Overall, choosing Hike (up to this point in time, about 6 months in) has been a decision that we've been happy that we've made. There have been a few minor glitches, but although tech support can be a little more lengthy process than what I would prefer, their support has been knowledgeable, helpful, and we've been able to resolve each issue that has arisen. As an example, we found a discrepancy in reports that their system would generate and the fixed that immediately. I was impressed with that turn-around. The system is easy to use, easy for new people to understand, has the layer of complexity that we need and desire, and does everything that we want and would like to do in the foreseeable future. The back-end management of inventory is great, and is one of the reasons we chose Hike. There are a few small things I would like to see them do differently that would make the experience even better, but they're not of such a nature that would cause me to not use or choose Hike again. Again, overall, we're happy with Hike...and if I had a friend asking which POS system to use, Hike would be my only suggestion.

We have been using Hike for a little over a year now and find it easy to use and generally quite stable. With any online system, there will be a few glitches but the support team quickly addresses any issues that we report. The front is great - simply for the staff to use. We do find that for our retail environment that the back end reporting is a bit limited but we can usually get the info we need into an Excel file and do the reviewing there.

So far Hike has seemed to accommodate all our needs very well.
We are in the process of incorporating their POS website in over 45 locations around Australia.
The support team has always been very helpful with prompt replies. They're one of the few POS software companies that I've dealt with that actively seeks out feedback from its clients.

I was in search of good system which can support my retail business, and got to know about HikePOS. I had trial for a month like I did for other POS, but I was astonished to find best match for my need and in a day I have decided to go for HikePOS.com.
Thank you to Hike Team who helped me to set up all my requirements in no time. Great support and very easy to use. My team has started using HikePOS with very limited efforts as HikePOS provide nice tutorial and other reference materials in easy to use manner.
I could tick all may requirements of retail stores with single app HikePOS. I would like Hike to provide one feature of quotation.
I would cent percent recommence others to use this. Thank you team Hike for wonderful help.

It doesn't work. I've had the system for a year and it never successfully connected to my acc software. Buggy, crashes and a constant stream of problems. I feel this product is still in development, not ready for commercial use. I have lost a year of accounting reports, customer history etc. Every problem I have ends in a call or email to support, then passed to tec support then problem maybe sorted with in a few weeks. Then another problem occurs. I have spent more time trying to resolve problems that using the program. Save yourself the frustration, stay away.

We highly recommend Hike to any retail store looking to move their POS along with other applications in the cloud. Their customer service is next to none and pricing is reasonable. We’ve setup Hike for 20+ clients in the last 6 months and so far everything so good !!

We are still trialling granted but so far this system does everything I need it to. Also I am super impressed that the guys answer my questions of an evening or weekend which to me is what I need. So far so good :)

My selection criteria for POS for retail stores were costs, connectivity, ease and mobility. HikePOS has made these three criteria possible in once single system. Very good POS system and given it is cloud-based, really cost effective and mobility of access from any where to control my business.
Once should consider HikePOS over.

I like hike reporting can be difficult eg it’s difficult to impossible to do certain searches eg not been able to sort top ten sellers etc,support and workers are fantastic,only issue for me is unable to integrate with square

For over 10 years we were using pen and paper based system and have recently started using Hike. We did not use POS software till now because of 2 reasons, cost and complexity. We were thrilled to find out that neither of these were an issue with Hike. It is very easy to use and cost is very reasonable. With the amount of staff hours we are saving on purchase orders, labels and inventory count, Hike is already making us money!

Great POS system. User friendly and simple, even the 70yr old who works for us knows how to use it. A few hiccups at first but the support staff have been there every step of the way to fix any issues I've had within minutes. Can't say enough about the support network post purchase. Thumbs up!

After working in depth with Hike I found couple of things that I was not happy about that made us decided to put it on hold until the feature that we are looking for has been improved.
We found using (Modifiers/variants) on Hike for products is pain in the neck and was not a smooth process compared to (Square) or (Loyverse) who they have their own issues but when it comes to modifiers/variants they are easy and simple to include.
Old Review :
One of the best POS system I've used, in less than an 30 min. I had my cafe POS running, we've been using a famous POS system, but we found that it had no control on users permission and we had to pay for another outlet or leave, and thank God we left and found Hike.
Here are couple of the things that attracted us before moving to Hike:
- customer support , the online staff is their when you need them, very friendly.
- The backed of their system was amazing, very fast, and I mean it, no POS system can compete with them, we've tested all the top POS , we really did , it's not a joke.
- What we noticed with their system was the way it was designed, you can tell they know how business run, it wasn't just some kind of guru behind a keyboard designing a system.
- Price, price , and price, yes, the price was great compared to other competitors who will try to find anyway to reach to your wallet, these guys were very transparent.
- Integrations; looking at their apps that you can integrate with was amazing, you can connect to most major eCommerce website, and accounting software, so that's a thumbs up for Hike.
- Finally, the trail version : I love it when system owners provide you with a trail version you can use and play around and see if you like it or not, it shows how much they trust their system, so yest we've tested their system and we loved it and without any hesitation we've signed up.

I am very happy with this POS system, it syncs with bigcommerce which saves a lot of time. Label printing is great. Every problem I have encountered has been addressed by support staff and followed up. By the way, I don't think I have ever received a better support with any other platform. Certain things could be improved and I believe it is just a matter of time when it will be done (like option to change cost of the product when receiving the order, which is now already on feature request). I understand that every business has different needs and not everything can be done the way I would like it to be done. It is great that I can create a custom sale and enter the cost as well as retail price and set if product is taxable or not. For me, it is certainly the best POS and inventory system (with option to create purchase orders and receive stock + print labels) that syncs with bigcommerce . Price is very reasonable.

Having used most of the popular POS systems on the market Hikeup offers the finest backup support, very responsive and personalized. We have been in the retail business since 1970, seen all the incarnations of the POS system. My experience is that Hikeup offers the state of the art. Tried this product on on a demo and found so many fundamental bugs and errors it is laughable that anyone would seriously consider implementing this system in their business. It is truly a shame as this product appears to have it all figured out, from handling backorders (special orders), customer management, easy creation of purchase orders and sending them with the ability to edit the content of the ordering email sent, on and on. I was SO excited when I first started working through the system. However, there are many flaws, bugs and downright bizarre and unintuitive design/UI choices that I ultimately had to pass on seriously considering this for our business. Bringing all these bugs up to support brought, after a very lengthy explanation of how it is in fact a bug, does not have a useable workaround, and would doom any business relying on these features, did the promises of getting with the technical team and following up commence, only to hear nothing other than endless "Hi there, how is your free trial going, can we sign you up" emails.
If you are demo-ing the product now, try to add a backorder for two products, take a deposit for the full amount and add a discount to it. Bugs prevent you from being able to do any of this correctly. Then try and figure out why all of your completed sales are marked "awaiting fulfillment," because you forgot to press "add new sale" after printing the receipt... because nothing says complete this order and mark it completed after you have printed a receipt like clicking "add new sale...."
Such a shame, I REALLY REALLY wanted this to be the solution to our ongoing problem of trying to replace Lightspeed: another "could have been" with no support (unless waiting on hold endlessly to be told they will "look into it" and that's that, is support), no bug fixes, and endless nightmare after nightmare I'm trying to end.
Hikeup is in beta testing, and they are using your business to do it. Maybe this will be ready for prime-time in a few years and iterations. I certainly hope so. Until then, I'm returning to my frustratingly endless search for a POS system that has the features we must have, and more importantly, does them correctly. So far, I'm striking out all over the place.

What a breath of fresh air! I love Hike! After suffering with Storis for a year for my client’s five stores I had to find a new POS. Days of research and various demos we landed on Hike. An intuitive, straight forward, easy to use POS with a world-class design and interface. Set up was a breeze and they have great support. I highly recommend Hike POS!

I have many casual staff members who work with our business so I had to take that into consideration when shopping for a new POS system for our store. I looked and compared about 8 different systems until I finally chose HIKE for it's simplicity of use in the front of the house. Now with that being said, it still has all the powerful inventory management and other features I need in the back of the house and is still easy to use.

Hike is gennerally a good system, but it has major flaws, and a very unflexible customersupport.
If you are an eccomerce wanting to set up hike, be aware that the system requires an register for your store in order to have sales synced across the platform, this is not told anywhere on the website. My experience is at customer support, is unstructured, several times the have promised to investigate an issue and you never hear from them again. Settings are changed in the system from 2 way to one way sync which lead to Hike pushing different prices to my products which has cost me well above 200$ the last month because items were sold under my buying price. All in all Hike has been a very expensive system for me. Compensation, is hard to get.
Furthermore the support from them always starts with basically insinuating that you are the problem at not the system, never the less the system keeps failing, products keeps not syncing, without any changes made from your side as a customer with them.
I am fed up, with them. Only reason they get 2 stars instead of one, is that the system could be great, if it were actually working, but i would never recommend anyone to try this out, as it would most likely cost your business much more money than it makes.
