Bought a Gardenline chain saw at Aldi (with a 3 year warranty) which worked well for over 1 year. Developed a problem whereby it would not suck up petrol from the tank. Contacted Aldi, who were very nice, and they referred me to Einhell for a warranty claim. I spent months trying to deal with Einhell ... whom I found to be evasive, difficult and downright accusatory. In the end, when I stated that I did not accept their dismissal of my claim, they said I could go back to start and apply all over again .... but to be aware that if they found the slightest discrepancy that I would be charged for all costs. So I emailed Aldi again with all the relevant correspondence with Einhell .... and Aldi immediatley gave me a reference number to take the saw into the local store for a complete refund. I would never buy a product where Einhell were the warranty provider. An awful company.

This is truly an awful outfit. When I bought my lawnmower it arrived very quickly. Unfortunately it had a fault. The person I spoke to in their advice department wasn't familiar with the model and although he was very friendly it was only down me that stopped the entire thing having to be returned and replaced.
Two years have passed and the starter unit failed.
I tried to order a replacement online but despite the part allegedly being in stock the transaction failed.
I placed an order via the telephone on September 26th when I was advised the allegedly in stock item wasn't in stock and would have to come from Germany. A 2-3 week exercise apparently.
The part didn't arrive.
These things do happen and I spoke to Einhell 10 days ago and they ordered a replacement.
That hasn't arrived.
This morning I spoke to someone on the telephone who advised me that neither the first order or the replacement had ACTUALLY been placed. She did however offer to replace the postage charge.
There are other mowers out there and unless you're planning on buying one that never needs parts I'd shop elsewhere.

I had a workzone table saw from ALDI. I wasn’t aware until it blew up that Einhell were the company behind it. Contacted them and asked to email a copy of 2 labels on saw. When they got the email I had to post them the exact same labels....pointless. Heard nothing more for 2 weeks even though I posted next day delivery. They said the were sending me a replacement saw. 6 weeks later the saw arrived. Totally inferior to the workzone which alone is surprising. The table was bent and buckled, the measure was so damaged the rip fence would not attach and every time you switched it on it blew the electric. I contacted Einhell customer services who tried to tell me it was a superior saw. Lol ok it’s half the size, half the power, buckled, bent, has half the measure strip and doesn’t have the laser so nope it’s in no way superior it’s an absolute bag of ....... called them back and said as much and they arranged for a courier to collect the saw and they would give me a refund. That’s 2 weeks ago, have I got my refund, have I Einhell. Never, ever see such a poor quality tool, terrifying really when you consider the damage a table saw can do. Please avoid them like the plague. There’s a reason why their cheap!

Purchased a rotary tiller from Toolstation, all was well, until the second use, when i noticed a crack, however from that point on, it all went down hill, advised me parts were out of stock and would be for the next 28 days, failed to collect the machine 3 times, ended up getting a refund from toolstation, shame given i was quite happy with the machine

For the second time in 18 months the bag on my leaf blower/vacuum failed. First time was worn through (replacement was provided after some hassle) second time was a busted zip. When the replacement came the zip failed after 5 uses and this time I complained heartily. To their credit a refund was issued and a new bag sent with an assertion that my experience is most unusual. Engine and other components are decent quality and the response to the bag issues restored my confidence in Einhell and their customer service.

What a company this shower of sheet are.... German Engineering at its worst. I wanted a decent table saw for my workshop. I am a hobbies so spending hundreds on one was not an option. I did some research and found what I was lead to believe by the customer service was a good solid hard working piece of equipment. I paid almost £200 for the table saw and as it came in kit form took my time assembling. Anyways once I had checked and rechecked I had done it right I went for my first cut. Straight through not a problem... next cut was also good... third cut seemed a little harder but was still softwood and bang... FLAMES came out of the side of the saw unit and blew out the electrics in my workshop. What a crock of sheet.... customer service is about as helpful as a smack in the mouth... told to take it back to where I purchased... FROM YOU IDIOTS DIRECTLY... then she hung up... I have now telephoned 24 times and emailed well over 10 times... No answers and will call you back.... nothing.... so beware with this company and its products... cheap sheet...

Won a Einhell drill in a competition and didn't get to use it for over 2 years when the warranty had run out. Discovered that they had put a wrong battery in the box!!!"£$%
Would they change it? Like hell they would, but very keen to direct me to where I could purchase one on their site.
Would I buy Einhell?
Definitely not. Poor customer service usually come from companies with poor quality goods as they get fed up with all the complaints,

Ordered self propelled, key start Einhell lawnmower from MowDirect.
Delivery fine. Unable to keep engine going, because, it was subsequently revealed there was a mistake in the instructions. Resolved after call to Webdirect and then the manufacturer. Subsequent problems keeping the engine running emerged. Family tragedy took me away from home for four months and I employed someone to cut my grass for me who used their own mower because they too could not keep Einhell engine running. On return home same problem. As it was less than a year since purchase I assumed I would be able to get a replacement machine or my money back.
Contacted MowDirect who explained I had to go to Einhell. I wrote explaining my circumstances and they said they would take mower in for assessment, I said I would prefer to have my money back as I was having to continue to pay for grass cutting and had no confidence in the machine. They said I was not entitled to a refund. More than a month after it was taken away I was informed it had been fitted with a new carburettor and would be returned. So I now still have the machine that has never worked properly because its carburettor was faulty and no compensation for the stress, inconvenience and money spent during what was already the most stressful time I have ever experienced. No humanity displayed by Einhell or even professional pride in their product. Would never buy a lawnmower online again and would certainly never buy anything made by Einhell.
If it was possible to give no stars I would have gone for this option!

Do not buy #einhell #lawnmowers. They cannot supply spare parts. My 2 year old mower is useless because I can't buy clutch cable. They keep promising that it will be in stock but no luck (since November so three months now). Their after sales service is truly dreadful - they will not accept an order if the item is out of stock - you have to keep calling them back. Not a good example of German efficiency.

Never heard of Einhell before, but saw a Einhell BG-PM 51SHW 4-in-1 mower advertised on Mow Direct and after checking out the Einhell uk website where it stated that all Einhell products are backed by a 2 year gauruntee and ' an excellent after sales service' I duly bought said mower from Mow Direct.
The first machine delivered was damaged, the replacement appeared ok, built well so on first impressions I was quite happy. However.. On its lowest setting it left the grass longer than any mower I have ever owned or used, some 35mm minimum cut.
I contacted Mow Direct who stated that it did say in specification that minimum cut was 30mm so suggested that I contact Einhell. I started to contact Einhell on 28/4/2011 which is where I started to experience their 'excellent after sales service'!
Emailed 28/4/2011 and as no reply emailed again on 4/5/11 no reply though had email confirmation they had been received.
Rang Einhell customer service 10/5/11. 1st call cut off when I got through!, rang again, after wait got through to advisor (didn’t introduce herself) explained I had been emailing technical support and had no reply, I was asked name and I was swiftly informed she would ask ‘j' to reply to my email and rang off!, no apology or apparent concern regarding non contact.
Wrote to uk manager 16/5/11 via email regarding complaint re lack of response.
Did then get a response from customer advisor via email saying that if I replied with telephone number I would receive a call which I did finaly on 16/5/11.!!
Person seemed helpful and asked that I give her some time to get back to me, thought perhaps might get local agent to look at mower I agreed.
As no response after 2 weeks I emailed on 31/5/2011 to ask if following last contact any decision advice forthcoming. No reply! Though received confirmation emails read.
I rang the UK Einhell customer service on 6/6/2011 to ask to speak to customer advisor from 16/5/11, was told she was busy but would get straight back to me.
Surprise, Surprise no call or contact. I have given up wasting my time to try and get a response after numerous email and calls. Dont know how they can win awards with service like this. Guess I'll trade new machine in somewhere, take a loss and never look at an Einhell again.
