There needs to be a better and safer process for car pickup and drop off that verifies the driver and owner have communicated and are on the same page. I was told to travel to a different pickup location after booking a rental car that was 15+ miles away from the stated location on the HyreCar app. I never met the owner of the car, he called me and gave me instructions on how to pick up the car without him being there. The car key was not in a secure place and the car itself had trash everywhere once i picked it up. When i dropped the car back off at the end of my rental period, i followed the instructions given to me by the owner and left the key where i was told. The owner did not verify the car had been dropped off even after speaking with him on the phone and having him tell me that he could see me drop the car off in his home security camera. Without my consent or knowledge, I was charged for an extra day extension of $40 that i need to be refunded for. I will most likely not be using HyreCar again for these reasons and recommend that action is taking for the owner of the car i rented.

I have attempted unsuccessfully multiple times to acquire an account to start working again. Needless to day I've had to start and completely finish a second account because my first account I could not log on to. Unfortunately it kept telling me "ACCOUNT DOES NOT EXIST". Sadly the second account started doing the same thing. I decided to call in for help. I received a call back from a Trevon (whom I've asked to call 2 days prior). He claimed to send me a reset link of which I've never received, ironically I did receive the email requesting my proof of address in which i send my gas bill and STATE ID. Still have not received a reset link from Trevon and can't log on. I've even tried having a link sent myself by tapping forgot password. Still nothing from Hyrecar and all my information is out there. I do not feel they are doing their best to assist me and I'm getting no feedback. SADLY I do not feel my information is safe with HYRECAR.

The customer service representative definitely addressed my concerns but the executive Noe initially promised me a call back but never did so their consistency I'm starting to reevaluate. Truthfully I'm not sure where the problem originates from but until I c other wise training consistency and communication and everyone being on the same page needs to improve dramatically b4 I give a future higher rating

Worst experience ever. Hyrecar is awful. They had 1 Star on yelp and google 6 months ago but they had their lawyers write letters and forced google and yelp to remove the listings because people were seeing how poorly people were feeling after dealing with them

My car was collecting dust, now it's collecting checks. Couldn't be happier with the experience. From onboarding to support, the HyreCar team has been pleasant to work with and improvements to tech / feature releases have continued to impress. It's clear they care about both the owners and renters and make it easy for both sides to bring extra cash.

I had a good experience with them, not great...good.
I had a bumpy start getting my documents verified, but was kept up-to-date with their reps about everything. Got my car as requested, drove for a few days, returned the car and was checked out. Smooth and quick. I will do it again. They helped me understand the ride-share business and I am grateful.

I was renting a car through Lyft's rental program. It restricts you to only earning through their platform. Uber's rentals are the same. As a driver I needed to be able to maximize my earnings while behind the wheel. The pricing is just a little more (considering the weekly rebates) but my earnings are more than doubled. I also don't have a ride count minimum to meet weekly. As long as I earn enough to cover my rental cost and gas I'm good. I am happier and way less stressed out as a driver.

I was interested in a car rental, on line . It then asked me to submit a picture Id and my social security number. I was alarmed about the information an stopped. Then received a email asking if I was still interested. I been planning a trip so I thought why not. So i gave my number an picture, as soon as I sent that. Mark got right back at me within 30 mins asking for credit card numbers. I seen this happen to some about their credit card so gave a old one to him. After all this He didn't get at me I had to call him. He said there are no locations in my area to go an do the test drive or rent the car if I liked it. I asked for something to state I did this an was unable to check about a rental. He said No Not at All. I continued to try an get at him wondering about my information I had sent . No answer by phone or email. I gound this guy an company from doing surveys an liked what it was saying. So I went with it ,because it would have been perfect for my trip. I believe he is taking ppls identites an social security numbers to do illegal things. Agin he will not answer me.

My reservation was to be slated for September 19 - 22nd. Somehow, the reservation booked four days in advance and was charged for, causing confusion on my part for the obvious reasons. I had no intention of paying for more than the days which I requested, however the provider was helpful in letting me know that the charges would be applied once I picked up the vehicle for the amount of days it was used only. Still, this method should definitely be something that is not common practice, otherwise it can confuse someone about what they are paying for.
