The number that came with the letter I get the same people helping and the same story of we will send it to that department and it should work in 24 hours. Nope not true! I been told this 5 times now! They used the gifts card to get u signed up. They promise but scam u and lie! Dont sign up for them! I been in contact with other customers as well and they get the same story. I will be making phone calls today and reporting them. I will be canceling my services!! They are a joke ! God forgive them and taking advantage of people and scamming them! I'm in New Jersey so plz dont fall for their scams!

Signed up 3 homes I own at Sams Club Feb. 8, 2019, this is Sept. 10, 2019. The young girls there assured me Just Energy would send me 3 $45 Sams Gift Cards, one for each home I signed up with. I have called customer service a couple of times to be assured they were ion the way " 4 to 6 weeks " they would say. 4 to six weeks have passed long ago both times, I wrote customer service on their site on " customer service ", no reply. I beginning to think " Bait-n-Switch'ed " !

I have been with just energy for about four years. Everything was good until I found out I have stage 3 breast cancer. My service was disconnected last month for non payment because while going through chemo you have to pay for your treatments in order to stay ALIVE. I had to go back into sergury and by the time I got released from the hospital my service was disconnected again. I called just energy and informed them that I could have the money to them Friday and could place my debit card on file for payment and asked if my service could be restored. However the manager told me that the system would not allow them to issue a connection w/o payment. I thought just energy was for it's customers especially when temperatures are 99 to 100 degrees in Texas. I will be looking for another service provider. If just energy treats their customers like this when they are fighting to stay alive then I cannot do business with them.

I wouldn’t give them any stars if possible. I signed up at Sam’s with a nice representative which compared my previous bill from a different provider and said I would’ve saved about $20 on that bill if I was with Just Energy. Since my previous contract had expired and they were not offering me any reasonable rates I went ahead and switched to Just Energy. My bill is DOUBLED what I normally would pay in September! Never in 8 years have I ever paid this much! I called and spoke to Angie and she could not help me with this bill. She offered me to switch to a different plan for the following month but that was high as well. I asked for help with this bill and she said there was nothing she or any other representative could do except file a complaint and someone would contact me within 30-45 days! What?! Ridiculous! I’m switching and letting everyone on my Nextdoor know not to fall for what I fell for.

First of all, the rep at Sam's lied. I told her that I have been with TXU only and no one else. I told her my bill has been $177 a month and that's the highest I have ever paid and can she do better? She said of course we can....(sucker). My first bill was approx. $196. My second, third and fourth bill have been over $200 and the bill I just received is $259.00 The scam is they tell you nights are free (BS) I keep my house at 84 friggin degrees during the day and turn it down to 80 degree when it suppose to be free. I would like for them to tell me how in the hell it has jumped so high from TXU. I NEVER paid a $200 electric bill with TXU and I kept the thermostat at 80 during the day. 78 degrees at night or lower and ran a small window unit during super hot days for my Alaskan Malamute.
By the way, their rep told me if I was satisfied, she would make sure I wasn't charged a penalty fee....another lie.

I signed up at Sam’s and was told I could cancel at anytime if I was not satisfied as long as I called in and noted it on my account. I kept the service for 3 months and decided to cancel because free nights was not working for me. The rates are ridiculous if you don’t use as much during nights. I’ve never paid so much in my life. I called and they tried to offer me a supposedly better rate for me which was also ridiculous at 14 cents. I declined and finally got them to note on my account. My last bill of course included my exit fee that I was promised would be waived. I had to call these people over 5 times until I finally got someone to help me and remove the fee. I check online for my last bill and they removed the $175 exit fee, but charged me the $150 fee they paid to have me switch over to their service. The lady that signed me up never mentioned this, but it is in the contract so my fault for not reading the fine print. Total rip-off. I’m now signed up w a company paying a little over 8 cents per kw.

Customer service representatives disconnect your line to get you to pay more for rates and service charge. Meanwhile, they do not help you to resolve intentional overcharge problems. Customers need to take care of their problems.

I was in Sam's Club and a pretty little girl approached me and gave me their spiel. Told me that their price was 11.9 cent per KWH including the Oncor charges, with no base charge, free nights, and no exit fee. Sounded good, so I decided to try it. She wrote the information out on a Just Energy card for me. The next month when I got my bill, it showed 17.8 cents per KWH. I called in and complained. They told me I had signed a contract showing 17.8 cents per KWH. It was an electronic signature, not mine. I reported to the PUC of Texas. Be careful what you sign, and read everything before signing. These people are Scammers! Don't trust them!

If i could give 0 stars I would!!! Worst company ever. They reel you in saying your will save going with them! Our last bill $886 for a residential home! Not a business! not a mansion!! The bill before that $500 (mind you this is a 3 bedroom home and everyone is always at work). I called them to have them come check the meter, they said they dont due that and the amount is correct! This is absurd! I dont even think businesses have bills that high! BEWARE!! They are all about money! We never paid more than $200 before this company! DO NOT USE THEM!!!

I've had just engery for about a year now. I just realized I was being over charged for my service. On my bill it read 0.0630. On the phone Anna, #75993 said my kwh is 0.0619. I told her that's not the price/number on my bill. She said, AEP must have changed it. AEP said, they have nothing to do it with it. All they do is print what comes through on the data. Anna asked what I'd like to do. I said, give me my money back. I'm sure I've been over charged since I've had the service. She asked if I wanted to cancel, I told her yes.

My first contract with Just Energy was good. It was for 2 years and I was satisfied with my contract with them. The second contract was also good. The same thing. I was satisfied. When that contract came to an end I got into a situation with them that I had to set a new contract with them against my wishes but I couldn't get out of it without paying the exit fee. Being in my 70's and on a very fixed income I worked for days with them to come up with something I could afford. They offered me a deal that was a lot more than my previous contracts with them. Finally Delgado, the rep I was working with said he had the perfect deal for me. He went over it all, said that the final amount he stated to me included pass through and deliver charges. That was what I had before. Also because I live in a small living space and hardly ever use up to 1000 kw a month I was told this deal was for low usage. That's not what I got at all. My contract included a high delivery charge and I was billed 5 cents more for using less than 1000kw. My bill kept going up even though I kept my cooling set at 78, When my bill doubled I then set it to 79 sweating most of the time but trying to keep my bill where I could pay it. That month it went up $10 more. So now my bill is more than doubled. I am locked in a 2 year contract and if I had $175 extra I'd get out right now. I will never use this company again and I urge everyone that is looking not to use them. They tell you anything but they lie. They lied to me. If I could sue I would. There are companies that include delivery and pass through cost. Trieagle is one and I am anxious to get done with Just Energy and move to a company that does what they say. I know Tri eagle does because my daughter uses them. 1/4 of my social security check goes to my electric bill.

First of all I HATE writing reviews that are bad but this company deserves it..I signed up with this company years ago because a man came to my door and showed me a bill with Just Energy that was in the middle of summer and it was a pretty large house and the bill was only $85.00. Ok I may be gullible but I signed with them..He told me I could get a tax write off cause it was green energy..Months later I called customer service about the write off and she said it wasn't true..ok if that wasn't bad enough I found out I had cancer and doctor and hospital bills poured in..I got behind on my electric bill cause I was trying to keep my bills from my treatment paid up so I wouldn't die..At first they were pretty good ..I paid when I told them I would..then they changed it to paying 1/2 down..I did that and always paid on time..NOW they changed the rules in the middle of summer where the heat index is 110 degrees and decided you could only get 3 extensions during the year..Of course I had already used my 3 extensions so I am forced to come up with the money for the huge electricity bill before the month is up. I am on social security so I have had to cut back on food and medicine to pay this...they should be ashamed of themselves cause I know there are plenty of people hurting..Of course they I signed a 2 year contract right before they changed their rules..I can't afford to change electricity companies because I would have to pay the $175.00 fee to get out of this contract and a deposit to the new company..I guess they got you where they want you! Ashamed I ever started doing business with this company!

I had no intentions on being a customer. I did not enroll but because they already had my bge acct number, I was billed. I called to cancel and file a complaint. Nothing was done until I called the commision of public service and even then they said the call had nothing of me saying I did not want to enroll, which I am furious about. Im a struggling intelligent nursing student and mom or three why would I enroll to make my bill higher. This is a true testiment to the type of company they are. #Moneyhungry #Rippingoffthe littleperson

I changed from the rate shield elite plan to a nights free plan. The EFL states the 2000 kwh will be @ 14.2cents, it's being charged at 20.4cents. With a note at the bottom: "Please note that your Energy charge has changed by .013063/kwh." On my bill it's a $147.00 difference. No notice, no reason just a small note on my bill.
Very dissatisfied with this issue. Now let's see what excuse I'm given.

The service was fine while I was a customer, but after changing providers, they continue to try and double collect the last payment. They also tried to charge an early termination fee, when I ended the service on the date that my contract was up. Really screwy company to deal with.

I previously gave Just Energy a bad review for several complaints I have had. They read my review and took it to heart. I got emails requesting that I contact their office to see if there was something they could do to fix it...I spoke with Felix Lowe a representative of Just Energy. He was very kind and helped me get a new plan that was right for me. He was very helpful explaining things that I was upset about. I have never had a utility company try so hard to make things right! The whole problem was that I was in a plan that was not right for me. I would definitely recommend this company because there were mistakes made and they owned it and fixed it. I shouldn't have sat on my anger for so long and just contacted them a long time ago. If you are looking for a electricity company I think you should give them a chance.

Been with them for almost a year, I only got them because they didn’t ask me for a deposit when trying to connect, but I regret it sooo much !!! I live in a small 2 bedroom apt and my bill is always more than 120$ !!!!! Does not make sense since I’m the type of person who bearly has the lights on, and I live with my two baby’s WHO
CANNOT REACH TO TURN LIGHTS ON!!! I used to have a different company and at that time I would have lights on 24/7 and never payed more than 80$! But now that I take care of my energy and come switch to Just Energy mi bills are over the roof! I’m already looking into switching to another light company because this is RIDICULOUS!

It has been a terrible experience with Just Energy. I paid more to this energy company each month than what I pay for my car loans. I was supposed to save a lot of money when their rep made me sign up promising all the nights free and I can use our dish washer, washer/dryer in the nights.
Let me tell you, we used to use dishwasher every day in the mornings and washer/dryer mostly in the evening before 9 and this was with previous electricity provider and I never paid more than $200 per month. Ever since I moved to this company it is all so weird how they bill. I have no way to verify how in the world we used so many units during the day when the majority of our load we are trying to put during nights which of course they said its all free. I have no way to verify they're not scamming some how.
Y'all don't believe, I moved to this company and I started paying $450 on an average each month. The even more disturbing fact is we moved out of our house and now listed for sale. Since 45 days not even a single bug living in our house and I put the AC to 80 deg and that's all the electricity it is suppose to use except refrigerator. I still get ungodly 300+ bill for the month I don't use. Now, I just checked my weekly usage estimate and it showed me I'm heading towards estimated $270. How????? I mean HOWWW???? I'm not using anything and the doors are locked. I must have paid over $2000 in last 4 months which I never touched that amount for the entire year with Green Mountain or TXU earlier.
4 months with JUST Energy - Over $2000 (2 adults in the house)
12 months with previous providers - Less than $2000 (2 adults in the house)
I will be reaching out to you guys for compensation towards all the scam and If I'm don't receive enough explanation of all this nonsense, I will be filing a compliant Public Utility Commission of Texas. I encourage everyone here to file a compliant against such companies. I lost sleep over my electricity bills.

I’ve been with this company 2 years and for
Some strange reason my payments are posting to the wrong account repeatedly consistently
I shouldn’t have to pay you and call each month to tell you how to post a payment accurately
How hard is it to post a payment to the correct or active account?????? When I call it takes 90 minutes per call to have the money moved and repeat in 2 months. Asinine.
It’s time to disconnect Just Energy

Sounds good but it’s a total rip off. I was told I could cancel at any time without a charge. I’ve tried to call a number of times and just get the runaround. Submitted request now two times via email requesting service to be canceled and still waiting. My bills more than doubled every month! I’ve only had them about 4-5 months but there is no way I’m paying their outrageous charges anymore. My bill more than doubling is not at all how this was pitched to me.

As a 15+ year client with Just energy and a individual who hs been working in a customer service industry for 40 years I find it unaccpetable that this company refuses to listen to their customers, make appropriate changes, has no follow through on requests and then calls only to hang up on a customer with out asking all the pertinent questions. Here are a few things that we have been trying to get fixed over the last 3 years... name change on the account with a renewed contract, a new contract which was sent to us and signed and returned to Just energy, and having someone listen thoroughly to our concerns. The last thing that prompted this review was a phone call just received from someone at Just energy asking to speak to the first named person on the house and when they were advised that he wasnt here and we wouldnt be giving the message to that person they hung up saying that is your right. What should have happened is a question as to why that person wouldnt be getting the message or how could they help us or maybe how we could help them to achieve the desired outcome. As the second named person on the house and the decision maker in the house this has finally prompted me to write a review and I/we will be moving our business to a provider that understands customer service and what being polite means. It is really too bad that Just Energy deems long time customers as problems they would sooner see let go rather than work with them to achieve the best for both.
