Happy with ING, especially refunds of ATM fees and international transaction fees. Getting a bank cheque was also fee-free and very easy!

I have tried to contact ING on the secure message option for 3 days now. One message / day with no responses. Customer service is obviously not the priority of this bank.

After 3 years of holding ING account, I switched to an Aussie bank. If you have any issue accessing your money in ING, you will experience a very difficult time and no customer care at all.

When I got my home loan through ing the interest rate was 3.8%. Since then they have made several increases that put it above the rate offered to new customers. I can understand that in the current financial atmosphere why they are upping rates but I have paid more than double the minimum repayment every week for my 30 year loan. After speaking a loan adviser I have moved product and will likely pay my loan off sooner. Glad to see they have reduced rates at .25 in line with other banks and the RBA. If you feel the product they have offered you is not suitable. Have a chat with their loan team they are very helpful.

i had two yr term deposit 2.85%+0.1% bonus royal interest if keep doing it.
They cancelled the royal interest just in the sudden after 1 yr, i felt unhappy n unacceptable because i lost 0.1% interest rate. I applied for early termination, the guy mentioned i will get my money for total approx 41510 after 31 days. But after 31 days i only received 40880, i called and asked why, another staff mentioned it seemed computer error then will transfer to management team for further investigation. Then next day i called n spoke to one of their management term, they mentioned the amount i received was correct. i said how come the guy gave me wrong info and 630 huge differ. She listened to the record and still kept saying the guy didnt give me wrong info and said the guy said approximate but 630 differ approximate? I dun think so. And why another guy said it was computer error, i always thought i can get my 630 back. I will close all my account with ING. The manager kept saying they didnt give me wrong info of cos she said so becoz don't want to admit that then giving me 630 back!

I have been with ING for ONLY eight months and so far they have raised the interest rate by 0.15 TWICE. I understand that I am using a variable rate product but how variable? Every 3 months variable? I started on 3.75 and ONLY after a few months the rate has gone up to 3.93. With this pace, I am going to get 5+ soon! BE AWARE OF THEIR ADVERTISED RATES! It's just a gimmick to lure you in!

I have been with ING for years and have been happy with their service up until the last 6 months. I have a disputed transaction and have provided them with invoices, email correspondance and still no resolution even after the company I am dealing with acknowledged that a refund is warranted. Very disappointed with the lack of training and service and will now be taking my business to another bank.

This bank is fresh of Noahs Ark. Simple task l wanted 2 bank statements not so simple for them 5 phone calls over 3 days and still mot resolved plus they charge $7 a copy no electronic downloads like other banks. When you ask where are the statements you promised they tell you the process has to go to different teams l wonder if they still write on stone tablets
The statements were urgent and l paid the $14 for both but still do not have them will probably ne a week and cost me quite a bit of time anyone who is fool enough to deal with this prehistoric bank you will learn as l have

We've had an experience where we ordered nursery furniture online from a well known merchant - the total amount was $3,800 and we purchased it with our ING Visa card. The furniture merchant was able to charge our ING account almost double the amount ordered (Over $6900) and ING has no security processes in place to ensure that the amount taken out of our account equals the order amount. So basically if you ordered say a $50 product online with a merchant, ING would allow that merchant to take as many funds from your account as they wish.
We've called ING twice to rectify the matter and both instances have resulted in them suggesting I call the merchant to rectify as they are unable to do so.
I've called the merchant twice and emailed twice and they have not rectified, saying it is ING's mistake
Surely you would expect ING to provide security of your finances if you are their customer. This is not the case. Be warned.

Adore my ING card and how easy they make everything. Execellent simplified communications with all the benefits that make the difference between liking and loving my bank!

Joint the bank as promised easy transactions, but they are worst - only via phone (right now on phone for 40 min already, not sure when will be resolved) or long few pages forms which only can be physically printed, all few pages you have to fill in ( over 30 questions), then scan and then mail or email.
While on the phone, the staff clearly trained to blame you in everything - they have terms and conditions, which are making your fault in pretty much everything, and they will keep making up things blaming you.
AVOID! the worst sharks I have ever seen

We had a Royal Commission to stop the behaviour that ING consider standard practice. Worst customer service ever and they should be ashamed but they dont give a damn.

I have just switched back to ING after selling my house and they are way better then they were many years ago when I first started using them. I am not sure what all the complaints are about Customer Service, I have never seen any other bank that offers 24/7 customer service and I have used them a few times getting everything set up and every time the call was answered with minimal delay and all issues sorted on the first call. On top of that they have the best Fixed Term Deposit and Savings rates going at the moment. Simply cannot be beaten.

I set up an ING account based on the advantages of traveling with their orange saver account. I contacted their call center to arrange the card to be sent to Berlin, Germany, my first destination, as I would be leaving the country in a few days time. I explained this yet got stuck in a cycle in which I was told to update my foreign tax status. This had to be done through the website yet led to a dead end FAQs page. When I contacted them after waiting two weeks for the card to arrive the address they had recorded was completely wrong (even though I spelt it out slowly several times) and even more surprisingly, was located in Georgia, US, instead of Germany.

I never write these but due to my experiences with ING I had to write this,
Firstly I haven't ever needed to talk to anyone as ING allows me to do everything via the app (which in my line of business and work is so much easier).
Also they refund all ATM fees automatically making it easy to access MY money at any time
Then they also give back international fees - an example is in my last two weeks overseas I saved $71 and you know how I knew that, they sent me an email to say Welcome home! and to let me know of my savings.
They have a top up for a savings account which enables me to slowly save more money on the smallest amount of cash (but makes a he difference)
Then most recently I lost my card. I jumped onto the App advised of the lost card, which automatically stopped it - they sent me a text and email to advise they had received a request for a new card to make sure it was for me - but that's not that best part, within 3 business days my card was in the letter box!!! thank you what a BANK!

I wouldn't recommend opening an Orange Everyday Account or a Savings Maximiser because they obviously couldn't careless about their customers and they obviously don't want your business so I definitely would recommend going to another bank where you are felt welcome and treated with respect.

BEWARE! Worst customer service I've ever experienced from a bank. Haven't even been with them for a week and already switching. Save yourself the hassle and don't bother with this bank. You'll be left high and dry.

Bait and Switch beware. Stay away from these guys for homeloans, they give you a good rate and then increase it a day after your loan settles. Their customer service is hopeless, it takes 5 days to get a response on anything. Don't let their 'competitive' products fool you. Their loan products are expensive with high fees for packages and settlements, and they are inflexible, letting you only have 2 transaction accounts. I regret changing to ING and will be changing away as soon as I can.

We switched to ING recently and are really happy with both the service and the products.
Their best feature is that they refund you for ATM charges. Even ATM charges for those pokey little ATM's you find in corner shops and at the back of the pub!

ING is the best change from the big four. No fees, ATM rebates, good customer service, probably the best online banking website and a high interest savings account.
If you are looking to bank with ING here’s a $25 referral code : GBP344

I have two transactional accounts with ING, and to take advantage of their no fee on international transactions I applied for a credit card. In their application process there was no information on their lending criteria - turns out that while they are happy to take my money; they are unwilling to offer credit as I am a New Zealander living in Australia for 8 years now on a Special Category Visa. I now have an enquiry against my credit rating for which I would not have continued with my application had I known that they discriminate!!!! If you are a NZer in Australia stay clear of this dodgy bank.
