I saw a favourable price on the internet advertising an item I required. I telephoned the company to check the price and was told by the rep of the company she would need to check with her boss. Upon her return she told me that it was a human error and I could not have the item at the price advertised. I pointed out that in the Sale of Goods Act they should honour their error and the projected sale should be allowed. I was told that they could decline this (in their small print apparently).
Very disappointed with their sales attitude.

We purchased a parasol in August. We noticed one of the LED strip lights were not working and we contacted customer service and they came back with they were very busy so we sent an email. We have now spoken with them 3 weeks ago and emailed last week again. Still waiting for a reply ( 14/9/19) on the phone to customer service now 15 mins and they have just cut me off. Buyer beware as their customer service is very poor if you get the problem

We drove two hours to have a look around internet gardeners showroom as we didn't want to buy without seeing first. Everything on display looked extremely good. The staff were very helpful especially the cup of coffee and tea we were offered. We ended up buying a sofa set and a dining table set. Was delivered within 3 days. I cant fault the service and staff. Extremely happy with our purchases. Everyone who has seen it cant believe it can be left out all year. It has made our garden into another room. We will definitely be back to buy the matching sun loungers. Great company very helpful staff. Definitely recommend internet gardener, if I could give higher than 5 stars I would.

This is my first experience of bad service from an internet supplier. I live in a rural community and consequently use internet suppliers for many purchases.
I purchased a rattan furniture set online on 9th July, based on a 5 to 10 working day delivery window. I asked on the order (it was a present) if the delivery could be made to a specific domestic address on any Friday.
No communication, so I chased by email on 16th July for a prospective date.
Apparently, the only delivery date available was a Tuesday, the 23rd July, so the address was reverted to mine. They stated a call would be made up to an hour before delivery
No call, so the 23rd came and went.
On the 24th after chasing I eventually received apologies and was informed a 'warehouse operative' would call. No call but after more chasing I finally recieved a voicemail to say the delivery might be made "possibly next week" - Possibly!!! ?
Ultimatum time. I now required a delivery by Tuesday 30th or the purchase would be cancelled. No prior courtesy call but the goods arrived on the morning of Monday 29th. (to be 'fair' I did get the courtesy call at 07.10 on the following Wednesday 1st August)
All the above was the easy bit. However, below is still very much the responsiblity of the retailer.
Aspects of the rattan set were, not fit for purpose or not as described. The table top glass was too large for its recess (didn't fit) and the seat back cushions had unevenly distributed filling which could not be corrected because of through stitching, rendering the "removable covers" completely non removable.
Following photographic and descriptive evidence sent on the delivery moring the only response was they would "contact the supplier". No proposals at all have been forthcoming from IG as to how they would rectify the issues.
I now have furniture set that in no way could I offer as a present.
On this failure, as a precaution, I have put the matter into the hands of Visa Card administrators and, on the absence of any attempt to offer replacements, I have requested that IG take steps to collect the goods.
In the past I have had delivered, a 'flaky' television, a leaking radiator and a kitchen dresser with a badly fitting drawer. All of those were replaced instantly by the retailer without drama or procrastination. IG is the exception, not the rule.
