't find a fan remote, and even though after explaining we did not even know there was a remote and asking them to talk to their cleaning people (gap year youngsters), we were charged for the remote.

Only plus = location, quite close to restaurants/cafes/convenience stores and the free CBD tram stops on William and Bourke.
Now to the many minuses-
A/C unit is only in the living room. Both bedrooms have no air conditioning nor fans, hence very stuffy and in a Melbourne summer, you will have to sleep with the bedroom doors open.
WiFi modem does not work. WiFi dongle provided works at slow speeds (<5 MBPS) and cuts out intermittently with requests for the WiFi account password, which is not provided by the host.
One of the two bedrooms is very, very cramped - designed for a single bed, but with a double bed in it, there is very little room to maneuver, exacerbated by a door that opens in to the room rather than out.
Cleanliness was not of the same quality throughout - the apartment was generally clean, but used towels from prior guests were left in the bathroom. Clean (white) bath towels showed off some brownish-red stains that we hoped were lipstick stains and not something worse.
Other annoyances are related to the shower stall design - there is no shelf for your bath toiletries (soap/shampoo), so you'll have to balance these things on a tiny nook or leave them on the floor and hope you do not slip when you bend down to pick them up.
This property is listed and managed by a real estate management company. MadeComfy is extremely unresponsive or slow to respond to questions/feedback. Call center staff are mostly clueless or uncaring about any concerns brought up by the customer. I would avoid booking with this company.

I decided to rent my place out using Made Comfy and it was a big mistake. They are unprofessional and unreliable and I wish that I had been better informed before hiring them. Even though I authorised up to 4 people in my unit, I had anywhere from 8-10 backpackers partying in my place. Smoking, drinking and loud music until the early hours of the morning. It inconvenienced my neighbours and I had to continuously manage the property from abroad.
I would recommend to stay clear of this company.

I would rate it less if possible- they changed my location twice- apartment is average. Found sticky kitchen floors, smelly bathroom, carpet with hairs, booked for a week and by error they sent me an email by middle of week to leave. Ended up as an error which caused loosing a day of work and getting my family stressed. No response when email sent until next day. Quite unacceptable and end customer pays errors.

Worst experience! Would never recommend this business. Sold a service they didn't provide. No checks were done for damage after guests left nor were guests met when they checked in.
As a result we had a huge rubbish bill and damage to our marble bench top which will cost over $1,000 to repair. No screening of the guests was done and the lack of communication appalling. Not only did they be non responsive but then tried to put the blame onto us as the owners.
Terrible experience!
