Excellent service, straight forward dealings with both Kade and Miguel. Clear information throughout process, thrilled with van would recommend staff at Rayleigh branch they were very attentive and had my needs as a customer throughout the whole process.

I was looking at trading my van in for another one which met my needs a bit more.
I went into Essex Ford Rayleigh and spoke to Kade Rendall. Kade found me a brilliant van exactly what I was looking for (except the colour) but i grew to love the colour he got it brought straight to Rayleigh for me and once I saw it in person it was a no brainer. Kade was extremely helpful and friendly he felt more like my mate than a salesman which I prefer he was 100% honest and really made my experience at Essex Ford worth while and I will definitely returning in the future.
Also the sales manager Chris is also a top bloke very helpful and friendly and we all had a good laugh and a bit of banter every time I went to the show room :)

appalling service, from car sales to service. They’ll sell you a service plan, but yet items not ‘covered’ and nor to they tell you what they’ve done until you pick the car up and forced to pay a bill. In addition sales man clueless on what the service intervals is. Would advise using an alternative ford dealer.

My wife phoned the Billericay garage yesterday (which ofcourse isn't Billericay as all calls are forwarded to central switchboard who you then have to ask for Billericay garage), after speaking to three different people she was eventually passed thru to Billericay repairs but there was no one available to take the repair booking. They took all her details and promised to phone back but they didn't.
I followed up today and eventually got thru to Billericay branch who told me they were short staffed and didn't have technicians available. That is absolutely fine and very pleased with his honesty, he suggested I speak to Dunton.
I phoned Dunton (main switchboard) who put me thru to Dunton, after phone rang for a considerable amount of time somebody answered. I told her the issue and she tried to connect me thru to book repair, this wasn't possible and I ended up speaking to same girl again who asked if I was in the Dunton area and it was Dunton I wanted, I was tempted to tell her no I was just randomly phoning garages but resisted and told her it was Dunton garage I needed. She tried again but no answer, asked if I wanted to leave my details but having not confidence I would be called back I declined.
I can see why EAG being such a large group would want to centralise their operation and reduce costs, on paper it makes sense, the reality is it's an absolute shambles, each person you speak to takes down your details but when I phoned to chase up my wife's attempted booking they had no details, zilch! It's not as is I'm not already on the database as my car has been booked in for many a service over the years.
The last time i booked a service with Billericay garage the quoted me £1200 to repair two oil leaks, I took it to a local garage and paid £230 to resolve the issue which wasn't what they said it was. Normally I would bother with this group but it's a electric issue and I need diagnostics so I have no choice and they have a monopoly in this area so they don't feel the need to offer a decent service.
I've given up, and phoned Lookers in Chelmsford. The person who answered my phone booked my car in and it took 3-4minutes to explain the issue and make booking.

Bad experiance. Ordered a KIA Picanto 3 at Kent Elms and was shown by Derek a very dark red but after 15 weeks when the car arrived it was bright red and non-metalic. I had lie after lie from Clint and was told Derek was off sick and got Ombudsman involved as they registered the car without me seeing it plus had the finance the day before handover. DO NOT USE these people

I have been trying to speak to someone from the Basildon parts department. The main switchboard answers quite quickly and transfers you to the parts department but that's as far as it goes. I have Spent over 10 minutes on hold over 7 different call and still no one picks up. Can get through to sales no problem. Seems once you buy a car they no longer have to care about customer service

As I have done for 20 years I took my car in for a service at the Kent Elms dealership. They advised that several bushes needed replacing and would I like them to do the work. This was at 11.00 am and they said they couldn't be sure the work would be done by that day so would it be OK if they kept it overnight if that was the case. Fine I said expecting to pick it up sometime the next morning,At 4.45 pm the next day I called to ask why they hadn't phoned to say my car was ready. they replied that they hadn't started work on it despite leading me to believe it would be completed early that day.So I paid for the service, asked for my keys and they had the cheek to ask if I wanted to book the car in for the work! So, 20 years a customer, 5 new Mondeo's purchased and one days wages lost. I will be someone else's customer in the future.

I have no complaint about the sales team the servicing/booking team however a different matter. I have a 2018 registered Mustang GT and wanted an (unscheduled) oil change carried out. I booked online and received a call to confirm a date 18/10 time 8am and cost £145.
Today 17/10 I called with a question only to be told they had absolutely no record of my booking whatsoever. This isn't the first time they have let me down either, on previous occasions they have failed to return calls when asked questions they needed to investigate.
Its a good job I checked first otherwise I would have completely wasted my time !
All in all....very poor !

Last June we paid to have our c-max bonnet re-sprayed at the essex ford body shop in Basildon, we were happy with the quality of the work, however the admin side leaves a lot to be desired..... it took 2 e-mails and a phone call to get it booked in, essex ford said they didn’t receive the e-mails, but they were never returned as un delivered!, while we were there, we mentioned some paint blisters on the tailgate, the assessor agreed to submit a warranty claim to ford, despite a 7 month wait, we have still not had a decision made, i have rung 3 times and been told that they would ring me back, but they never do, 7 months for a warranty claim?

I have seen all the bad reviews and I understand peoples fustration,
my experience was a little rocky at first but the management team came up trumps, especially a guy on the front desk called Taariqul Islam, he was very helpful and went that full 100 yards.
i would use them again and spread the word as well.

I have recently used the Essex Auto Group Body Shop for the painting of a rear Spoiler that I have now fitted to my new Kuga Vignale (I don't understand why Ford do not fit the rear Spoiler to one of their top of the range models).
Upon collecting the completed painted Spoiler, I am very happy with the colour match (Magnetic Metallic) and the finish on the clearcoat. The price was resonable and their work guaranteed. An all round good job done.

After several years of buying cars & services being carried out i can safely say we won't be using Dunton Ford anymore!
In March of this year our car required a new fuel filter at a cost of £185 (investigate & replace)..... The car was then serviced last Friday at a cost of £529.70 over the weekend whilst checking through the service documents we noticed that a new filter had been replaced on the car at a cost of £91.98. This afternoon we popped into the store and questioned why the technician had not picked up on the fact the filter was 5months old and did not need changing. Apparently "The technicians do not have access to the cars history" so he would not have known the filter had been changed.
I asked the desk team member if he would be happy in paying out £91 for a part that was only replaced a short while ago... He agreed and would not be happy... But this is where no further attempt was made by the employee to discuss a refund...
Allen Ford / EAG over the years we have spent £70k+ in buying cars from you and £1000's in servicing our vehicles...

Previous major services carried out by EAG did not include fuel filter replacement Allen Ford scheduled maintenance major service includes a new filter this was not mentioned when booking the car in that the service content had changed....
If this is how you treat Ford Employees i would hate to see how the general public are treated.

Got my new car from them, but not had much dealing with them since, The car I have is a Focus ST Line X, 2017, been very Happy with the car until a stone hit the front fog light, I then found out, what a STUPID design they are, they are about 12 inches off the ground and some Idiot put glass lenses in them and you can't buy the just the glass, its all one unit at £75 + fitting, so if you are unlucky you could be buying one a week, so beware,
