Terrible company! Took advantage of my elderly parents by calling and making their price look great. I found out today that my parents have been paying nearly 3 times the cost per kh than their default supplier First Energy. They are paying 13.1 cents per kh as opposed to 5.5 with First Energy. Very sneaky company!

My first impression is a bad one of this company. I received a notice in the mail of this being my FINAL ELECTRIC NOTICE. There was no company name or return address on the outside of this scam letter, and the back had security print all over it as checks that come in the mail have.
It was all a head game! I resent businesses that play head games like this on potential customers. The last thing I want to do is be a sucker who would do business with people who treat me this way
I have not and will not do business with this company. I prefer paying more to PPL, if these joker's claims are correct than pay less to a company I cannot trust.

I have National Grid for Electricity and my bills were $500 a month so I called National Grid and they said it was because I had Eligo energy supplier which was a third party energy suppler!! I don't remember EVER signing any paperwork or receiving anything in the mail so I called Eligo and they said that I had a recorded agreement with them which I never remember, so they played it back and I couldn't hear anything but muffled sounds. I insisted that I want a reimbursement for these charges towards my balance at National Grid. I am retired and am on a fixed income and cannot pay these charges and I will be calling a lawyer if this isn't resolved. Please be aware of any calls regarding lowering your bill from National Grid because my bills tripled!!!! I am very upset and have health issues and I believe I was misrepresented with these people.

Any company that sends an envelope stating in bold caps "FINAL ELECTRIC NOTICE". ATTN RECIPIENT: REQUEST FOR IMMEDIATE ACTION... " can get bent! This is one of the most ridiculous and offensive marketing ploys ever. A good friend of mine is my mail carrier. Mail like this insinuates that my wife and I do not pay our bills. You will never get my business... Absolutely terrible!!

Eligible Energy overcharged us!
My electric bills over this past winter kept increasing even though the thermostat was never set higher then 50 degrees and we were USING a woodstove to supplement the heat. We had to wear layers and still were paying over $300 a month for electric.
I called my electric supplier to have my meter checked only to find out I was being charged double the amount per killowatt hour by the Eligo company.
So they charge you the 'bait' rate and then conveniently 'switch' you to double your rate with absolutely no warning!
In a time when many of us are barely making ends meet you would do this?
Thanks a lot Eligo Energy, not that you care!
I'll have to research who to contact to have this practice shut down!

I have been a customer since 2016 with my primary residence. Everything was fine for the first couple of years, but I noticed that my bills were getting higher and higher even though my energy usage was consistent. I began to look through my current and past bills and Eligo was charging me over 120% of the market rate for a KWH! I was floored. I looked through my records and never received a letter from them warning me of any increase. I tried calling them, but I was put on hold forever. I immediately canceled and I am in the process of sending an email to my state rep as I believe this action is illegal.

No issues; even kept our power and phone on through brutal winds. Nothing makes one appreciate electricity as much as when one loses it...or the possibility due to severe weather alerts. Pleased with Eligio Energy.

These people called me during business hours which is fine but I was trying to sleep so I said I didn’t want to talk about it today call me back in a few days if you want. Not today. The guy got rude with me like it’ll only take a few more minutes. I had only had 2 hours of sleep I didn’t care how much longer it would take I wanted 5 more MINUTES of sleep if I could. “Call me back I don’t care” I said to him. Again he became a bully. I asked to speak with a supervisor and he said he was one and then I said let me speak to whoever is your boss then. She was also rude to me. Now I have had 2 hours of sleep and I can’t go back to sleep because of them. When working over the phone customer service and someone says they aren’t interested you don’t bully them, you say ok sorry for taking your time, I hope you have a great day thank you and then you hang up. DO NOT speak with these people.

The bad winter caused us higher bills, but as the weather has calmed some, our bills have been steadily come down. We are very happy with our service. I would recommend Eligo.

Great initial 3 month rate at 4 cents/kwh but watch out because with no warning it went to 14 cents/kwh vairable rate. I asked for money back on the overcharge. Their 2 year rate is 5.77cents.kwh while my old supplier is at 5.48 cents/kwh. Smacks of greed and fraud.
Eligo did reach out to me but refused to refund or credit me their overcharge which amounts to several hundred dollars. So I contacted my State Representative who confirmed Eligo's actions are unlawful. As promised to Eligo, I filed this complaint on Eligo at Ohio Public Utility Commision and switched to my former supplier.

Originally I signed up for three properties for 3 year contracts; after about 6 months I got a bill with higher rate on one property. I called and they had not locked in the rate for 3 years on two of the properties. They gave me a choice and set a 3 month contract on the two properties. I did not receive notice that the contract was expiring so received statements with rates 3 and 4 times the previous rate. I canceled on two properties, but still have Eligo as the supplier on the one property that they correctly listed as 3 year contract. It won't be there for long as it is worth the $40 cancelation fee to be rid of this headache.

I've had the pleasure of working with Eligo Energy for several years and I cannot honestly say enough good things about this company. The customer service and support team is by far the best in the industry and you can clearly see they don't try to go cheap or save money in these very important areas that you see a lot of companies cut corners. The people are all great professionally but more importantly personally they are great people. Here's to your continued successes and I look forward to working with this great company!
