I'm impressed with the tech support. I was concerned about how to go about building an updated website in the background. They said to build it on a subdomain and when it's ready to go, just reach out to them and they will transfer it for me! YES!!!
On top of that, the support was pretty much instantaneous.

Scott helped me through a very difficult situation involving WP Rocket plugin. It broke my site and Scott spent 2 hours on the phone with me trying to fix this situation. I cannot express the gratitude towards Scott. He stayed on the phone with me until my solution was fixed. InMotion this is called going above and beyond customer service. I have just bought a 2 year hosting package from inmotion, big mistake. I am having trouble restoring my backup and they have been completely useless. I keep writing to them and they keep ignoring me.
DO NOT SIGN UP WITH this company if you are anywhere but the US.
They claim 24/7 support I have not had a reply for THREE DAYS and now I have asked to cancel I don't expect them to reply at all. I will be going through paypal to cancel as they do not appear to care once they have sold you a package. Worst hosting ever.
I want to add a year ago I had a hosting package with this company and they were good, now they are pig ignorant.
My advice choose a company that cares and answers messages in a timely fashion. To claim that they have 24/7 support is a LIE.

I switched to InMotion Hosting a couple of months ago and have had issues with my main website, but having a tech-support team that is there 24/7 is very helpful. And my Wordpress sites are ZIPPING along, which is QUITE UNUSUAL, but InMotion has a Wordpress-centric server that they say makes Wordpress sites go about 60% faster and I think that is a conservative estimate. Thank you InMotion!

I've been with InMotion Hosting for about 5 years and I love them. Their customer service is superb, and they're all simply people that I like and enjoy dealing with. It's almost impossible in today's business world to talk to a qualified technical support agent. However, the technical support at Inmotion Hosting is #! in the industry. I'm always able to talk to a knowledgeable person who takes care of my problems when I call. They are always very pleasant as well. They help you resolve your problem and also help you understand what they did to fix it. I would recommend Inmotion Hosting to anybody looking for a provider for their website hosting.

Excellent support, the chat system is really wonderful. I was able to be guided through my problem in real time, and the agent was very patient and helpful since that was my first time buying webhosting services. As of my domain DNS transfer, it happened within the range they advertised, which was less than 24h. All in all it was a good experience I'd recommend.

Sneaky business practices - they try to hit you with unexpected costs like auto-charging you when the free trial of their backup manager expires. I got 2 separate invoices of varying charges for auto renewal of the same thing. Both invoices hinted that I could lose my site if I don't pay...I chose to opt out of paying for backup manager and use a plugin to do my backups after reading poor reviews of inmotion's in house backup services.
Pretty sure I'll be moving to a new host once the current term is over.

Excellent service via chat and phone. I haven't had to contact them often, but when I have, InMotion Hosting staff has been prompt, courteous, professional and very knowledgable.
Just one note - if using a Mac, suggest using chat or phone rather than submitting a written ticket. Haven't had much luck getting a ticket into their system.

I'm proud to say that I'm in my tenth year of business and equally proud to say that these guys have been my web hosts since the beginning.
Every single time I've had to call for tech support (more often than I'd like to admit) they have been kind, patient, helpful and never once made me feel stupid as they've walk me through the solution to any problem. I can't recommend them highly enough!

Support has "long" hold times, when they say "can I place you on hold for 3-5 minutes while I research your question" on every single call, expect to wait 20 minute plus.

Would give a 0 or a minus if it was possible. WORST hosting company ever. They will start off nice with warm wishes, welcomes and amazing customer support. Soon as there is an issue on there end, ALL THAT WILL GO DOWN HILL. They will blame you for literally everything and will not take responsibility in anyway. PATHETIC bunch of liars and con artist on there live support chat's as well. STAY AWAY AT ALL COST!

I've dealt with internet hosting companies for many years and switching to inmotionhosting was the my best decision. Their reliability and customer service is outstanding and worth every penny. My old host provider was bought out by another company who now owns a significant number and service degraded badly. When I tried to cancel I finally had to contact my attorney general's office. Having experienced bad service I can thoroughly appreciate inmotionhosting's excellence. When you need customer support they are there to actually talk to you 24/7.

They are absolutely crap. They shut down your websites - EVERYTHING - even if you have 30 websites, they shut down all of them if only one has a suspect attack.
Today they shut down all my website because they suspected a file was infected: eventually this file is the ANTIVIRUS control file by Cwatch.

Server side backups, simple right? Not with Inmotion
I´ve contacted them four times, the first tier is completely useless, they´ll keep you waiting around one hour just to start the chat with your, then they´ll waste another hour of your time until someone realises they don´t know how to handle the failure and they´ll tell you that they´ve done something, if that doesn´t work call in a few days time
When you´ve done that a couple of times, of course you don´t buy it anymore and you want to talk to someone also, someone that knows something or can provide a solution, that´ll cost you another hour of waiting at least, once I could talk to another operator, he couldn´t do anything but he knew what he was talking about. He escalated to the team that really knows and they will send me an email, when the issue was fixed.
I received the email, customer support also contacted me apologising and all that but the issue hasn´t been resolved even though the technical team said all was working fine.
So I contacted them again, of course the first two hours wasted again (one waiting, one with the no clue guy) and I got the usual solution, call another day,
I said I am not leaving until get a solution, supervisor, another operator... something but I´m tired of wasting my time. They hang up on me, just like that

Brand new hosting account, brand new Wordpress install with a strong password and extensive,multiple security added immediately -- hacked within hours with a successful admin login from Indonesia and a hacker-filled zz.php file left at the root directory. All InMotion tech support would suggest is that we hire an "outside security expert." Seriously? We're going to hire a different hosting company that takes security on their servers more seriously.
