I had ipage for another business a few years ago. They used to be knowledgeable and pleasant. I therefore got it for another business in August 2020, and how I regret it!
First of all they had gone up significantly in price without any particular improvements or extra features (250 up from 30 a year); they charge for every little thing separately.
Even more importantly, there has been a bug or problem every week! In the past 3 months, I have spent more time on ipage chat to solve problems than I have on any marketing aspect of my business!
Most recently, the maps on my website for my two business locations point out to an address in a different state! It's been over a month and the issue has not been solved, after multiple follow ups.
Today after another follow up I got this incredible/horrible email:
"... Depending on the priority of the bug that is placed, the bug will be moved to an Engineer or Product Manager for work, or more often; it will be moved to a list for future work. In many cases, the product team will opt to wait for a length of time, such as 3 months, for bugs to accumulate on a given tool so that they can work with our partners to address the bugs in a new version of the tool. Please leave the business address blank to avoid displaying the incorrect Map pointer. I am afraid that we do not have the estimated time frame for the bug with the Google map location not displaying on Websitebuilder tool...
Dhananjaya J".
So, it turns out that not only the bug on my website has no priority to this person and the irresponsible team he or she works with, but also his/her suggestion is to "leave the business address blank"!
Why on earth I would pay to host a website if I wanted to leave my business address blank?
Such rude, irresponsible, careless and just horrible treatment of customers!
I will be moving my domain.
Don't even consider ipage! Stay away!
Don't waste your time and money. It is not even cheap anymore. It used to be called "cheap host with modest performance". It is now not cheap with horrible performance.
They are not worth a penny, let alone over $250 they have charged me so far!

Due to poor performance of our website, my company decided to transfer our domain to a new provider that would be able to support the speed needed to run our site. Ipage, would not accept the domain transfer stating we needed to wait 60 days and then told us that since our domain registration was expiring we would have to extend that by another year because that is the shortest renewal period. This would lock us with Ipage for 14 months. The alarming part that made us convinced this was a tactic of theirs was they kept asking us why we wanted to transfer and were persistent in trying to keep us. Technically they could not provide us what we needed. 7-8 seconds to load a website is unacceptable and trying to convince us to lower the resolution on our images is not an option. Who wants blurry images? These were not high resolution images by any means on our site. We are not a small business but a growing corporation who needs to maintain a high performing website at any cost and Ipage could not improve to meet our needs as a company.

My god, this is the worst web hosting provider in the universe. Slowest hosting I have ever experienced, takes about 10 minutes just to log into the control panel on the odd occasion it lets you.

I cancelled my service on their website when they sent me a renewal. I have an e-mail confirming this cancellation. Yet they have tried to deny that fact TWO TIMES with AMEX. They make their profits not on internet hosting but on defrauding their customers.

I have been with Ipage for around 7 years and the latest upgrade they have made to the backoffice, which was during the 1st Q of 2020, was the worst I have seen in every supplier of IT.
Not only the options to access the most commom tasks had disapeared as several tools available for example in their website builber just vanished.
Before when I contacted support, they would be very quick on resolving issues, now everytime they ask me to wait for 3-4 minutes for whatever reason and then after 3 minutes they come up with "I'm still checking this for you. I may need 2-4 more minutes. Thank you for the patience. " for a simple question about for example: "How can I insert new objects to pages on website buildes as I was able to do on the previous backoffice".
I feel like they have downgraded me, I feel so frustrated with them right now.
I am starting the process of finding a new host.
I have had it!

Ipage Service is the worst ever. They just suspend sites without informing. Many businesses lost consumers because of Ipage hosting policies which is disgusting. Not good for Startups either.

If you've got free time to waste and feel boredom than start relying on them.
You will not receive a reliable service at all but will keep being busy with those extremely bad company.

It's never been very good, and now it's abysmal. Logging in is an ordeal which takes twenty minutes (If it works at all). Subsequent navigation to any other page in the dashboard is the same.
This seems to have happened since the implementation of the new 'Domain Led Experience'.
When we've contacted support, we have heard all of the excuses: 'Clear your browsers cache', 'Try another browser', even 'Change your ISP'. In the meantime, other websites and services are working just fine.
Now I am receiving emails threatening to downgrade my account and park my domains, because I managed to remove y payment details from this unusable service.
I can't even log in to transfer my domains away from iPage.
I would ardently advise against getting into any kind of relationship with iPage, or any other 'Endurance International Group' company.

450 eur of my money was resrved for transfer due to ipage autorenewal
I contacted them the same day via chat
some of their reps just say "Yes, That Is Correct!" to everything, so just try chatting with another agent
other than that I was happy with support I got
the second agent was able to also refund the 100 eur tax portion
In the end I got back 447 eur (so only 3 eur loss)
So, I am very happy with how this turned out
Yes, their hosting is bad. So bad I thought my hosting plan had ended cos the site was down whenever i checked.
But I rate them 5 stars on trust pilot
Because they gave me back all my money altho I dont think they were legally obligated to do so
It is not a scam just because you don't read the agreement.
It is not a scam just because you don't switch auto-renewal off.
I trust these biches.

The worst service I have ever had.
When I did moved my website to them, they "forgot" to update the DNS and so my site remained on the old servers! I discovered it too late:
One day the old hosting service erased the data on their disks. My website disappeared. I call iPage support. The person who answers me tries to make me pay 100 euros via email to his personal account to solve the problem!
I call the support service a second time and another guy replies that they are sorry that their colleague has behaved in this way, but in any case they cannot restore my site because it is not present on their servers.
I've lost everything.
I had to rebuild all from zero.
It was a disaster for my business. Lost 5000 euros.
