We rent an apartment from them. We reported the damages and they don’t accept them. No excuse was given, they never visited to inspect the damages. All they want is to get money out of the deposit by charging you for damages they did.
I don’t know if they do it to everyone or it is a racist thing because we are not Danes.

We experienced a very fast and uncomplicated process to find nice and affordable accommodation with Heimstaden.
As expats coming to Copenhagen, we are especially thankful for the good support that we received in all questions related to moving to Denmark.
We are looking forward to moving into our new apartment!

Absolutely horrible service. It took over a month for me to get my name on the door and on my mailbox. I don't think that's a hard task imo.
Plus, there is this horrible garbage smell every month out in the hall that swoops its way in my kitchen. I feel like I'm living in a garbage bin, the smell is foul. So many people have complained about it but they either can't get through to you or I was directed to send an email...but every email I send always takes over a month to get a response.
Either clean the bins more often or do something about the ventilation. PLEASE!

I wrote earlier about my bad experience with their customer service and moving out - Heimstaden answered they had reached out to me and that I did not get back to them - that is not true I answered and gave my contact information but never heard back.
The story continues.... regardless of written confirmation from Heimstaden I have now 6 weks after the lease formally ended still not recieved back the money left over from the deposit. When sending Heimstaden mails about this they have not repsonded/reacted in any way. No need for you Heimstaden to answer to this and tell me where to contact you as I already have and you know where to reach me.
Strongly recommend to avoid Heimstaden.
After several weeks and the same kind of service attitude I finally got the money paid out to me that rightfully belonged to me. During this process I got different calculations, explanations ( no account number, tried calling even if I have no missed calls or messages....) etc depending on who you talked with. Only after I informed that I contacted a lawyer the process started somewhat moving. Here at Trustpilot they claim in my reviews that they have tried to reach out to me and that I can send emails or call their leaders directly - I tried but have not heard a word from any of the leaders and no one has tried to contact me .
I will still have to take a new “fight” when the final heating calculations come at end of year as they have withheld money for that and normally I have always been paid back, but lets see what happens in August/September
Still strongly recommend to keep away from them if possible and if not make sure you have a lawyer involved

The apartment we received had a multitude of problems. The way it works is that when you move in, you have two weeks to submit a report about the flaws. Well, there were some major flaws that hindered us from using the rented property. For some reason it has been made very difficult to establish efficient communication with Heimstaden, so our move in was very delayed and caused us great inconvenience and unforseen expenses. Further fixing of issues by the company has been an absolute disaster - it has taken months and there are still ongoing problems. Some issues were “fixed” by obviously unskilled or illiterate handymen because the problems continue. It has been the most nerve wrecking experience and I can say from the bottom of my heart that I abhor this company and make sure to tell everybody that is looking for a rental to steer clear of Heimstaden.
You will see many glowing reviews in Danish. Just pay attention that most of these users only have one review and that’s for this appalling company.

Terrible experience so far with Heimstaden.
We moved in on April 1. and requested maintenance shortly after, to fix multiple problems in the apartment. We called 5 times, emailed, and nobody has been sent yet.
We are talking about the fact (among others) that we cannot close our bedroom window, so not only aesthetics but plane safety.
The administration couldn't care less, honestly, it's all we get from the numerous phone calls. With the amount of rent we pay, that's just ridiculous.
Update on 6 May 2019.
1 month and 1 week after moving in, everything that could be fixed has been fixed. The last bit was fixed this morning.
The experience with booking maintenance to come has been a pain, but at least all the work has been carried out well, thank you to the contractors that came and took care of things.

I think that the company and especially the consultant Michael Heinsbæk was very helpful, kind and easy to get in contact with anytime. I would recommend them again!
