The experience from start to finish was very professional. Our fitter Darren was excellent he was prompt, did an outstanding job fitting our wardrobe and left the room clean and tidy. I would definitely recommend Hammonds.

Where can I start !! Amongst other issues, the 2 mirrored (floor to ceiling) doors for the bedroom bowed very quickly after fitting.
After several photos were sent & lots of hassle, an engineer finaly visited and sure enough agreed that the doors should be replaced.
Months later, when a fitter came, lo & behold he had brought the wrong doors. 6 weeks later after new doors were ordered, and a new appointment arranged for today, I've waited in all day for the new fitter to arrive, and after phoning him, he is now telling me that he hasn't put the doors in his van this morning so won't be coming !!
It's just farcical. I would understand if this was an April fool's joke, but alas, its not and we are left high & dry once again.
Hammonds should be deeply ashamed, what a disgrace !! My reference number is CU833

Very disappointed and still waiting an update. Finally ordered my furniture after chasing and chasing hammonds to come out and meet us. It all arrived. Finishing touches awful, nothing lined up, marks and dirt everywhere, everything about it was awful. The fitter got glue on my carpet which was laid 2 days prior. It's been 2 weeks and I'm still awaiting to find out what hammonds will do about it. I have to just wait as no one will give me the number if who is dealing with it. Dressing table was fitted wrong. I ordered an extra deep and only a standard was fitted. Agsin after 2 weeks of trying to get this issue sorted I said I would just keep it and have the refund for the difference. Absolutely gutted but funnily enough they came straight back and was gappy to offer me the £18 back. Not even a little extra to say sorry for my disappointment. We had a fitter come to fix the original fitting. 2 days and he still hasn't given the report to hammonds for the two parts that need to be replaced. Il be glad to get everything finalised and finish with them.

Dreadful from start to finish. Months and months to complete the job after ordering a complete set of fitted wardrobes. Overpriced, and customer service that is utterly shocking. I wish I’d never come across these fools. They made our lives a misery for five months.

Just completed my business with Hammonds.
I will not be using them again and I would strongly recommend anyone not to use them under any circumstances.
Doubtless, my tale will be very familiar with other sufferers of their incompetence.
The job of fitting a wardrobe/storage was given 1.5 days to be completed. As the job included complex angles it should have been allocated to a high grade fitter. Unfortunately after three days slog and much cursing the assigned fitter left the site stating that he could not complete the mission.see photos below. I live in an apartment and space is at a premium so 28 days of turmoil ensued, complicated by the arrival of our daughter from University. At this point we were climbing over the piano to sit on the couch. To be fair the customer agent was sympathetic and assigned a manager to visit and report on the sorry state of affairs. Again the regional manager was very professional and agreed that the job should never have been allocated to a low grade fitter in the first place. Eventually a top fitter arrived and completed the job. He was first class. He had to dismantle what had been erected in the first place in order to level the doors. The original fitter had even put batons on upside down.
After the job completion I contacted Hammonds to see if they would compensate me for their incompetence as follows:
A. You assigned a Fitter to complete the job who was unable to do so. The Fitter was a grade described by the regional Fitter as lowest grade (out of three grades). The job should have been assigned to a grade of Fitter ( highest level preferably) who could deal with the multiple angles of the units and create levelled furniture. Quote “ He should have had an experienced fitter with him. The job was going to an experienced fitter originally but the job was reassigned at a late stage.”
B. Quite simply if Hammonds had CONTROL of the job allocation. They executed that CONTROL negligently which resulted in the job being beyond the capability of the assigned fitter, spent materials and consequent delay.
C. It was within the CONTROL of Hammonds to foresee probable difficulties with the allocation of the fitter.
D. Parting words of the first fitter, very distressed, “ You’ll have to get a Manager (Fitter) to do it. I will phone the Customer Services on Monday, leave it with me, you do not need to contact them.”
The issue is not the length of delay but the fault of Hammonds in correctly assigning the job to a competent fitter in the first place.
Of course their policy and practice seems to be about fire-fighting and avoiding any recompense being paid. They did the so called escalation exercise but several promises to contact me were not met. Eventually they contacted today with many we are sorry but ...
I pointed out that it really wasn’t worth their while to treat customers in this way and that they should be chasing perfect evaluations if their products and fittings were worth their claims.
They are not bothered about bad reviews, doubtless they will employ every tactic to limit their impact rather than addressing the problem. Only the bottom line seems to count...£.
I promised them stinking reviews.
So good luck if you are in dispute with them. Do not expect too much though in the end.

Lovely wardrobes from a dead space under stairs to very chic looking room. Designer came out but I had already drawn my ideas so just to make sure it would work. Suveryer came out checked would all work and to check angles.
Fitter came very pleasent local chap did a really good job he encountered challenges along the way due to designer and suveryers not being discriptive about finishing and other technical angles.
Chris the fitter had seen these problems prior to starting and had consulted with me on how to resolve these.
If it hadn't been down to his knowledge thing could have gone very wrong.

Hammonds furnature NEVER AGAIN. Fitted Bedroom. Took 4 months to fit and sort the problems. 4 complaints ignored. After first fit told I wasnt entitled to new replacement for a damaged Door and they would book a french polisher (Total waist of time) but only if I paid the final installment. After threatening them with consumer right act did they replace the door. Very poor quality finish Draws and shelves with razor sharp edges. I must have had 10 emails requesting the final payment before the work was completed. Money Grabbers With very poor customer service. GRRRRRRR

Before I start this review it is not against the quality of the bedroom furniture.it is the installation of the furniture and the time it takes to have fitters back to put things right.my personal view is a it has been a terribly painful stressful experience.it has been nearly a year to get action and then it is the future dates given months ahead .even though every agent of gammons have stated these works I use there words shoddy workmanship and we have been treated badly.i could go and list the faults and let downs but I don’t think it would help so I shall await action.

We chose Hammonds based on their professional approach, their ability to demonstrate digitally what we wanted was appropriate and looked aesthetically pleasing. Their communication throughout the process has kept us informed and Chris the fitter who installed the furniture was clearly well trained and did a first class job. We are very pleased with the final result and would happily recommend Hammonds as a quality provider and installer of fitted wardrobes.

The product is excellent but the designer we had didn’t really listen and kept including stuff we didn’t ask for and missing things we did. The fitters have to work ridiculously hard for not much money. We had. Couple of issues at the fitting stage which went back to the designer and surveyor stage which Hammonds needed repeatedly chasing about and took nearly 6 weeks to put right.
My advice is to expect mistakes and poor customer service. The product in the end is excellent but honestly a pain in the butt to get as you want or expected .

Terrible customer service; got fitting dates wrong from the start then changed them, then attempted to cancel on the installation day. Such a shame as the product and fitter cannot be faulted. Second time of using Hammonds, first seamless, second and obviously final a shambles.

The whole experience, from order to fitting was seamless.
The hard work was done by Michael the fitter. He communicated excellently both before and during the fit. He did an excellent job, clean, neat and tidy. We are very pleased with the finished product.
We only gave a 4 because we never give 5's on the basis that we're sure that something, somewhere could be improved.

This is our fourth Hammond's bedroom furniture fitting. Our job was completed today leaving us with a very well fitted set of wardrobes, shelves and drawers. Everything left clean and tidy. Very considerately and professionally handled by Ben and many thanks to him for the work he’s done.
