I cannot stress how important it is to RESEARCH these deals, having had the least "luxurious" holiday via Luxury Escapes. We travelled to Green Island, and in no capacity was this Luxury Escape up to standard in terms of accommodation, meals, activities, service, etc. In fact, it was so uncomfortable we left early resulting in loss of money, holiday time, and excess expenditure in terms of booking alternative accommodation. Importantly, we're a family that travels a lot and this presents the only/sole complaint we have ever made regarding travel. All attempts to resolve this were made in the past 6-months, with the only compensation being a $100 voucher to trust this company in a subsequent "Luxury" escape. Hmm. Due to the lack of relative compensation and time spent to arrive at this resolution, I'd encourage everyone to research their destinations outside of false advertising.

I booked Luxury Escapes online for All Senses Nautica Blue Resort in September 2019 for 4 nights. The resort was anything but a resort and did not match the promotional material online. The resort was badly maintained and furniture was 1980's. The shower blocked and the other shower in the junior suite was in a cupboard. The cistern was not attached to the wall. Food was indigestible. We stayed one night and sought alternative accommodation. Sought a refund from Luxury Escapes for 3 nights. Luxury Escapes only offered a partial refund which I rejected. Luxury Escapes basis for not providing a refund was that the resort would not offer a refund. I have read other consumer reviews concerning refund offers by Luxury Escapes. Luxury Escapes is owned by the Lux Group Ltd. Luxury Escapes conduct contravenes Section 29 of the Australian Consumer Law. You should lodge a complaint online with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. ACCC enforcement priority is Corportations misleading consumers as to their rights and remedies in obtaining a refund.

We recently went on the Treasures of Turkey tour (including Gallipoli). This was a well paced tour with all inclusions covered. The tour was made even more special by our guide 'Fatih'. He had an excellent grasp of English and knowledge of Turkey and went out of his way to help people in the tour group. He is definitely a five star tour guide.
The accommodation was as promised and there were many highlights, including the Istanbul tour, Bodrum sailing day, Ephesus and ballooning at Cappadocia.
Thank you for making a fuss on my birthday.
This tour is definitely recommended to others wanting an introduction to Turkey

We had a great experience with Luxury escapes hotel booking in Gold coast, Australia. The hotel was as is described in their site and perks you get with them makes it more fascinating. I would highly recommend to book hotels via LE as they provide great offers as well as hassle free bookings which makes your trip memorable:)
Also, not to forget their customer service team is very helpful and efficient.

My wife and I recently returned from a Luxury Escapes tour to Egypt. We have used Luxury Escapes on a number of trips but this was well below what was promised and expected. The hotels were 0promised as 5 star but were not. The Nile Cruise ship was promised as 5 stars and was less than 3 stars. The local guide was more interested in showing us cotton and other shops rather than letting us spend sufficient time at the 4,000 year old pyramids and temples. The food overall was uninspiring and disappointing. There was too little thought given to the various aspects of the tour. As an example, the group arrived on an afternoon flight and were taken to a hotel in Cairo only to be taken back to the airport very early the next morning for an internal flight. Why? Overall, we could not recommend this tour to anyone and most people on the tour would agree.

What a disappointment Luxury Escapes!!!!
We have booked to go to Hong Kong in November and of course given the current situation in Hong Kong were seeking a change in Holiday venue, but Luxury Escapes want no part of it telling us to change the date.
Well that’s all well and good but when you put all your savings into a family holiday to celebrate a birthday, it’s a little hard to change everyone’s travel plans to a future date 6 months ahead, hoping that the turmoil will be over.
I’m sure you have an arrangement Luxury Escapes to amend clients bookings if countries are unsafe to enter.
Also good luck trying to contact somebody within Luxury Escapes that can assist you!!
Thank you for responding,
One of my booking no’s is EB6TCT, please contact me by phone if you want further details. You have all my details.

We purchased a cruise from LE last year in October and paid in full. It took six weeks and many requests to get a receipt. The 15 day cruise was on the Royal Emerald beginning in Amsterdam and finishing in Budapest.
We tried to board the Royal Emerald on Saturday 29th September at 3.45pm.
We had not received an email that most passengers had received concerning a change of itinerary due to low river levels.
A young girl who did not work for LE informed us that we were not getting on a boat but staying at a hotel in Amsterdam.
Other passengers were clearly getting on boats and we were not.
My husband pointed out that we had paid extra for our cruise and would like passage on a boat.
The cruise director from the Royal Emerald then interrupted and told us that we were lucky that we were not being bused around Europe and that we could fly back to Australia and then complain to LE. This did not help!
We pointed out that we had already spent 2 days in Amsterdam and did not wish to stay for a further 3 days.
Whilst waiting in Amsterdam we missed the first four days of the cruise itinerary and on the fifth day were offered tours that we had already completed in Amsterdam.
On Monday 30th September we tried to board the Scenic Jasper as organised by LE but the cruise director had not been given our names by LE and we were unable to check in for over an hour. This was extremely distressing as we were unsure if there was a cabin available for us.
Although our cabin on the Scenic Jasper was lovely. It certainly was not the size that we paid for on the other ship.
We finally boarded the Royal Emerald on the 5th October. We had booked and paid for a Royal Balcony suite. We were given cabin 323 which was a much smaller and less luxurious cabin. We were beyond upset. We were then led to the back of the boat to cabin 336 which was a panorama room not available when we booked. We had no interest in this room because it is above the engines and is noisy and the room constantly vibrates. Also my husband recently had back surgery and I about to have a hip replacement, so walking to and from the back of the boat several times a day was never an option we considered when we booked.
Clearly LE oversold the Royal Balcony suites and tried to fob us off with a much smaller and inferior room in 323, a Balcony Suite. Why would LE expect that this situation would be acceptable?
Their lack of communication and service has completely ruined our holiday.

We are booked on a Luxury Escapes 15 day river cruise boarding the Royal Emperor in Budapest on 12 October to sail to Amsterdam. We understand that there is a section with water levels too low to transit.
We have made many phone calls and sent emails but cannot get a confirmation that our cruise I’d going ahead.
We leave Australia for Budapest in a few days and URGENTLY need LE to contact us.

I've been on two LE holidays so far (Khao Lak, Quy Nhon). The deals were fantastic and very flexible, so it was really comfortable and suited everyone. I really like that they are so clear with the fine print... a rarity in this industry.
LE makes for a great gift too, as you have a wide window to avail of it, and the quality of the properties is really good!

We booked a luxury escape deal that said 2 adults and 2 kids all inclusive deal.
The way the deal was written was very misleading. As in the fine print which was not obvious, says kids stay in exisiting beds and even though it says breakfast is included it did not include the kids. The fine print is not with the deal details you need to scroll past multiple other deals for other hotels in various countries. This is false advertising in my mind and we are very disappointed.

I have just returned t from the LE-Magic of Egypt tour; this trip was amazing in every way!
From the beginning all of my queries and concerns were addressed promptly and efficiently by LE and DI travel (thank you Rebecca @DI travel for your patience).
The trip itself is hard to put into words, the pyramids and temples we visited were amazing, a real pinch yourself moment. The tour was busy with so many things to see and some much history to absorb and the Nile river cruise on the MS Crown Empress was a great way to recharge before taking on the next site. The Nile is spectacular.
We were well taken care of by our guides and also the crew on the cruise. The LE group was quite large and we were broken down into groups of twelve which made getting around easy. The guides would plan our days to ensure we reached our destination before the heat of the day and to also beat the crowd. We were all made to feel safe and not once did I ever feel unsafe.
Our guide Elia Ayad Boctor was fantastic, he was patient knowledgeable and professional at all times, he was a great support to our group of 12 and we all grew very attached to him over the 11 days we spent with him. If you’re looking for a guide, Elia is your man.
Don’t go to Egypt and expect 5-star luxury because you will be disappointed, remember why you are there and that is to see the sites and take in the history which is unlike anything you would have seen before.
If you have ever wanted to visit Egypt, do it! it is safe, it is amazing, it is the trip of a life time and one you will not forget.
Thank you LE for providing an affordable trip which provided so much.

Luxury Escapes cruise Budapest to Amsterdam- 12oct 2019. We booked last year in October for this cruise that was advertised as travelling from Amsterdam to Budapest. Communication from LE was appalling and they refused to send us an itinerary, saying that it would be provided closer to the cruise. We booked our airfares but the next time we went online the cruise was advertised as Going the other way. It cost us approx $1000 to change our flights. Our friends were in the same situation and upon meeting other passengers we found two other groups who were in the same situation. As a group we will be asking LE to compensate us for the cost in airfare that we incurred in changing flights. At this stage there are nine passengers I am aware of in this position. I am interested in hearing from any other passengers in this position before I contact Fair Trading for advice. Passengers can contact me by searching for my gmail address under jomedlin1

We recently took a trip from Budapest to Amsterdam which was booked well in advanced.
Food was ok, - Dining room service by staff were great.
Even though I believe L.E. miss lead people in their advertising by saying all food and drink inclusive but failed to mention that all spirits and cocktails would be at passengers’ cost. For the sake of my wife I tried to get past this miss discretion by L.E.
Cabin crew service was great and friendly.
Now some terrible items.......
The Cruse director who’s name was JAN, was an many occasions very rude, short in his responses with passengers and quite frankly was not friendly at all. He made no effort to entertain or organise any game days or movie nights for passengers etc, this made some days quite boring. I suppose he was busy attending to Passenger complaints!
There were constant disruptions with communications, the so-called cruise director was the worst that we both had experienced in all the years of traveling.
What concerned my wife and I was the failure of the crew to ensure the health and welfare of its passengers. From what we recall at least 80 to 90% of passengers including us, were infected with a shocking virus, a lot of people were bedridden for days at a time.
The passengers were told to look after ourselves, No doctors could be sort to help. The ship did not have any first aid or simple medications i.e. Panadol etc.
The lack of any appropriate action, particularly by the cruise director was observed while seated upstairs dining in air conditioning and seemed to more interested with his girlfriend than the passengers who were dining down stairs in 40 -50+ degree temps as the air-conditioning was not working in the dining room.
The last week of the cruise was the worst as more technical items stopped working i.e. the WiFi system, this made it hard for passengers to organize medical care and arranging travel changes to their itinerary.
I hope enough ex-passengers write of their experiences and hope others do not have to go through what we all have been through.
Luxury Escapes need to address this so it does not happen again!!

We purchased a seven night package from Luxury Escapes at Dancing Villas in Nusa Dua. This was advertised by Luxury Escapes as:
“Dancing Villas Nusa Dua Grand Opening: Be One of the First to Stay in Brand-New Bali Pool Villas"
This was not a Luxury Escape in any way shape or form. These are not brand new villas.
Our transport from the airport was good. Our one-bedroom villa was ready and we were taken down a very steep hill and shown our Villa. The first thing I said was "what is that smell" the staff member made no reply. He showed us around and then left. The smell was overpowering, I am asthmatic, and I started wheezing within minutes of him leaving. We decided to open doors and leave our unpacking and catch the free one-way shuttle to pick up some supplies. We thought the smell would be gone on our return. We both left the Villa with eyes burning.
On our return the smell was still there. On closer inspection we realised that there was a lot of mould on all walls in the downstairs bedroom and living room area. Obviously, the smell was some sort of toxic smelling cleaning product. There was also a concrete wall opposite the Villa that was covered in Mould.
We decided that we could not stay in that Villa, I called reception and explained. The same staff member that had shown us to our Villa arrived and said, " yes mould, not much sunshine down here". He then offered to show us a Villa right next door. This Villa was no better. We told him that we could not stay in these villas and if that was the best, he could do then we needed a refund to go elsewhere. He then said no, we move you to our sister Villas for the night and then put you into a Villa on the top row tomorrow.
Suitcases were lugged up the steep hill where we then waited at reception until a car arrived to take us to Tjendana Villas. Tjendana Villas are on top of another steep hill in the middle of nowhere. The next bit was hilarious, I was shown 4 villas to choose from, I chose the second last but was told "no I think you better with the last one. It was a very small one bedroom villa, there was no sitting area just a small bedroom and ensuite. It had a private pool outside, and some outdoor furniture which filled the small outdoor space.
Breakfast next morning at Tjendana was woeful, very little choice and tasteless. There was no milk for coffee, only powdered creamer.
The manager arrived and asked us if we would like to stay here or go back to a better Villa at Dancing Villas. We chose the better Villa at Dancing Villas as Tjendana was so small and even more remote than Dancing Villas. We had to wait in this tiny villa until midday until a car came to take us back to Dancing Villas.
On arrival at Dancing Villas we were shown a Villa on the top row. (access to our Villa was into the upstairs kitchen area, we had to go downstairs to the bedroom and living room). This Villa did not have the toxic smell of the Villa down the hill. We had little choice but to accept this Villa as our 7-night stay was disappearing fast. We also had bookings in place for Restaurants and a the Devdan Show.
Later we noticed things such as the mould coming through the wallpaper and a very strange growth of some sort on a pipe near the wash basin that had been painted over, we kept expecting some sort of vermin to come bursting out at any moment.
The stairs to the upstairs kitchen area were dangerous if wet. The bed was the hardest I have ever encountered. After commenting on this we were given not one but two toppers, which did help. The living room furniture was so uncomfortable you couldn’t use it. The upstairs kitchen area had very little in the way of supplies. The pool was very hard to access especially for older people as there are no steps in, just a step down and then a large drop into the water.
We ordered the free, floating breakfast but asked that it be put on the table upstairs, the eggs benedict, fried eggs and other hot items were stone cold on arrival, we could not eat it. The free meals that were part of the offer had limited choice and were not dishes that we would have wanted to eat. Breakfast in the small restaurant was okay but again choices were limited. We asked for eggs sunny side up and received eggs that only the base of which were cooked, the upper whites of the eggs were still raw and runny. Birds and insects were able to access the poorly fitting lids over some of the items on offer.
This property is remote, the one way transport to The Bali Collection helps, but you can’t walk anywhere. This property is not “Brand New Villas” as stated on Luxury Escapes advertisement, it is a very poorly renovated property with some big issues. The staff were all very good, and I have agonised over doing this review, but I could not in all honesty recommend this property or Luxury Escapes to anyone. Luxury Escapes say they inspect all Properties that they advertise, if that is true they could not have missed the problems with these Villas, other guests have also had issues ever since the reopening.
I have communicated with Luxury Escapes. Their replies are spasmodic. They first offered us a $200 credit off another luxury escape, when we declined this offer and asked for 50% refund of the price paid in cash, they then offered us a $400 credit off another Luxury Escape. We do not want a credit as we would not trust Luxury Escapes again. We simply want what we believe we are entitled to as compensation for false advertising and a botched 25th Wedding Anniversary trip.

On 27 October I wrote a review regarding our cruise from Budapest to Amsterdam and received a reply from LE advising their team would be in touch. No surprises that there has been no contact, I expected no less from this company. If anyone from that trip has made a complaint or requested a refund and require any evidentiary material please let me know.

My first luxury escape was a great one! I booked an amazing getaway to Thailand, and was definitely dubious about how such a fantastic deal with all of the inclusions could be so cheap! I was wrong, the amazing massages, luxurious room and abundance of food and drink was outstanding and incredible value. The booking process was quick and easy via their friendly and courtious sales team, ready to book my next escape. Great customer service too!
