I received a virtual gift card for a local business. The person who gave me the gift has bank records that show he paid the local business, but in fact, the money apparently went to Clover. Clover cannot be redeemed through a QR code so that same money was then turfed to Gyft. I was forced to download the GYFT app on my iPhone in order to redeem. HOWEVER, although it shows up online on the Mac app, that same gift card is not on the iPhone version of the Gyft app. I cannot carry my Mac to the business so I cannot redeem. Calls to customer service are answered by a person who can only tell you that you will receive an email within 24 hours! No customer support, no ability to access the gift, nothing. I finally went through Gyft on safari on my phone and found the QR code- but the phone app simply does not work and when a customer buys a gift card from a local business they have no idea it is going through TWO internet businesses, at least one of which is hugely flawed.

Whatever you do, just DO NOT do business with this company. I purchased a gift card, and my account was charged. When at the store for the gift card, it did not go through. But it says that I used it. It has been two weeks now and I cannot get through on the telephone. The only email I have recieved in two weeks has been "Some times people forget that they used it, are you sure you didn't forget?" This company is a scam.

I'd never heard of gyft until today when I received an email with my password reset link. I never signed up with gyft, therefore I wouldn't have requested a password reset. Do not use this app!!

I'd give them zero stars if I could. I had never used them, signed up for them or even heard of them until I started getting requests to reset "my" password. I've tried numerous times to email them and let them know and they just flag whatever acct is using my email address and tell me to reset my email password (which of course I did immediately). I've now received like 5 or 6 emails to reset my password. And customer service is terrible as they've only replied to like every other email I've sent. So one of the last ones I sent asking them to not allow any account opening with my email just for got ignored.

I attempted to purchase a $25 gift card however, a message popped up that there was an issue processing my order and I would have to wait 48 hours for the issue to be resolve. Considering that I needed the gift card right away I opted to cancel before processing. I thought everything was okay until I received an email shortly after saying my order was processing and pending. I immediately called and spoke with a representative who assured me that the refund had processed and I would get my funds in 24 hours. I asked could I be sent an email confirming that and after being put on hold for 5 min I was told that it wasn’t an option. I asked for a supervisor who confirmed refund was processed and she sent an email confirming refund and that it would be 10 DAYS BEFORE I RECEIVED MY MONEY!! What happened to the 24 hours??? !! Gyft sucks! Stay away!!!

It’s really half a star, if that. Buyer beware! Gyft has tons of glitches. Once you pay them, you’re on your own. Customer service speaks a different language although it sounds a lot like English; they just don’t make sense and they don’t understand what you tell them. *tone deaf*

Honestly seems like a scam. I've never heard of it before and suddenly I get mails from them. I've never made an account, nor have I shown any interest in buying giftcards at all.

An unauthorized user has signed up for an account using my email address. Once I received an automated communication from Gyft, I requested they terminate the account and secure my contact information. The first incident was in June '19 and it happened again in October '19. Despite several reports filed with Gyft, I have not received a response.

I have only experience with loading my gift cards I obtained elsewhere and then load them all on gyft for the ability for our family of 4 to access any card wherever they are. It definitely has glitches but have not been able to find any other app that offers this. No issues with my own cards loaded to the wallet. I would recommend raise.com to purchase physical or eCards. They are great. Guarantee they work and quick response for issues and replacement. They seem to be very cautious to who they allow to sell, as I had many more issues with other discounted gift card sites.

It is very likely a significant portion of the traffic through this app is fraudulent at best. Do not use it. I get regular requests to confirm my email with them despite having never used their site or app myself.

Worst experience ever. Was trying to buy a hotels.com gift card and my card was being declined. Tried several cards but same thing. Customer support could not find a solution. Total waste of time.

I honestly wish I could give this company no stars. Customer service is horrible. I spoke to a representative namers Melissa through email over the last 12 days. I like to have stuff in writing, however I actually called and spoke to a Taylor today 4/25/19, and I asked for a manager, he told me Melissa was the highest person, upper management. So I ask again, there is nobody over Melissa? Taylor says no. Next I ask, Who is Melissa’s boss? Does Melissa own Gyft? He responds and says No.
Here’s my issue.
I received two gift cards through MoneyLion via reward points. I received those gift cards in February. I went to use them recently and found out that there was zero balance on one of them and the other the gift card is linked to someone else’s account.
Gyft provides fulfillment for Money Lion. Melissa told me to contact EBay in regards to the cards and I did. EBay told me that the cards have been redeeemed the same day they were issued? However, EBay confirmed they were NOT redeemed by me nor my account. They could not tell me who redeemed them.
I reach back out to Gyft at this time to explain to them what EBay told me. I must add that I provided Melissa with pictures to verify both accounts on money lion and EBay. So not only did I provide proof of reviving the cards, I provided proof of my purchasing history on Ebay. Melissa gave me the same automated response you would typically hear. They do not provide refunds and so forth and that I need to work it out through moneylion or eBay.
My complaint with Gyft is specifically with customer service. Laziness shouldn’t be associated with customer service. I do it every single day. Melissa should’ve contacted MoneyLion herself after I reached out to Ebay and then had to reach back out to Gyft. Bottom line, after all information was put out there, it comes down to being an issue between Gyft and Money Lion. Has nothing to do with EBay so the fact that Taylor on the phone told me to contact Ebay again even after Melissa said it, just sends the image “we’re not responsible, I don’t care what the situation is, looks, sounds like, we don’t give refunds and could care less”.
Nice message to send to customers Gyft.
Fast forward to today, I was about to get Money Lion to expedite the issue.

Absolutely horrible customer service, uneducated about their own policies, and unable to even form coherent sentences.
Took a “payment” from me for a Gift Card I never received or consented to payment for due to a 24 hold. Their own site assures you “You will not be charged if you cancel now”. Horseshit.
Do yourself a favor, go to Amazon, Walmart, or Target. They are all better placed to get gift cards then this scam website .

LESS THAN 1 IS NOT AN OPTION HERE BUT SHOULD BE - if you let a merchant put money on this useless card - you lose your money forever if the merchant closes down or moves.....THIS IS A SCAM - NOT SURE WHO HAS MY MONEY BUT THIS IS THE RESPONSE FROM GYFT when I asked for my money off of the CARD.

Hello,
Thanks for contacting Gyft!
We apologize for any inconvenience. Unfortunately, we are not the merchant of record and did not receive payment from you. Since the gift card was purchased directly from the merchant and they have gone out of business, you will need to contact them for a refund on your purchase or see what other options are available to you. If you are unable to get ahold of them, please contact your financial institution for additional information on how to obtain a refund for your gift card purchase.
Regards,
Kathy

I have 250 new gift cards to prepare for my holiday rush and special "buy 4 get 1 free" on Black Friday and they don't work. There is no way to escalate the issue on the phone so they say they will get back to you in 24 to 48 hours. A week later I had called every day and nothing except that it is escalated and I should hear by email. I finally get an email from the second tier support and my emails back bounce. This company does not care about customer satisfaction. I am halfway through my holiday season and still no resolution. I am a small business and can't afford this.

updated after 2 days - I got all 4 lowes gift cards and used those right away without any issues.
so I changed my rating from 1 to 3
be aware that getting gift cards takes over promised time frame.
what's more - it isn't instant as you expect from online order for e-gift, but far longer.
nothing like you buy from amazon e-gift as example or other online.
if you in no rush than it's ok
I placed the order 10/20/2018
24 hours later and no code for Lowes gift card
called several times, rep promised to escalate
so many bad review online and at bbb, but I got to know only after I placed the order
so much wasted time and energy
it was promised to get gift card with 10% discount in minutes
yes, I got confirmation email in a minute, but I can't use the gift card
online it shows "Sorry, your payment is still pending. You will be able to reveal this code as soon as the payment is processed."
while money from my credit card were taken right a way.
Now I was told to wait for another 48 hours
so far I've wasted time and opportunity to buy at Lowes

I give them a "minus 3 stars." Awful, awful, awful experience! Terrible customer service. Issue never resolved. No understandable explanation given . . . just run-around after run-around. It's not the $10 of mine that they kept but the principle of the thing and the fact that there is absolutely no customer service. Very frustrating experience. "We can't help you at this phone number. You have to call our other department. No, I can't give you that number; try Goggling it." I did try. There is no other number available. Finally did get somebody from "the other department" to call me but it was the same old run-around I gotten from them during the previous months of trying to resolve my issue.
